School is back next week ... albeit staggered days for various age groups and schools around the country.

But ... I bet there are more than a few Mum's and Dad's that will be doing the happy dance ... school's back ... woo hoo !!!

Right then ... time to be a little creative ...
Enjoy your Sunday everyone ...

Just sharing ...

I've just twigged that I haven't been sharing a whole lot of creativity lately and I have been creative ... a whole lot - lol.

This is a layout of my niece and her husband on their wedding day last year. Wow, it's nearly a year ago that they were married ... time flies.

I've used a sketch from Pencil Lines and really had a play with this one. I've used ribbons, pearls, tulle, Prima, Carolees alphas and a little Delish together with Little Yellow Bicycle papers.

Must remember to share a little more from time to time.

A little pampering

Today I had a short visit here ...

Beauty & Beyond

Sit back, relax and enjoy a little run down on what I did ... lol ...

O.M.G. bet you are thinking to yourself, hells bells, what is the woman going to come out with now.

[have you stopped spluttering now?]

I will be gentle, I promise ... snigger ... ROFLMAO.

Right then ...

This involves your feet people, ya know those long things attached to the bottom of your legs. Anyone with a foot fetish [against feet] probably wouldn't want to step foot in the place - sorry - couldn't resist - honest!

Are you ready, here we go.

Have you ever had a professional pedicure?

Up until tonight, I would have said nope! Well now I have.

I was totally fascinated and asked 56,000 questions, only I could do that - lol.

Did I find the whole experience relaxing? Well yes I did, but will probably enjoy the next one more, cos I will sit back and relax and not be moving my head here and there, looking at what my therapist was doing, what she was grabbing type thing ...

But wowser ... old disgusting chipped nail polish removed ... well that made a huge difference in the first place - lol ... bonus!!!

And now, not necessarily in the right order ...

A nice wee soak in the foot tub whilst gently rolling my feet backwards and forwards on these wee dynamite marble looking things ... heaven!!!

Could do that every. single. day - honest !!!

A wee pat dry, that's after I've flung bubbles everywhere and dripped everywhere --- couldn't help myself!

Cuticle oil - I kid you not ... cuticle oil dripped on my toe nails, well a drop, dripped - you know what I mean - apparently it softens everything - truly.

And then wait for this ... I had a drill thing happening around the cuticle edge, getting rid of all that disgusting stuff that has built up over the .... hmmmmmmmm hmmmmmmmmmm ... years - lol!!! Didn't hurt, felt strange though all the same ... well hey, I'm not used to any of this stuff happening to my toes - lol.

I was buffed, I kid you not ... toe nails were buffed and O.M.G. what a difference that made to my toe nails.

What was next, no idea. Somewhere along the line I had my toe nails filed - yep sirrrreeeeeee - filing of the toe nails ... that might have been earlier on ...

I'm trying to go through the whole process in my head - but seriously I can't remember.

I was so not going to take notes ... it did cross my mind people, it truly did, but then I thought to myself, you would have all thought that I had totally lost the plot ... I'm working on it --- kidding !

And I came home with a Celtine Pedipad ... what is that you will be thinking ... well it is the most amazing thing that you rub all that dry, disgusting calloused skin off the bottom of your feet, around your heel and that pad bit under the top part of the foot.

Yeah, I know ... I'm great at describing things ... lol ... not !

But wowser, that rubber thing to remove all the dry skin is absolutely brilliant and I did say to my therapist, don't let me forget to take one of them home with me ... best $9 spent for a long time I reckon [that's not scrappy related - lol]. Think sand paper type stuff, one side coarser than the other and you would be heading down the right track attached to what resembles a long spatula.

A nice, relaxing foot massage with a gorgeous smelling Linden Leaves product ... divine ... both the foot massage and the gorgeous smelling product.

Tissues wound in and out between the toes ...

Another something or other liquid was drip dropped on my toe nails, it's good for them - true - can't for the life of me remember why --- just cos!

A base coat, one coat of colour, another coat of colour and then a top coat.

And wowser ... I have divine looking toes and feet - I truly do!

