Hallowe'en .... and the goblins have taken over my internet and computer.

Couldn't get a post together last night and not this afternoon ... right up until now when I finally got Blooger to load a page for me.

And so .....

The bottle opens with a nice pop and fizz. Pours with vigorous effervescence and produces a hearty top of creamy froth that hangs on till you take a couple sips.

The beer tastes clean if a little on the hoppy side ( which I like ) and leaves the mouth feeling refreshed and well prepared for another taste. Deeper draughts are rewarding as well.

Yes indeed because only people who are soft on crime can be seen as "Smart". The implication being of course that to hold a different view is "Stupid".

In spite of the decades of evidence to the contrary where every single weakening of our laws and liberalization of our justice system has brought about more chaos and and greater insecurity of our being and property, the "Smarter than You" LIberal still clings to the failed and false concepts. The theorized belief that being gentle and forgiving with sociopaths and psychotics is going to make our society somehow better.

Meanwhile those with a modicum of actual sense and the barest smidgen of analytical ability must acquiesce to the self proclaimed superiority of the LIberal mind.

Excuse me while I go back to my indulging of the simple belief that doing the same thing and expecting different results is just plain stupid.

A little over a year ago, ElectricMotorsport gutted a Yamaha R1 and fitted it with batteries
and an electric motor.

They've been working on the concept and now introduced the GPR-S equipped with lithium/Ion batteries.

Now it looks like a finished bike, no strapped on battery pack this time, with a 60 to 70 mph top speed and a 35 to 60 mile range depending on whether you’re running in power or economy mode. An onboard charger takes 4 hours to charge it back up or an optional speed charger does the trick in 1.5 hours. The price is $8000.00.

I was up earlier than usual today and caught the very first hour of the CBC morning news.

Sheesh !

First up some comments from the web site going all negative on the LPC! Egads ...........

I may paraphrase in my efforts to quote:

Followed by some analysis of Dion's failure to listen to those in the LPC who actually have functioning brains the Ceeb went on to question the wisdom of Mr. Dufus' declaration of intnet to remain leader.

Perhaps setting the tone for their desired narative the CBC we know are in love with ....
The designated heir to the throne.... the choice of our betters of the Canadian Media elite .... non other than Sasha Trudeau? Already having been compared to a Canadian Barack Obama .... our very own messiah of progressive change?

Watch for ever more hyper praise of the Trudeau ascendent.

On the other hand the worm it seems has not turned completely. Our national broadcaster allowed a full 10 minutes of the dufus descendant Dion to go on and on about how the evil Conservatives misportrayed him and his policies.

Economists Blowing Hard for Hard Times

Of course the Canadian Press is right there to hold the bullhorn for the doomsayers.

I find it increasingly odd that "experts" like some economic analysts at financial institutions are blowing the recession horn so loudly and banging the hard times drum so fervently.


To what end?

Here we see that they are now apparently promoting government deficits. Imagine economists advocating government meddling in the economy! Just the kind that CP would love to trumpet.

Deficit Better Option than Cuts ?

"......The possibility of a deficit may frighten Canadians but it's better to slip into the red briefly now than to face tax hikes and spending cuts later when the economic slump worsens and red ink piles up, economists said Monday. "

Uhum.... let's see now ..... cutting is good when we need to reduce the government drain on the economy except when the economy is not doing so good.

Something along the lines of what Ontario is doing? How's that working out?

WRONG .... cutting government spending is always the right thing to do and I can think of a few places to start right now. Why wait for another bad fiscal quarter?

Kill the HRCs ! Save ?? tens of $millions!

Kill the Gun Registry ! Save Hundreds of $millions!

Kill the CBC ! Save $Billions !

Kill all funding for social, cultural and activist groups! Remember the S.O.W. (CSW) they got their funding back. Kill it for good save Hundreds of $millions.

