We did it!!! A few days before school started, dad surprised us and spent the day with us. We took a family hike to Bear Mountain, which happens to be the tallest peak in Connecticut at 2316 feet. It was 5-6 mile hike round-trip. But you mix in the sun, humidity, and some straight up hills, it was quite the work-out. I was so amazed as Miss Piper ran majority of the way up! Here we are at the top!

Stopping for our picnic lunch at the "T"- left to take the Appilation Trail or right for Bear Mountain.

Miss P with some rosy cheeks! Her energy amazes me!

Big H loving all the ponds we passed and fun things to see growing in them.

Baby G got all plumb tuckered out! Thanks daddy for carrying me so carefully down the mountain.

Thanks Brandon, for pushing our endurance, seeing beautiful scenery, and spending a fun family day together!
