We got back from Florida and had a week and half before leaving Seabrook forever.
First order of business checkups for Benicio and Violet. Benicio will miss the cool boat at Dr. Lee's office.
We then headed to Don Picos a family favorite for lunch. Gonna miss those steak quesadillas.
We enjoyed the Seabrook pool one last time.....
Benicio's first time down the slide and he was HOOKED!
So many fun memories and parties were had at this pool. We will surely miss this pool and the price and the convince.
Lucia, Benicio and I got to go to SKY8 for one last run around the rink.
Tried the roller blades that night!
While we skated, Violet went to her good friends Matties party.
Gonna miss the Nahn family.

This is what happens when your house is empty and your living with the bare minimum, kids make forts.
Last exercise classes at the South Shore Fitness Center.
With my FAVORITE instructor Christy.
She pushes you to your limits but plays fun music and keeps things mixed up to make you want to come back.
Here I am with Benicio's kindergarten teacher! We took this picture to show him.
Gabe the amazing Stretch and Roll teacher. I need to keep this going in my life. Stretching is SO important.
I've never been this strong in my life and I can't help that working out with this group consistently and seeing there smiles and determination has helped me thru the years. They are such a fun group.
One morning my dear friend April met me at the gym so that we could catch up.
The kids played in the play place and we got to visit for 2 hours and eat lunch.
It was a definite highlight for sure. Gonna miss April and the Shirkey family.
We went to Bahama Bucks one last time.
Gonna miss this Texas treat.
The setup I had when people came to see the house.
My dear friend Sara who also happened to cut our hair put together a little farewell party at her house.
My friend Gail made this delicious caramel cream cake....so yummy!
Gonna miss these sweet ladies.
A cute outfit I found on MEGA clearance for the little man.
The girls spent their last activity days making burp cloths for babies in the hospital.
Love how they turned out.
These 3 got some shades to protect their eyes.
We watched the Kemah fireworks one last time.
Then Papi came home! It was time to prepare our home and pack up anything else that needed to go. We were on our way to a Tobler family reunion at the Lake of the Ozarks and thought it would be a good time to do the drive with our trailer.
Last minute projects before the move......changing a bad socket
Putting new wheel barrings and sockets on the trailer.
That day my friend Gail showed up and brought me a HUGE delicious pretzel. She said that I couldn't leave Texas without having one of these. So glad she came by.
It was decided that the cats Cleo and Tut would be better off staying in Texas because they were born there and they were outdoor kittys.
Thankfully we have an excellent neighbor that has become their custodian and loves them to pieces.
But first the kids made them "tortilla kitties" They did this to their last cat "bread cat."
Cleo
Tut
Benicio and Tut he said I don't want to say goodbye to my little brother.
Last picture of the kids with the kitties.
They are going to be so spoiled with Carolyn. She says that she is going to keep them in the house most of the time.
.
I love our home in Seabrook. When we got it, it was straight out of 1974 with a green sink and stove, paneling and lots of built in things.
We were able to remodel everything the kitchen, bathroom and Chad and my Dad made the coolest tree house you ever saw completely supported by the tree.
The last 9 months living there I was in charge of getting it ready to sell. We put in a new fence, fixed the rotting wood on the garage walls, landscaping in the front of the home, glass door enclosure for the upstairs bathroom the exterior got painted and we finally had our outdoor shower completely enclosed. Essentially the house was exactly how I wanted it to be.
Our Zillow with lot's of pictures on how the house turned out:
Not only did I love that home but also the schools that the kids attended were top notch.
But despite all of this, I know that the family that comes after us will love this home as well. We are all ready to be with Papi up in Pittsburgh. It's just hard to think that for Lucia and Benicio this is the only home they ever remember. So many awesome wonderful memories were made in these walls.
Houston will always hold a very special place in our heart. We loved the diversity, the food , friendships and experiences we have had in this city.
I love this big ole Texas sign leaving the Aldi store.
Seems appropriate.
We had to take one more Western Photo before leaving.
We are closing a pretty big chapter in our lives but look forward to the next one.
