Little Cat Feet

Shaggy and his littermate brother Scooby came to live with us in October 2005, when they were 5 years old. Scout arrived in 2006 at the age of 6 weeks. Scooby passed over very suddenly to the Rainbow Bridge on April 1, 2012 and is remembered fondly and missed deeply.

This is Great

We got this spiffy red kitty cube from Max for Secret Paws!
I have gone crazy over it!
I spend lots of time in there.
It is the bestest place to be stealthy, like when I want to attack one of my brothers when they walk past, or spy on the humans.
As you can see, it is also good for napping.
It's like my own private clubhouse.

We Had Fun

Lots and lots of fun playing in and diving under the wrappings an Christmas!
The people even left them out for a couple days so we could burrow & rassle in them!
Scout had the most fun, everything was something new to attack, he especially liked the bright and sparkly ribbons & bows.
Scooby observed the present opening from a distance, he doesn't like chaos. He likes things to be quiet & orderly.
I had a good time too, except when the boy put the red ribbon you see in the picture around my neck. -Shaggy

Guinea Pigs Secret Paws

Sasha, Emma Sue & Toby here! Hi blogosphere! We got our Secret Paws package yesterday!
It's from the Ratz of the Fluffy Tribe! How cool is that?!!
We'll show you what we got!

Mom had to put the stuff up on a chair and let us look at it there because the cats kept trying to horn in on our special goodies. See how nice those ratties wrapped the boxes. They did a great job, but we get to unwrap them...that's way more fun!

Yum there's dried corn, a special favorite that we like to nibble on throughout the day. Mom breaks them in half so they last longer. Very tasty!

And dried pineapple bits! We absolutely love fruit!! We always eat that first from our bowls when we get some.

Look at the cool wood toy! It's a rolly ball that we can chew on too. Chewing on stuff keeps us from getting bored in our cages and this is a great pig toy we've never seen before.

The Ratz human momma sewed the nifty tunnel. We really love to burrow into things like blankets or towels and now we have our very own tunnel. Toby liked it right away as you can see.

And those thoughtful ratties even included a box of chocolates for our mom! Mom is a choco-holic and she thanks you all very much!

We are going to go eat & play now with our great new things!

Thanks Morgana, Wolfie, Percy, Harry, Sherlock and Dimitrie!

Secret Paws

Max & Buddah are our Secret Paws!!!!

The box came yesterday and look! They even put their paw prints on the box!
Look at all the cool loot we got!

A kitty cube! We didn't have one of those yet. Probably the last cats in the Blogosphere to get one, but we have one now. A snazzy red one too!

Catnip miceys! The heart shaped ones, too. We know those are from Buddah 'cause they're his favorites!

Oh man, we LOVE this catnip pouch!! We were attacking it before mom could take off the packaging.

We are also ashamed to admit we started fighting over it! Oh it's got g-0-o-d nip in there!

Last but not least........

Temptations!!!!! A jumbo pack for our snacking pleasure!
Max & Buddah, Thank you very much!!!!
You guys rock!!

Stoopid Post Office

Mom went to mail out our Secret Paws packages and
family gifts at the post office.
There were about 20 people in line and they had only one window open!
Needless to say it took a very l-o-n-g time to get out of there.
But the packages are on their way!

The Visitors are Gone

The kitties we were taking care of stayed for 2 weeks in our basement.
They have gone now to stay with the Dad of the young man who owned them and whose townhouse was foreclosed. Our 20 year old boy also was living there, so that's how we ended up with these visitor cats.
The meezer is named Wonder and the gray one is called Seven, because he has 7 toes on each foot.
Mom cried when they left and is missing them because she fell in love with them while they were here. They were trying hard to join the family, bolting up the stairs every chance they got but one of us was always there to stop them with a growl and a hiss. Once Wonder got as far as the boy's old room but Scooby sat outside the door & trapped him there until mom came to take him downstairs again.
Wonder was having diarrhea while he was here and did some really eye watering poops. Mom says it was probably stress but told the boys to tell that new dad that he may need a vet to look at him. So mom is still worried about him. He was such a tiny little boy, he curled up right into her chest when she held him. Seven wasn't much for holding but he would jump into her lap for a snuggle. He also was a very loud meower! We hope that the dad will get them their ho-ha-ectomies soon.
We three are glad to have our basement back however, and have been exploring it thoroughly since they left many intriguing scents down there.

Toby & Shaggy

Hi Everybody!
Here's some pictures of me & Toby the guinea pig checking out the snow on the deck and chilling on the floor in the family room.
Mostly he likes to run in circles when he gets out on the floor but he's brave too, and will come right up to me and check out my fur. He's making sure I'm not hiding any carrots in there.
Nope, none today, Toby.

(Stoopid date thingy on the camera. Screws up every time the batteries get changed. We can't figure out how to turn it off altogether.)

Update on The Visitors

Well, the Visitor Cats you met in the last post are settling into the basement pretty well.
We are overwhelmed by your spontaneous offerings of financial help for their nootering!
Mom really has no intention of getting this done right now, she is just letting them crash in the basement for a very short time then the owner will have to make a decision about them. Most likely they will go to a shelter. Both are very adoptable. They are sweet, friendly cats and have no problem meeting lots of different people, as there were lots of people coming & going out of their former home all the time. Each would settle into a family right away.
Mom has given the run of the basement during the day, but tucks them into the spare bedroom at night. She is just praying they don't start to spray. They really don't smell, either, even though they have those hoo-ha's.
One strange thing, since they lived with 4 young men they both will get up & go to greet Dad with meows and leg rubbings when he enters the room. But when Mom goes in, they either try to escape, or just sit there and blink at her. Definitely male-oriented cats!!!

Visitor Cats

Look what's in our basement!
Our boy was staying with 3 other guys in a townhouse that got foreclosed.
The boys all went different directions and the boy who had the cats went to stay with his mother who lives someplace that charges $100 per animal and they can't afford it.
They tried until the last day there to find a home for these two, but couldn't, and didn't want to take them to a shelter.
So our mom, who has a soft heart and can't say no, said they could stay in a room in the basement for the time being.
She's going to ask some neighbors if they want one but frankly, mom doesn't expect any takers.
The gray one has extra toes, and is about 2. The little Meezer is about 1. Neither are neutered, which makes them harder to place in homes.
They are sweet, loving kitties, so gentle and beautiful, and would fit into a family right away.
They need homes soon, they can't just stay in that bedroom indefinitely.