Now then ... have you stopped laughing at me? I'm only sharing. I'm sure that there are lots of you that have never had a professional pedicure before ... I was one of you, until today.

Don't knock it until you've tried it ladies.

Just remember two things ...

Not really ideal wearing a skirt - felt very self conscious and then when I went to leave, my feet were slip sliding around in my jandal type footwear, cos I left the heels at work, which is just as well, cos I would have probably fallen and broken my neck sliding around in a pair of heels.

An hour later, still keep looking at my toes, skin is all soft - feeling fab-u-lous.

These feet were made for walking ... but not tonight.

P.S. wonder what treatment/beauty therapy I am going to shout myself next ???

The every day things ...

well, not quite.

This isn't something that you see every day ...

It's one of those pesky household chores that I just wasn't too sure about - lol.

Cleaning blinds!!!

The smaller one was okay, it went in the bath tub and I used washing powder and a face cloth rag.

This one though, I put on a sheet outside on the paving stones and cleaned it once again with washing powder, water and a facecloth rag.

Then I hosed it down.

Knowing what I know now ... I wouldn't do this wee household chore while the sun was shining - can you believe that I actually said that out loud - crikey ... ROFLMAO ...

The sun dried it too quickly would you please and in some places left wee dried drip spots ... sometimes I have a great way of describing things. Not !!!

Two down, one to go ... rather time consuming really ... but the other blind will be done ... some time !!!

On that note ... I might whip into my scrappy mess and be a little creative.

Back to work tomorrow.

O.M.G. it's hot ...

Just thought that I would share that ...

Yep, that's coming from me ... I can't believe that I just said that ... let alone put it in writing - ROFLMAO.

At the moment it is a nice balmy ... ummmmmmmmmmmmmm 28 degrees in my lounge/media room, whatever you want to call it ... Dad, in your lingo - it's over 80!

Now that's in the lounge at the moment ... I would say inside the dining room/kitchen with the sun fair streaming in ... it's got to be at least 10 degrees warmer than that ... I kid you not and that's with the windows open.

And nope, I do NOT have the heater going!

I've just checked the HRV gauge thing in the hallway and it tells me that it is ... ummmmmmmmmm ... 37 degrees in the ceiling ... and Dad ... that's a smidgen under 100 ... and I mean a smidgen. Just barely and no more.

And we have a wind ... thankfully !!!

O.M.G. can't believe I am saying that ...

Let's just say that it is too hot for me to be outside and I should be thinking so totally positively, cos it is so gorgeous weather-wise ... but to put a dampener on life ... I've got a sore niggly ear ... buga !!!

Really wanted to go out to Teretonga today and watch the V8's with DH ... but I opted to stay home.

But I'm being positive ... no negativity ... Mother Nature - go you !!!

Boy-oh-boy --- there are going to be some sunburnt bods around the town ... not used to this!

On that note, time for a cuppa and I might just be a little bit creative or shuffle papers, or something - lol.

Just cos ...

And nope ... I haven't lost the plot ... well not completely. It's a work in progress!

Blue sky ... nothing but blue skies do I see ... something like that.

Can't remember the lyrics ... lol

Just sharing, cos I can

We're walking on sunshine

... whoa-oh ...

***

We're walking on sunshine ... front page of The Southland Times today.

Four days of fine weather predicted

HOLD on to your sunhats, Southlanders - forecasters are predicting four days of sunshine.

Four days.

***

O.M.G. if only ... can it be true ... that yellow ball could be in the sky ... four days in a row and that yellow ball should have some heat people ... some heat ...

Some heat is what has seriously been missing this so-called Summer.

Summer therefore starts tomorrow. LOL.

Here's to hoping.

all I wanna know is ...

... has the mailman been yet ...

I gave a special parcel to the postman,
[well technically it was the lady at the post office]
she put it in one of the bags
Bright in early next morning [although hopefully later that day]
the parcel should have been on its way.

I had it addressed correctly
with the right address and zone
So can only hope that as a guest of New Zealand Post
it finds its way to its new home ...

ROFLMAO ...

