Second Birthday Celebration!

Anna was our next friend that was going to be gone on the weekend. She came to celebrate early and brought the super Mario brothers cupcake cake and a transformer. Each cupcake had various parts of the super Mario world to make a scene from level one. I heard Jonathan was a key part of the design and the finished product! Thanks Jonathan! Anna played super Mario brothers with the big guy (she was the princess and Colton was Mario) next they opened presents. Colton got a transformer that was perfect for him. Thanks Anna! Colton says Anna is his best girlfriend.Posted by Picasa

Colton's first Birthday Celebration!

Mathew.. our neighbor next door was going to be gone during Colton's birthday party so we had a little get together prior to the big day. Both boys were equally excited about the new Iron Man and Colton learned that his real name is Tony Stark. Matt made Colton promise him that Colton would get him the same present for him when it was his turn for a birthday. Mathew is one of Colton's best best best best friends. Posted by Picasa

Quick trip to Poky

I love good ol' fashioned family time and so does my sister Erin. She is willing to pack up her family and meet me in Poky every time that I make plans and don't flake out. Brian was knee deep in football so I packed up the kids and gave Brian the weekend off to go meet my family. Here is batman (colton) Grandma and Kashus (kip's oldest). I love watching these two together because an adventure is waiting around every corner.Posted by Picasa

The Steam Engine!

Our good friend John English is a retired railroad engineer. He told us about a 1970's historic steam engine locomotive that was making a historic run across the states. We tracked the progress all day and when we were driving to the best spot to see it we saw it chugging by! It was going so fast because it was late so it had to make up time. We turned around and tried to go catch it but I don't think we did. Good thing another "steam engine" came by and we got to watch that one. The big guy was real disappointed. Colton was entertained to be so close the a normal train. It was a fun adventure for the afternoon. I love this picture of him waiting and listening for the steam engine to come.

Go Patriots.

Daddy is a true patriots fan through and through (mom is a colts fan or which ever team I think will beat the patriots) anyways here are our kids in their patriot gear. I was going to make Jillian a colts fan but the patriots vintage T was so much cuter than any of the Colts gear. Colton is really getting into watching football with his Dad. He is quick to give me a play by play if I am not watching. He also insists that I "watch the replay." Jace and Jillian celebrate any play with the touchdown sign.Posted by Picasa

Colton's First Flight

I am blessed to work with some of the best people in the world! One of them likes to practice using her grandma skills for when she has grand kids of her own. Well Colton came to visit me one day and I found him in her office. He laid out some specs for her with specific directions about making a superhero cap. Well she did not disappoint! This was Colton taking his first flight in his new cap. So Cute! Thanks Deb! Posted by Picasa

Early signs of fall.

The first weekend in Sept brings about some of my favorite things. Boys in jammies and cowboy boots... be sure to check out the bug catcher Colton has attached to his back. He has about 17 "sleeping" butterflies in his net. Next pic, Jace's first time on a bike (in his boise state colors, he lost his clothes somewhere along the way because in the next pic his nakid + diaper). He was very proud to be scooting/riding with the big boys. Next Jill in her boise state best wrestling with Jace on the couch. Who doesn't love fall?Posted by Picasa

Fisrt Day of Preschool.

Colton on his first day of Pre School. What a handsome little guy! Can you believe he is only three in the picture... Posted by Picasa

Jace face!

I am not sure how this came about but whenever Brian says Jace Face to Jace he scrunches his nose up and makes a funny face. It is great entertainment. He can always find a way to make us smile. Posted by Picasa

Bear World!

One of my Mom's favorite summer activities is a trip to Bear World. So I decided to take all three to Poky so Colton could get in on some family fun. Aunt Jenne and I swapped to big ones for two little ones (thanks Aunt Jenne) so I was able to go on the adventure with the big boys. They were so excited and very cute. Josh and Isaac loved the baby dear, he would nipple on their ears and they loved it (trying to find mom for a drink and ended up with some little boys ears...) Colton loved a little pig and followed it around for about 10 minutes. After they all had big red cheeks and a snow cone it was time to head home. Thanks Grandma for the bear world adventure.Posted by Picasa

A Mommy Milestone

I posted this picture as a Mommy Milestone! When ever Brian looks through my camera he always asks "babe, why did you take 20 pictures of this?" Well every mother knows the answer to this question.. I am trying to get one when they are all looking at me. Well I finally did it. All three looking at me. My next milestone? All three looking at me with a smile.. Keep your fingers crossed! Summer 2010

This is what summer looks like in the Deatherage house. Brian has summers off and is always outside working on a project or in the pool, so needless to say he has quite the following in the neighborhood. We have Alex, Mathew, Colton, Damian, Casi, Jace, Jillan and Mckenzi.

McCall

We took a family trip to McCall in July and it was great! We stayed at Jonathan and Anna's Cabin and it was enchanting. So peaceful and calm. Brian did a lot of fishing with Colton, we watched our friend Hailee play softball, and we took a trip to the lake! I loved going to the lake. It felt like a beach and I love the any kind of water on a hot day. Colton loved diving, Jace loved watching the water in some sand canals brian had built and Jillian enjoyed people watching. It was so much fun. I can't wait until next year! Thanks Jonathan and Anna!

A Trip to the Zoo.

I love summer! Most of all because I am not one who likes to stay home all day and in the summer it is so easy to just go on an adventure. Here is a trip to the zoo. Colton loved the bear and Jillian loved watching Colton watch the bear. Jace enjoyed feeding the goats until his little chunky finger felt like one of the pellets. He got nibbled on ( hard enough the it broke the skin!!)and then stayed on Dads shoulders for the rest of the visit.Posted by Picasa
