Lots of catching up to do!!

Catch up.

9.9.15
Reese had 2 cavities! She loves the happy gas, but hates the shots.
Sage had 0. Reese was not impressed. I told her if she quits sneaking candy to bed, maybe next time she won't have cavities.

9.12.15
My very cute, but annoying work out buddy. She'll lay right next to me if I'm doing any sort of work out on the floor!

9.12.15
We went to dinner with Aust and Rach. While we were waiting for a table, the kids all drove around these little animal machines. They were a blast!

I wanted a turn and didn't want to give it back.

After dinner we went home to watch the BYU game. Both Cam and Reese were out. Reese loves to snuggle with Cam.

9.13.15
We went boating up to Jordanelle.  It was Regional Conference, so we counted that as a free day :) The water was chilly. We are definitely running out of boating days, so we have to take advantage when we can.

Cam and Reese surfing. I love that the girls will try to surf!

9.16.15
Gymnastics.
The girls are loving gymnastics. Sage does just tumbling and Reese does more of the bars, beams and a little tumbling.

Cam was in Veags this whole week. We get a little bored when he's gone, so we find things to entertain us.
We made strawberry jam. I'm always so shocked at how much sugar goes into freezer jam. Oh well, it tastes delicious!!

9.18.15
Ladies golf day.
We went to East Bay to golf after we dropped the kids off at school. Reese has afternoon kindergarten, so she came with us. It was a little cold, but warmed up as the morning went on.

9.19.15
Nikki and I rode our bikes up Provo Canyon/South Fork Canyon.
It is beautiful right now. The colors of fall are amazing.
The ride was soooooo hard, but worth it!
I hadn't been on my bike in a while. I really need to get out on it more.

9.22.15
Reese was out "jeeping" before school. She got really excited when her back tire was off the ground. She said, "dad would think this is cool!"  Yes he would.

9.24.15
We ended up having the day off on Thursday. Thank you "hunting season".  So we took the kids to school, Reese to the sitters and we went and golfed 18. It was great.  And a gorgeous day.

I went for a run that eveing. The sunset was so pretty!! My run was super hard. I had lead feet, so this made it a little bit worth it!

Cam came home Friday eveing from Lake Powell. We were so glad to have him back. 2 weeks was too long!!

9.26.15
Cam golfed most the day.  We had a very relaxing Saturday, which doesn't happen very often. The girls played outside with friends all day, I watched the Cougars get smoked, we did a few chores.

That night was the Women's Broadcast before Conference. I wanted to take Sage, but knew that it's kind of a long time and she's still young. So, luckily they broadcast it live on lds.org so the girls and I watched it while we did mani's and pedi's. It was fun. Elder Uchtdorf's talk was really good. He talked about being happy in the now. I couldn't agree more.

9.27.15
Since Reese finally pierced her ears, she wanted her dolls done. Cam pierced them before church. I went out to see how it was going and walked in on this:  full blown doll surgery.
It was so cute. Such a good dad to these girls!!
I'm glad he's home. They get sick of just hanging out with mom!

A lot of catch up. Summer is ending fast. The leaves are starting to change and there is definitely a crisp, cooler feeling in the air in the mornings. I love fall and winter (bring on skiing), but this summer has rocked!

Labor Day Starvation trip

9.4-9.7

One last hurrah for summer! Our annual Labor Day camping/boating trip.
We've been doing this for years. We added a few new friends, but the originals are all still here.

Friday night the girls feel asleep fast. They were super tired.

Breakfast the next morning. We all do breakfast together. I'm thankful for these friends. We've been friends since before we were all married. We've been through good times and bad times. Lots of ups and downs. We've always had each other's backs.

Surfs up!  It was soooooo cold. Like you get in the water and freeze your ass off. Surf. Then get back in the boat and put on your sweats and sweatshirt.
I kept wondering if it is worth it. When it comes to surfing, it always is.

Playing around.

Reese wore her skeleton jammies of course, then wanted her picture taken with the Halloween Oreos.

