Rainy Day and Family Day Fun

Since we have been getting rainy weather from the hurricanes, we have had a few indoor days, so what's a family to do? Make Longboards with their dad! Miss P poses with the final products!
Both H and P designed, colored, and helped in any way in making their very own longboards! They both turned out fab! Thanks dad for a fun activity and sharing your master wood working skills with us!
They even got to go try them out tonight for their first pavement ride!

Back To School, Already?!

Yes, we had a short and sweet summer of 2 months, now we are back to a schedule, early mornings, and homework again! Here is Big H before heading for the bus! Cool guitar shirt- check, skinny jeans- check, messenger bag- check, new scoots-check, fauxhawk- check! Yep, he was set! Can't believe he is in 3rd grade this year! Here's to cursive writing.
Miss P rearing to go, she is in 2nd grade and got the same teacher Big H had last year! She was uber excited to find some skinnies for herself too!
Here's to another great year of learning, growing, and exploring!

Bear Mountain

We did it!!! A few days before school started, dad surprised us and spent the day with us. We took a family hike to Bear Mountain, which happens to be the tallest peak in Connecticut at 2316 feet. It was 5-6 mile hike round-trip. But you mix in the sun, humidity, and some straight up hills, it was quite the work-out. I was so amazed as Miss Piper ran majority of the way up! Here we are at the top!
Stopping for our picnic lunch at the "T"- left to take the Appilation Trail or right for Bear Mountain.

Baby G got all plumb tuckered out! Thanks daddy for carrying me so carefully down the mountain.

Of course we all get a kick out of anything that Baby G does, so we were all there to help him out if needed!

Surprise from Miss P!

Yep, today Miss P did this!
She was quite brave, thought about doing it over lunch and that was that! Off to the jewelry store we went with no looking back!
The sweetest thing said as we were getting out of the car came from Big H, "I can;t believe my little girl is growing up!" It was too sweet and hearing it from H, I also had to giggle a little! That should of been coming from me!
Even a costumer in the store mentioned how brave Miss P was. No tears. or loud yelps! She is proud as she can be!
Thanks Brandon for not being mad at me. I know we were waiting to make it s special thing, like when she turned 8. Even Miss P said she was going to wait till she was 15, but I think it was her brothers pestering that got to her or the sparkle in her eye! She was ready and set! This is a fun new adventure for you! Now it will be fun to shop for earrings for you and what fun gifts you can get for birthdays!

I love birthdays! What a fun special day it is! Here is Baby G with his new Mickey Mouse ride-on toy!
Dad rocks at cake decorating and produced the Elmo cake for a 2nd time! (Big H had this at his 1st birthday too!) Gotta love that Elmo!
