on friday while emi was watching sesame street
i overheard they were going to have free admission
to this cute little place called fairytale town.
i thought, hey! we should go, it might be a mad house
but then we can at least see if it's worth paying to go there
when it isn't free admission.
little did i know it only cost $4 for regular admission.
so on saturday morning we got ready
emi insisted on finding her camera since i was getting my ready to go
she was even nice enough to take a picture of me :)
this is the actual entrance, parents have to duck to get in.
as you can see the lady below walking in with her kids.
cute miss emi
emi super excited to enter into the king's castle
emi and eddie sitting in the royal seats.
they had this neat pirate ship.
emi was able to climb up mother goose
wrong outfit! a skirt and sandals weren't the best.
emi had fun poking her head through each wizard of oz character.
i can't get over how tall she is getting.
a whole yard tall! no wonder her blanket is too short for her.
she was able to color a cool bookmark.
she colored for a good ten minutes.
she's very meticulous when it comes to markers.
they have to be all lined up. she opens it, puts the lid on the other side.
closes it, and puts it away before she moves onto another color.
she enjoyed peter pan's playground.
mental note, no skirts when playing on a playground.
she is ready for disneyland, putting her hands in the air.
she loved this little maze.
i think it was her favorite thing.
even over the farm animals.
as we were exiting the library had set up a table to sale books.
the table outside fairytale town were selling $1 a book!
i think it was some sort of book festival
because the day before our library had a sale
where i got all these books for under $7
the most expensive was 25 cents.
so i got a super duper good deal.
this is actually how i have been buying emi's books lately.
when the library has a sale, and it is seriously like black friday.
i show up 1/2 hour early just to get in line.
after fairytale town we headed out for some ice cream
emi enjoyed some bubble gum ice cream
and got lots of bubble gums for just a kiddie scoop.
she would get excited when she would see a new bubble gum
my mom says the zoo here is lame.
but this fairytale town has teamed up with the zoo
as far as memberships go...
so maybe in the spring we'll get a membership.
now if only i can find out when the zoo is having free admission
then i can find out for myself if it's worth it.
