Benicio is 5!

My baby is FIVE and it's really hard to believe.

Life is so much better with my little man.  

He LOVES to dress up and pretend play.

We have a good time together, he can be pretty funny at times.

 His sisters adore him.

Here is Lucia's portrait of her brother.

On his actual birthday he brought cupcakes for the class.

He has lots of friends at preschool.

 Then we headed to FireHouse Subs for lunch with Papi which he was so excited about. 

 We love Benicio because he is always willing to give hugs and kisses.

He loves going on walks with his Papi at night. 

 After a fun lunch with Papi we headed to the Space Center.

 He looks so official.

They gave him a Birthday Button....he was pretty excited.

We picked up the girls....he got in a power nap.

That day happened to by the last day of Track Club and Lucia got 8 Laps! The girl ran 2 miles super proud.

We celebrated with our favorite iced treat!

As soon as we got home, Lorraine and Danny picked Benicio up and took him fishing for the first time with his new fishing pole.

and what do you know....the very first cast and this boy got himself a fish!!!

It was really an awesome birthday!

We love Benicio because he is all about order.  Things have to happen a certain way.

He is used to getting his teeth flossed and when he has a babysitter at night he demands they floss his teeth.  Benicio loves to get dressed up for church, loves to wear a tie.  He loves LEGOS, cars, pirates and his dinosaurs.  He does like to watch some youtube channels mainly other boys opening boy toys. 

He will eat almost everything, especially if Papi is eating it. He loves to shave with his Papi.   He loves going to the Space Center, swimming, the beach, the park, Red Rock.  He is not a fan of going on airplanes...Benicio thinks that I should have been a bird because I always want to be going somewhere.  Despite his dislike of planes he loves going to see his far away family and friends.  

Benicio we LOVE you to pieces, so glad you are apart of our family.

Benicio's Family Party

We had a family party for Benicio at home and I found these cute marshmallow Lego heads on pintrest to put on cupcakes.  They were easy to make and I thought they turned out really cute.

 He was happy!

 We had his babysitter's family join us for dinner.

 They brought him his very own fishing pole!

 He also received a Space Suit from Tio Estiven and his boots and gloves from Abuela and Abuelo.

Talk about an exciting birthday!

Red Rock Canyon and our last day in Vegas

Love this picture of America.

Trace's boys wanted to go hiking.  So we headed to Red Rock Canyon.

The last time we were here was about 6 years ago....

This time we did a lot of bouldering....

America was fearless when it came to climbing the rocks!

Benicio was loving his adventure.

It was a perfect day and the kids got a lot of energy out in the process.

All Benicio can talk about is Red Rock and he says "When we go to Las Vegas, we go to Red Rock!"

Our last day we got to visit with Millie and Rachel!

She has gotten SO big!!  She was just starting to get into some serious crawling and she loves helium balloons!

Wrapping up the last puzzle...three done on this trip!

Gramma and Grampa had a FULL house, so grateful for this time we got to spend together.

We had a wonderful Spring Break.  Thanks Trace and Ely for driving the 6 hours to see us!

Chad's new tablet allows him to work anywhere he goes!  Which is so nice.

This was our first time flying frontier and we were not disappointed at all!

Lucia especially liked the little squirrel staring at us the entire trip.

Who would have know I was going to run into a high school friend and her family on the plane also!

It is a SMALL WORLD!

It was a wonderful week, it's going to be hard getting back into the routine again....