Make the LPC pay Canadians back the Tens of $millions they stole and while your at it put all the crooks in jail. No money to be saved by jailing them of course but it would make a lot of people feel better. Is it not the Progressive way to make people feel better?

Now I could get behind some deficit planning provided first of all that every last cost cutting measure had been taken and then only as an alternative to adding more taxation into the mix.

If it was strictly my call I'd CUT taxes CUT Spending and let the economy sort itself out.

Well some would say "Used to be made of" because this sort of dedication and selflessness seems precious rare if not totally absent in our current times. For the contrast with your average LIberal Canadian of the current day could not be more stark.


Leo Major the Twice Decorated DC hero of Zwolle in WWII and later distinguished in action during the Korean conflict.

He passed away this past week in his home town of Montreal.

Consider this sort of courage and dedication the next time you read about some freaks making a big fuss about some "cause" or other that bears no distinction whatsoever.

The sort who especially would mock the likes Leo Major who at the age of 19 lost an eye in the D-day invasion .... refused medical treatment and returned to active combat .... chased the German occupying force out of the Dutch town of Zolle single handedly ... received further injuries that would hinder him for life ... yet years later still enlisted for duty in Korea where he again distinguished himself in action.

Leo Major accomplished more in his nineteenth year than any of us will in our entire lives.

Proportional Representation - The Losers Bleat

It's no accident that the MSM is spinning this in the wake of a strong conservative electoral success !

Proportional Representation... It boils down to this ....

When you can't succeed by the rules everyone lives with then bitch and moan about the rules.

Proportional representation advocates claim that it's more fair. Except they won't acknowledge that it's just a way of stacking the deck based on creating further social divisions and opening the door to the kind of un-democratic political coalitions that prevail everywhere it is used.

Update on this point:

Arguments that claim because voter turn out is low we have less democracy are fallacious.
Those who choose not to participate are voluntarily forgoing their rights. This is not a problem that is the result of our electoral system, rather it is a symptom of social malaise that I would squarely put at the feet of the same sort of people who would promote PR as the solution. I say that PR would do nothing to correct this and that no one is able to demonstrate otherwise. Point of fact is that voter turn out in European nations who have various forms of PR is as bad or worse than our own.

I might as well argue that true proportional representation would account for low voter turnout by taking a proportional number of representative positions out of parliament. In other words how about if Toronto turned out only 36% of eligible voters? Could we then argue that 64% of the MP seats from the area be eliminated? would that be more democratic or less?

Is my suggestion going to make a better democracy or is it simply absurd?

No more or less absurd than the arguments offered in favour of PR!

Voter participation is simply a canard in the discussion. Irrelevant to the matter of whether or not PR is a better system than our own.

They point to the fact that in Canada and in the USA we are in the minority of nations who do not adopt this or similar forms of representation. They do not care to acknowledge that in fact our government works much better because we do not follow the herd.

They claim that it is more democratic .... not acknowledging that the concept is at its root a socialistic idea that regards the so called rights of groups who cannot succeed without some systemic form of interference on their behalf to be of greater importance than having the actual level playing field that respects the one citizen = one vote rule in favour of a form of affirmative action that rewards failures and incompetence rather than providing some level of filtration to eliminate the waste from the system.

They who promote proportional representation are in fact the same sort that demand their children be allowed to play on sports teams that they do not qualify for. They are same people who have promoted the steady lowering of standards in our education systems. They are the same people who constantly feel free to end any meaningful debate with some invocation of political correctness. They are the same people whose fall back position is always seeking the interference of the Nurse Nanny state.

.... they are whiners.

Canada's electoral system works and it is the BEST system to elect a parliament.

We do not need to follow the herd of dysfunctional nations down the toilet bowl of political correctness or socialistic statism by adopting the electoral processes that only encourage such devolution.

The fact is We Are Better because of our institutions and the only conclusions that can be drawn from the moaning of those who wish to change this is that they are either completely ignorant of and blind to the consequences of adopting their ideas or that they are willfully advocating for a weaker and more socialistic nation.

