Stubborn is her middle name

I am not going to lie, Danielle and I have had a few rough weeks. We starting potty training a few weeks ago. This little girl has massive holding skills. She would not go on the potty. I tried it all, panties all day with lots of fluid, every ten minutes on the potty, singing, reading dancing in the bathroom while she sat there, ran water, put her feet in warm water. NOTHING worked, except one thing. After 6 days of no luck my patience ran out. I finally put her on the potty and said you cannot move til you go. I then put her favorite movie on the portable DVD player and walked away. It took half of the movie before she couldn't hold it anymore. Even though we had a couple of small successes, my patience ran out. So maybe we shall try again in a few weeks.

Besides that here are a few fun and new things she is doing:
  • She still loves her baby. She has to go everywhere with us, but she had to stay in the car.
  • She also loves to dance like Lexi. She got a dancing wand for Christmas and she and Lexi fight over it all of the time.

  • She loves chocolate milk and cheesesticks.
  • One day I saw her playing picnic with her baby. It is fun to see her start doing imaginary play.

  • She loves gum. She sneaks it all of the time. I told her she can't have it unless she goes potty but she can't keep her hands out of my purse.
  • All she wants to do is watch movies all day. Don't worry I don't let her, but she is very persistent. Her favorites are Tangled and 101 Dalmations
  • Recently everything is "I do it"
  • All day long I hear, "Mom, what you doing?"
  • She is now in a big girl bed. But part of the problem with that is she hasn't been sleeping that great. She comes into our room anywhere from 4-5am and to wake you up, she will come and honk your nose. Trust me, it is not that fun getting woken up that way. Honking noses is like her ice breaker. If there is a silent moment or she is just looking at you she will give her a nice big honk.
  • Danielle loves to give funny faces and she gives great kisses.
  • She loves her Daddy. She cries for him all day long and always asks where he is. Which right now is either work or soccer. One day she was throwing a fit and wouldn't get out of her car seat until she called daddy. Stinker!
  • She is a hitter. She hits Lexi all the time, who then just cries. Then Danielle when come tell me Lexi hit her, which I know is a lie. One day she got mad at me and as my back was turned she came and spanked me. It was funny but I knew she was doing it because she was mad.
  • She loves balloons. She got one for Valentine's day from her nursery leader and she carried it around for 3 days straight.
  • She has long beautiful curly hair!
  • She is very random. You just never really know what exactly she is going to do.

Miss Danielle, you can always make me laugh. We do spend a lot of days going back and forth right now but at the end of the day, when you give me 15 kisses before bed all the bad moments just melts away.

The girl with style

Now look at this girl and tell me she doesn't have style!

Oh yes that is an Ariel dress, with her dress coat, a beaded necklace and an owl hat!

Here a few fun things that this girl has been doing lately.

  • She love to dance. She loves it when I put Pandora on and she will dance her little heart out. This picture always makes want to sing, "to the window, to the wall" :)

  • She is still loving school. They went on her first field trip to Yokes. They got to go in the bakery and watch the lady decorate a cake, scan food at the checkout line, and go upstairs and get a sucker.
  • She got a new haircut. I have been meaning to get it cut for awhile, but then one day I noticed she got gum in her hair so that made it easy. It wasn't bad and I could of gotten in out but she needed a new do anyways. I actually really love her short hair. She also loves that we don't have to put any ponies in it.
  • She is looking forward to her birthday party soon. After tons of awesome ideas that I had she insisted on a littlest pet shop party. So I guess that is what is shall be
  • Johnny and Lexi built a leprechaun trap. She was asking me all week if we caught one. On St Patty's day we didn't catch one, but he left her a note saying it was the best trap he had ever seen, but it wasn't good enough. He left her with some pink gold, because it was better than gold gold, (it may have been all that mommy could find on short notice). :)

  • Lexi keeps telling me that I need to stop taking all the mail, because we have to let others have some. Anyone want my credit card bill? I will gladly let you have that one.
  • She told me that I am X-rated. Not really sure if she knows what that means or what she considers X-rated to be
  • She is often heard saying, "you got dominated"
  • This is a little message her preschool teacher sent me, "A fun little quote by a sweet girl today...."Miss Molly, guess what! I'm going to marry Sunshine Bear!" me, "You are? How come?" "Because he's always happy and he's nice.....and he loves waffles!"
  • Speaking of waffles, she will eat 2 Eggo waffles every single morning. She comes into my room every day and asks me to make her some waffles.
  • She is a great helper. She helped me clean the baseboards downstairs and swept the floor. She also play nicely in the mornings with Danielle
  • She loves to play her video game that she got for Christmas.
  • She told me that she is a big girl because she can: brush her own hair, turn on the video game, go potty and get dressed by herself.
  • She loves to sing to Adele. Rumor has it is her favorite.

