big project

i've been working on this diaper bag for a few weeks now.
yes a few weeks, i only work on it after 8p.m.
...in that time i have learned so much sewing terminology.
darting, machine basting, pleating, seam allowances, the list goes on.
i have only sewn from a pattern one other time.
and the difficulty level is a 4...i think out of 5. yikes!

i am making it for eddie's cousin who is due in december, with a girl.

i have been wanting to make it for a long time but didn't have a reason.
i knew she wouldn't judge or laugh if it came out horrible.
so i figured she was the perfect person.

last night i finally finished the lining.
yeah, just the lining and now i am super nervous.
the lining turned out perfect but now i am nervous for the exterior.
cause people actually see that part.

oh and it's huge!!
the good thing is...the pockets are huge.

the pattern also comes with a changing pad.
i'm saving the easiest part for last.

i will post a finished picture once alicia gets it.
so there can be some surprise for her.

on a side note:
emi's 6 month appt. got rescheduled. boo!
guess the dr. says she has to be 6 months to get her vaccinations.
anyone who cares will have to wait until tuesday for her stat update.