Either way ignoramuses or outright enemies of our society the proponents of proportional representation should be viewed with suspicion and disdain.

It's no accident that the MSM is spinning this in the wake of a strong conservative electoral success !

Well that didn't take long!

Since their 5 week hiatus to focus on campaigning for the LIberals, elevating Elizabeth May to the imaginary status of someone we should give a shit about and offering Jack Layton a daily soapbox...

It's back to business as usual

Of course since things really didn't go as planned for the Ceeb tribe they really do need to change the channel so to speak.

First with some half hearted attempts to paint the election results as a conservative failure and conflating a 90% success in the ultimate goal of achieving majority status with some justification for PM Harper to resign as the leader of the CPC. Then with some luke warm moral support for the laughable Dion in the He's a Good Man vein of sympathy seeking bleats. Then with a steady stream of Liberal mouthpieces to tell us all that they are still the Natural Governing Party and will be back to correct things. Not explainng of course exactly how they are going to do that but still revealing yet again that their priorities lay not with offering Canadians good government but rather justifying and perpetuating their own existence. The CBC of course happy to help.

Back to normal...
This morning the ever more decrepit Henry (the chump) Champ found it appropriate while discussing the US Presidential Debate to compare John McCain to Stephane Dion.... never mind the irony built into the mindset that their pet political hero has become a metaphor for loser....

The CBC has also resumed their love affair with Omar Khadr and will be airing yet another one hour documentary on the captured terrorist sure to be full of tender sympathies for the murderous offspring of Canada's premier welfare sucking jihadiis.

Oh well! At least Trevor Kennerd managed to earn his 14,108 votes. A fact we celebrated until they closed the bar last night. And to boot proved himself the far better man by going to her headquarters and congratulating her on the win! That's after the BS smear she and her cronies tried to pull during the campaign. Trevor is a big man!

Many thanks to those folks with the sense to see the opportunity to toss out the old laundry.


Congratulations to Steve Fletcher, Rod Bruinooge and the others who held their office and others like Vic Toews and Jim Bezan who proved that they do speak for their constituents and loudly.


Special congratulations to Shelly Glover for unseating another perennial Liberal in St. Boniface.
Also, to Candice Hoepner whose supporters crush the enemy with 68% of the vote.

On the one hand we have a party that has promoted and implemented virtually nothing but socialist policies for over thirty years. Not to mention the ever more ingrained culture of corruption and entitlement of that party's elite. Criminal charges extant and pending.

Are we better off as a nation because of this?

The current incarnation of this socialist party has chosen to promote the least competent and possibly the least intelligent man they have ever elevated to the position. Don't bother arguing about PhD's in sociology or language barriers or sudden hearing impairments. Prone to hysterics and incapable of taking advice or even listening to his supporters .... This guy is a fool.

Do you really want a socialist pedant and political incompetent to be prime minister of Your country?

On the other hand we have a party that has cast off the old and reformed itself with the help of a political leader who united the fractured conservative supporters of this country, brought forward policies that address injustices and waste in our government while advancing the interests of the Canadian taxpayer and the economic backbone of our nation the business community.

A party that chose a strong and capable leader.

A true student of the political process who holds a graduate degree in economics, something that requires actual ability to think and solve problems in the real world.

A leader who in spite of the outrageous efforts of his opponents and the outright lies propagated against him in the media has proved himself capable of not only withstanding the constant abuse of those politically motivated attacks but more importantly shows his ability to stay focussed on real issues.

Swimming In Dirty Water - CBC Update

More oily scum on the shallow waters of the Neville camp and her supporters at the CBC.

In their attempts to justify the report they put out the CBC wants us to believe that they are being simply "Fair and Balanced". Because as Cecil Rosner puts it ...

"As you know, there is increased scrutiny during elections of positions adopted by candidates and statements they have made in the past. There have already been many stories during the course of this campaign detailing past statements from candidates, and questions surrounding whether the candidates continue to hold those views. These have involved candidates from several different parties."

