Little Cat Feet

Shaggy and his littermate brother Scooby came to live with us in October 2005, when they were 5 years old. Scout arrived in 2006 at the age of 6 weeks. Scooby passed over very suddenly to the Rainbow Bridge on April 1, 2012 and is remembered fondly and missed deeply.

Our Little Sister

Here's a picture of our little guinea pig sister Emma Sue.

She's enjoying cuddle time on mom's lap. Her sister Sasha was picking on her so mom took her out of the cage to have some one on one time. Sometimes Sasha tries to hump her to show she is the dominant piggy. Over & over. Sheesh.

After cuddles and pettings, she went down to run on the floor for some exercise and made some little doots in the corner.
Ah, the life of a guinea pig!
Eat, Sleep, Poop. Hmmmmm.........sounds somewhat familiar.......

Hurry Up Spring!

Yesterday was a pretty nice in our neck of the woods.

We asked Mom if we could go outside and check out the sunshine and listen to the birdies.

There was a little melting going on but the sun wasn't warm, it was still a cold sun. You cats in Florida and other warm places might not understand that, but you can tell when spring is really here for real by the way the air and the sun feel together. Soft and gentle.

It was nice to get outdoors anyway.

My delicate little cat feet got cold pretty quickly, but Scout stayed out for maybe 30 minutes on his leash watching birds and just enjoying the fresh air.
This just makes us and mom more and more anxious for spring to truly get here.

Hey Foxy Lady

Well, it's wildlife week around here!
If you saw the post below, mom saw a coyote out walking around like he owned the place.
And today as mom was driving home late afternoon, suddenly the traffic came to a stop.
She thought someone was slowing down to turn onto a side street.
But then, jumping the snowbank at the side of the car in front of her was a good sized red fox!
Very sleek looking, with a big poofy tail and a real pointy snout with big pointy ears. Wasn't scared or anything, just walked past like its no big deal.
Aren't they nocturnal? This one should know better than going across busy roads just before rush hour!
Maybe since the weather has been colder than usual and snowier than its been in several years, the wild creatures are coming into the neighborhoods searching for food? The coyote & fox didn't look as if they were starving though. Nice healthy size. It's a mystery.

Nice Doggie

Our suburb west of Minneapolis has lots of wetlands, ponds, lakes and natural areas running all through it. It's not unusual to see deer, foxes, raccoons, possums and such come into the neighborhoods.
Well, at dusk yesterday Mom was driving past a wooded area that butts up to a big medical research facility while heading over to a friends house.
As she was looking out the window, she could see a little ahead of her a medium size doggie trotting along the sidewalk.
She thought to herself, "Oh look, he's taking himself for a walk. Sure hope he knows where he's going, it's gonna get cold tonight."
As she came alongside him and got a better look, she realized "That's no doggie, that's a coyote!"
Nice doggie.......just finish your walk and go back to the woods!

Great Nip

We still have some of the great Primo Cat Nip that Karl from The Cat Realm sent us for Winter Secret Paws.

I tested it personally to make sure the quality is still good.

Anyone who wants to come on over is more than welcome.