My sweet Lexi girl, I can't believe that you are almost 5. I love you more everyday and I am so proud of the good girl that you are. I love talking to you every morning and all the hugs and kisses you give.

Disneylnad # 6 and 7

Before our last day at Disneyland we enjoyed a yummy breakfast.

Behind Johnny was he favorite ride, Tower of Terror. For me that is exactly what it was. I HATE free falls. It is the only kind of ride that makes me want to pee my pants.

Danielle and Lexi loved their autograph books. I had to get the autographs for Lexi but Danielle caught on and was brave enough to hand them her book. Lexi only wanted "girls" to sign her book. Which for me meant characters that didn't have masks on.

In Pixie Hollow before we met Tinkerbell, we met Slivermist. She was awesome because she tricked Lexi into getting a picture with her. She walked up to Lexi when she wasn't looking and turned her toward us so we could get some shots. They are trained well.

These Asian women were taking pictures of my girls. I thought they we loving Lexi's painted face but then she wanted to take a picture with them. I thought it was pretty funny. Debbi told me that would happen all the time when they lived in Hawaii with Johnny, because they don't see too many blond kids in Japan. :)

We ended they day with the parade. The girls loved all the dancing and music. It was a perfect way to say goodbye to our favorite friends.

On our last day we did a little shopping and spent a few hours at the beach.

Danielle would freak out that she couldn't get the sand off of her hands. I know she gets that from me.

It was a great trip. We had a blast going with Grandma and Grandpa. They were such a big help with the girls and we made some fun memories together. Hopefully we will be able to do this again soon.

Disneyland # 4 and 5

After Christmas is when we made a last minute decision to go to Disneyland. I told Lexi and I thought that she would have no idea what I was talking about, but once again she surprised me. She was so excited that I was almost regretting telling her. The smile on these cute little faces was worth the wait!

We had three days at Disneyland so the first day was mostly spent in California Land. The first character we saw was Mickey. Lexi wanted nothing to do with any of the characters at all. Danielle was leery but at least she wasn't crying when I made her take a picture with me.

The girl's favorite ride was the Merry-Go-Round. I think they rode it about 10 times throughout the trip.

One of my favorite rides was the Toy Story one. You have a shooting competition with the person sitting with you. Lexi loved it too. It was more like a video game than a ride to her, so when we were done she wanted to know where her prize was. So I bought her a trading pin and she seemed pleased with that.

I think this will be our Christmas card next year. You can't see it, but Danielle is picking her nose. Classic!

The girls had a duck race in the creek

After a few characters, Danielle was a little more warmed up. She ran right over to the cars, stood in the middle and said "cheese". Lexi on the other hand still wouldn't budge.

In Bug Land, we attempted to take the girls to another 4D show, but we only lasted about 20 seconds in and we had to leave because both girls were screaming. But they did however like the spray area.

I just love this one of Grandma Debbi!

If you can't tell by her face, Lexi loved the teacups. It was probably her favorite. Danielle liked to turn it to make it go faster, but Lexi didn't want any part of that.

One of the most exciting things for the girls was that we rode on the bus to and from the hotel.

Only children of John Trevino would fully understand the meaning behind this picture! :)

After our first full day at Disneyland we went to the World of Color show. This is probably the most amazing show ever. The girls loved it too and it was well worth the long wait. Danielle was so tuckered out after the show that she was falling asleep on Debbi's shoulders.

The next day was rainy in the morning for about an hour. It was cooler that day but it didn't stop us from having a blast.

One thing we were told we had to do was eat a Monte Cristo sandwich at the Blue Bayou. Probably one of the coolest restaurants ever. It is actually in the pirates of the Caribbean ride. It is like you are eating in a swamp. And the food was amazing also, but next time I will have to share a plate because they give you tons of food.

Who needs entertainment when Danielle is around? She would randomly start dancing around in the street. This time she went on forever and people we stopping to watch her.

Here is my proud mommy moment: Johnny, John and I were going to go get in line for splash mountain while Debbi watched the girls. Then Lexi insisted on coming with us. I told her I thought it was too big for her, but she still wanted to go. So I told her we would measure her to make sure she was tall enough and believe it or not she was. I was so nervous for her. We even showed her the drop and she still said she wanted to go. She made it through the whole thing and said it was fun but didn't want to do it again. Debbi even got our picture. Lexi is in pink in the 3rd spot, which you can barely see.

The park closed early the second day we were there, which was almost a blessing because we were all pretty tired after 4 long days in a row. We all passed out early to get ready for our last day at the happiest place on earth.