Implying of course that Mr. Kennerd's letter of concern over the actions of that school board are the moral equivalent of spewing lunatic conspiracy theories that were propagated by anti semitic and America hating left wing groups or those others who were advocating drug use or murder of native protesters.

To the CBC and Mr. Rosner it's all just news we are to believe.

Except that in every other case it has been because of widespread publicity brought about by bloggers that forced their hand.

In the case of this attempted smear of Mr. Kennerd it seems that one letter culled from the files of a liberal activist school board office by Anita Neville supporters and fellow activists is sufficient cause to make it newsworthy to the CBC.

More People are taking up the analysis of this outrageous attempt by the CBC to play political water bearer for LIberal Anita Neville.

The Black Rod skewers Neville and the CBC .

Question: If A letter from a parent asking about a school board's waste of resources is a newsworthy topic.

Should not the very actions and motivations of those on that school board also be examined.

Anita Neville and her radical social agenda along with her associations with activist groups ought to be brought to the public attention.

Unfortunately, I was forced to listen to CBC radio news this morning while preparing my coffee.

The theme of the day seems to be Recession ..... as in ........... we are in one.

As if the depth of knowledge possessed by the CBC talking heads and editors is anything more than the surface slime on a stagnant puddle in an urban parking lot! As if these people are anything but cyphers for people who truly would be happy to see us all struggling with a truly crippled economy.




Stock market corrections no matter how extreme or frightening to the ignoramuses in the MSM do not equal recession.
The Canadian Economy created16,000 net new jobs last month. And the GDP is still in growth territory.

Same thing in the USA.

Massive bank / credit bailouts by federal governments do not equal recesssion.

Recession is negative economic growth for a period of two quarters (6 months)

If you wish to view periods of cyclical economic decline as recession you may have an argument that our economy is in the first stages of such a period.

You may not however draw conclusions about the scope or real impact of any such cycle until you have actual data to support your ideas.

The MSM wants us all to believe that we are on the brink of ruin ..... it makes a better story that way.

It achieves the theoretical efficiency of 50% because it is converting the mechanical energy of the combustion into electricity with no mechanical conversion from reciprocating movement to revolving components. It reminds me of those flashlights that have magnets moving inside coils that you power by shaking.

So, measuring the amount of E produced gives an optimistic impression of what in the real world needs to have consideration for what can be done with the electric power.

However ..... the thing is that this engine can be adapted to use just about any kind of fuel and given the right circumstances could be more cost efficient than such things as Fuel Cell batteries.

That being said .... in the realm of electric vehicles the real opportunity has to come from better and lighter batteries.

Interesting concept though.

The other day a used the word perspicuity ......

It was bothering me that I could not get spell checker to recognize it .... two days later I realized that in the first place I had misspelled it as perpiscuity and that in fact I should have used the term perspicacity!

The thing that gets me about this is that even the misspelled word can be found in examples on the web ....... there is a moral in there somewhere.

Devout father of slain Alberta girl cried out to God for help

On the matter of the Murder of Lisa Stauffer in Edson Alberta this past week ....

Canadian Press Reporter Lisa Arrowsmith chooses to treat the fact that this family and community are Christian and practice their faith as they live their lives as though this fact makes them somehow the central issue rather than the crime itself.

And of course CP is happy to run with that.

Revealing through her finding it necessary to weave this information into her report that the death and funeral of murder victim Emily Stauffer are not sufficient reason for her to take herself to the keyboard.

Rather that she must make an issue by pointing out that the family is Christian and by describing this reaction of her father and other observations that this is somehow an issue that must be made news of. That Christians and we might suspect especially those Baptists of Edson Alberta and most notably the grieving family of a murder victim are nothing to her but some sort of aberrant community of freaks?

Seems that way. The mind of a secular liberal pretending to be a journalist is revealed.