Teaching Belle to skateboard.  :)

More surf time!

My main man! Always.

The drive home was awful. We were stuck in traffic for hours. :(

There was a huge fire at Deer Creek reservoir. Crazy!

It was a great weekend!! I'm a fall/winter fan.  The leaves are changing like crazy in the canyons. I got really excited seeing the fall colors. Then I realized summer is ending. I'm a little sad. I'll miss it!

Reese the Kindergartner!

First day of Kindergarten for Reese!
Reese missed the first week of school due to Lake Powell. She was so excited to start!
I remember taking Sage and not wanting her to go, I may have even gotten "misty eyed"!
I wasn't even sad sending Reese. It's not because she drives me crazy, I actually absolutely love hanging out with her. She's a crack up. She's just ready to go. She loves playing with other kids and being social. I'm glad she was ready to go.

Riding the bus to school.

I still followed the bus to the school :)
The have all the kids line up before walking in. She was the smallest one in the line. Not that I'm surprised!!

She's loving school. She's made a new best friend, Boston. Everyday a she has a new story about him. It's super cute!

On a side note, Sage picks up Reese from class every day. I love watching them walk out together. Sometimes I wonder how we got to this point? My two babes walking out of school together. A part of me wants to go back a few years, the other part of me loves where we are at!  They are for sure my favorites!!

Lake Powell

8.24-8.29

Oh Lake Powell. My favorite vacation of the summer.
We went to Powell with the Poelman's again this year! I love them. Such great people.
We left Monday morning.

Macy rode with us.

Monday we got everything ready to go. We stayed at the Marina Monday night. We just hung out, went to dinner and played games.

This was probably our second trip to get icecream at the little store.

We left Tuesday morning to find out spot for the week. It was a little cloudy that day, no rain though. Wednesday was a lite cooler and off/on rain.  We played lots of games that day, and ate lots of food. The rest of the week was hot!! The water was 75°! It was perfect!

I lost track of the days there and hardly had my phone out. No service which I love. Grandpa Jay took lots of pictures. There will be another post when I get those!
But for now, here's what our week consisted of....

Endless "King of the Hill" on the Tow Boggin'. This giant foam mat was a blast. It was hooked to the house boat and the kids played forever on it! We would hook it up to a wave runner and it would pull us around. People would fly off like crazy. I have never laughed so hard and never had so many bruises all at once!

iPods came out a few times, when the sun was just too much or if it was raining.

Ha! Tag decided to just pee on the rock!  Reese was not impressed. I was dying.

Lizard catching.

Marbles. Not the marbles we're used too, but still fun.

More Tow Boggin'

Lucy and Reese. Courtnee bought all the girls matching swimsuits. I packed one for each day and they all wore this one the whole time. So cute.

The generator randomly turned off a coue times. Leave it to Cam to get it fixed!

Our daily view. I will never get sick of this!

I heart Lake Powell!

Boat rides.  Of course Reese falls asleep. Every time.

We surfed all day, everyday.  The wave, the water, the view. It was perfect.

Paddle board yoga and handstands.

Lucy wanted to wear the big kids goggles all day.

Can on the hoverboard. This thing is danger danger!! But cool when you got it figured out. Can was pretty good!

Reese and Jack spent hours on this thing. They'd bounce each other off with their tubes.

This is the last day. We were loading up cars to come home. No one wanted to leave.

Courtnee and Ryan had the girls fly home with them on their Jet. They didn't want them to have to drive all the way home. The girls were so excited.  They were home like 6 hours ahead of us.
We had all their clothes. Courtnee broke out the Halloween jammies she bought for the girls. They glow in the dark and all the girls have matching ones. Reese won't sleep in anything else.
The Poelman's spoil the girls. We're thankful for good friends!

Our week was so fun. I could have stayed for another one.
Each morning we all ate breakfast together and had a devotional. It was great to be with good friends who feel like family. We're blessed to have them in our lives. They know what's important in life... It's not how much money you have or what you do or who you know... It's all about family and making memories with loved ones.

And that's what we did all week long.
