2013.07.28 Beach Time

 Beach Days!

We love getting our feet in the sand and playing near the Ocean.  We are Idaho natives so the wind and cold is just an added bonus.  Jillian and Mommy did some yoga.  Everyone chased the waves.  Colton and Jace did some kite flying.

When we got home from the beach Colton discovered a unique beetle.  We sent a text to Mom's Volleyball coach from College.  His name is Bill.  He is an entomologist.  He told Colton it was a 10 line beetle.  It was a giant.  Colton still loves finding creatures.

2013-07-27 GNO Campout

We had a great time again getting together for a camp out.  As the kids get bigger it is harder through the week to find time to get them together, so this is perfect.  A few days in the dirt to play to their hearts content.  The Mommies even get some time to visit and the Daddies try to sneak in a motorcycle ride or two as well.  We did some painting, some butterfly chasing/catching and a lot of hiking.

2013.06.03 Pool Time

This little guy is quite the swimmer and acrobat.  He has mastered a front flip and a gainer.  Each time he jumps my heart skips a beat, but he loves it so I put my brave face on and cheer him on.

2013-07-08 Family Vacation to the Oregon Coast Beach Time

Our last evening we spent hanging out on the beach.  This vacation was just what mom needed.  I am so blessed to have my family!

2013.07.08 Family Vacation to Oregon Coast Crab Pots!

It was hard to know who had the most fun crab potting!!  I LOVED it.  It is my style of fishing.  You sink a pot down to the bottom of the ocean.  Hang out, visit, eat a snack... pull the crab pot up and see what you got.  The crabs shell had to be about 6 inches long for it to be a keeper.  So we would pull up the pot and dump the crabs out, they would all start to scatter.  They walk sideways so eventually they all made it back to the bottom of the Ocean.  But it is a race to measure them before they dive off the peer.  We were very fortunate to get a Keeper!  It was the only Keeper of the day.  The people that rented us the pot were great with the kids too.  The boiled the crab, gave Colton the shell, and then let us all try it.  It was delicious!  The rest of the trip we spent a lot of time walking like a crab ourselves!