Mother Nature

has forgotten that it is Summer here in the deep south.

Someone has obviously p'd her off ... big time and some - lol.

This afternoon the heavens opened and I mean, truly opened.

It was amazing.

The sky was damn near black people ... I kid you not.

This could be something new to you all ... something you don't know about me ... I hate thunder and lightening.

I was in the cafeteria at work and trust me on this one, I didn't cope very well.

In fact, to be honest, I was scared shitless ... how's that for honesty!

I was reading a soppy book and just couldn't concentrate with all that racket and then ... boy-oh-boy ... she went for broke!!!

The hail storm that we had was flippin A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. - it went on and on and on ... just like those Eveready batteries do ... they keep going and going and going - well according to the ads that they used to run on the TV they do ... lol.

It was like nothing that I've experienced before ...

Now you can sort of expect a little shitty weather in the middle of Winter ... but just in case you don't know ... it's supposed to be Summer!

I rest my case.

It's gone ...

yep, that wee handmade box was filled to the brim, tied with ribbon, packed in a bigger box and is now a guest of New Zealand Post ...

It's gone ... kaput, no longer at my house and it is heading to live at ...

nope --- not telling ... it's gonna be a surprise!!!

I know where the lucky winner lives ... well actually, that's not quite 100% true; can't say that I've been to her house, but I know her address ... lol.

Hope that New Zealand Post treats their guest well.

And if the lucky person can flick me a note at some stage so that I know that 'the parcel' has arrived safe and sound, well that would be wonderful.

Enjoy ... and I feel sure that you will.

Okay ... need a little more help ...

and it's not scrapping related.

I need some advice, your thoughts, or something ... talk to me.

We have a window in our wardrobe - absolutely rivetting information really - not!!!

But the amount of sunlight that comes through that window, even though it is frosted-type glass is incredible ... not that I knew that until DH kinda pointed it out to me ...

Now why on earth would DH want to point that out to me you might be thinking ... cos it has completely, utterly and entirely faded the back of one of his shirts --- gulp!!!

Uh - oh !!!

What should I do ... okay ... the obvious ... I threw out the shirt okay ... you can all stop laughing now.

I'm talking about the window ... lol.

Anyone else had a similar problem ... what did you do about it?
Let me know.

Hi ho ... Hi ho ...

it's off to work I go ...

tomorrow ...

I've really enjoyed the last couple of weeks off work ... finished work on Christmas Eve day and I head back to the office tomorrow.

A little eating and drinking ... crikey ... who am I kidding ... that would be a whole lot of eating and drinking - lol.

A whole lot of housework - some of those pesky household chores that don't get done as often as they perhaps should ... will get DH to take down the rest of the blinds this weekend for me to clean ... get the picture. Those sorts of pesky household chores.

And a whole lot of creativity ... not that I can share a whole lot of that creativity at the moment.

Well I can and will after the next newsletter is released by Country Papercraft ... if you are looking for a little inspiration and if you are looking for a whole lot more than a little inspiration ... whip into forum for a look, while you are there, check out the CPC blog and sign up for their newsletter as well ... a new start to 2010 ... new scrapping challenges ... go for it!!!

Get those creative juices flowing again.

I was offered a guest designer role for three months and I've been having a ball to be honest ... thinking outside the square, being creative ... it's got to be good for me. Yep ... it is !!!

Right then, had better get my A into G. Need to head into town, get some pics printed and do another few jobs as well.

Will need to wrap up warm by the looks of it ... rain rain go away, come again another day ... next month would be good. I'm over the rain and the wind ... the winds have been driving me batty. It's not nice out ... would rather be tucked away in my scrap room ... lol ... funny that!

Enjoy your day people.

Happy New Year

2010 has rolled around and the last few years have gone ... kaput ... just like that.

Time stands still for no one, that's for real!

Last night I was thinking to myself, must put together a collage of my favourite layouts for 2009 ... so here they are.

Enjoy the first day of the New Year everyone ... in fact the first day of a new decade.

Hi there and welcome back. Yep, I'm on a roll. I realised that I hadn't shared this layout - another one ... White, green and orang...