Well I'm taking the stand that Lisa is an ignorant liberal twit who should learn some manners first of all about dealing publicly with the tragedy and grief of people. Then she should make an effort to learn that Christians are the majority within our society ( a fact which makes it likely that she herself is of Christian Heritage) and that our nation's founding institutions, successes and our principles of law and justice are based on the very values that these people are trying to live by.

The illiberal, uninformed and arrogant liberal MSMers ...... incapable of any sort of human or simply factual understanding. A real product of our current educational system and I'm sure the .. the pride of her J school.

I suspect that Lisa and CP will display a great deal more sympathy and understanding for the perpetrator of this atrocity once he is found than that shown for the family and community of Lisa Stauffer.

Mindset of The MSM Revealed

Meet Dan Lett Columnist in the Winnipeg Free Press who perhaps unintentionally reveals the underlying mindset and motivation of more if not most of his peers in the MSM.

In this article discovered in the Freep today .... Dano Ponders the deep implications of scandal and how no matter what the media do to try to bring down public support of the Conservative party and our leader PM Stephen Harper the public just don't seem to care.

Of course Mr. Lett goes to great lengths to remind us all yet again of what he sees as the given fact of the series of scandals faced by the Conservatives making sure to include some inflammatory language and not a mention that NONE as in not one of these so called scandals might be anything more than desperate attempts at confabulation by politically motivated persons.

IN the bulk of his piece Dano seems to be bemoaning the seeming failure of his bretheren to have any significant effect or simply acting puzzled at the lack of results.

A signifcant quote from Dan:

"Back to the plagiarism scandal. Can a single act of immorality become the income trust investigation letter of the 2008 campaign? We journalists are suitably outraged but it's unclear voters care any more about this scandal than any of the other scandals. Poll results over the next few days should be watched closely."

Where we learn that not only is PM Harper in fact a plagiarist ( not his writer who actually took the words and included them in a speech) but also that he is guilty of "Immorality" because of it.

And the capper where Dano lets the cat out of the bag for real:

"Perhaps the problem here is that we in the media are simply looking for the wrong consequence. Although it appears none of these mini scandals is likely to hurt any one party, it might hurt all of them when nobody shows up to vote on October 14."

You see it's not at all about the lofty ideals of informing the public. Rather it's all about how much dispruption can be caused by these oh so civic minded members of the media.

Oh and by the way Mr. lett consider that perhaps your failure is because of your failings and the public is just plain sick and tired of your BS.

I suspect that 90% of the people who will be discussing this today will have gotten their information from the morning news rather than seeing for themselves.

Not surprisingly the winner of the Poo Flinging contest was Jack Layton who managed to hurl the most well directed loads. Dion close second for his BIG ONE one Harper being the problem that hurts our economy.

Today's Five Minute Scandal - Redux

It seems that Canadian Press - is keeping the faux controversy alive still today ... working hard it seems to keep up the illusion that this is news. Supposedly just because they say so.....

Reports World Media in some kind of frenzy over it.

More like world media either scratching their heads or being just as clueless as CP and the gang.
Lefty newsrag in Australia took the story to the next level and reported that PM Harper has resigned over this BS.

I suppose that Boob Rae will be commenting today on how this reflects on Canada and Our PM.

Today the LIberals revealed that Prime Minister Stephen Harper once read a speech (5yr ago) that was prepared for him by on of his writers who later today admitted that he had used extensive copy from a speech by then Austrlian PM John Howard.

That did not stop the MSM and as noted in the story by Darcey especially CTV from broadcasting the accusation that "Harper is a Plagiarist" all day long.

Notably the clueless Dion was still ranting about Harper's alleged misdeed well after the fact had been settled and the MSM had already moved on to other minutaie and non stories.

Ironically somebody noticed that LPC website had been cleaned up with the deletion of an article plagiarized from the David Suzuki Foundation ... well after all the other noise was settled.

By 7:00 this evening all signs of the faux story had disappeared.
