A Family That Hikes Together, Stays Together!

Our family really enjoys hiking as a hobby. We went to Indian Caves. Not that their are real caves there, but for some reason, it's the name. It's mostly a bunch of big rocks all together.
H posed by himself for this picture! Loving that they like to get their photos taken!
MIss P being the Diva that she is!!!
This is how daddy hikes in style! One tyke on the front and one of the back! You Go Brandon!
We even found another stacked statue of rocks. We love those things!

*So what's a favorite hobby of your family?*

Our Turkey Day!

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving this year with some great friends- our "Hosts with the Most" were Amy and Steven and their kiddos! We had such a fun time with yummy food to boot! Thank you for opening your house to us and sharing this great day with us too! We truly have so much to be thankful for this year! My most thanks would be to my own little family, to my friends here on the east, all my family and friends in the west! Also my God above for blessing me with so much!
Someone decided to have their own Thanksgiving on our porch!
I did find the culprit too! He had gotten so much that his little face was covered in orange!
Had to get a picture of Baby G's 1st Thanksgiving! My friend, Emily (thanks!) is letting me borrow her floor gym for the baby and he is loving it! It has a mirror on it so he likes to talk to himself and laugh!
Hope you all enjoyed your Thanksgiving Holiday too!

BOLT!

H and I had a little afternoon date when he got out of school today, since dad wanted to stay home and relax with the babe and Miss P wanted to soak in the bath. WE enjoyed ourselves with a movie and popcorn and saw Bolt! I thought it was a cute movie, I do enjoy most kid flicks. Fun to hear the voices of Miley Cirus and John Travolta. The hamster was too funny as well! Guess it made me miss this...
my own dog- Mudslide! Gotta love dogs!
Thanks H for a fun afternoon out, just the 2 of us! I love you!

Sunday Post

Our sacrament meeting was on Gratitude. We again had some great speakers. One of the speakers happens to be a dentist and he brought up that after having a good patient, he lets them choose out a little prize. He told of how many times he hears the parents say, what do we say??? Meaning for the child young or in their teenage years to say Thanks. Isn't it true how much we say that ourselves to our own children and also heard when we were young. Just the basic please and thank you's to show our gratitude for things in life and sometimes it gets missed. IT was a great reminder.
Well, I know you have all been waiting to hear what my new calling is.... so wait for it....
It has to do with a hymn book and my arm????
Yes, that is right, I am the Relief Society chorister. I will also be sharing a music appreciation message once a month. Now I have to get crack-a-lack-in and learn how to lead music! Guess they didn't know I don't know how to do that, just yet!!!
So wish me luck!!!

Guess Who's into Fingers and Drool?

This little man! He Loves to put any and all that will fit into his mouth and suck away! I keep socks on his hands at night cause when he sucks its a little on the noisey side. But maybe he will turn into a finger or thumb sucker. I used to be a finger sucker myself when I was a wee lad!
Just had to get a pix of these 2 together! They are too cute and look ready for St. Patrick's Day a little early!

Twilight Rocked!

Hope everyone ran out and saw Twilight this weekend! It did not disappoint! And can't wait for the next one! I may be having to read the books again!
Here is my besty- Amy and I at the theater waiting to go in. I think we might have been the oldest people there to see the show! We ate a quick bite at Cosi (yummy) before, then off to fight the line to get good seats.
A huge Thank-You and xxx'x & ooo's goes out to my hubby for standing in line at his lunch time with a bunch of cackling girls to get us tickets. Also for being so kind as watching all 3 tykes while I enjoyed a much needed GNO!
Thanks Amy, we will have to do it again!!

We Are Talking 4 Months Here Folks!

Wow! Again I am amazed at how fast time flies!! Baby G is 4 months old now! Oh where does the time go? He is such a happy little guy, most of the time. We love to see him smile- it's contagious too!
So while taking his photo, Baby G decided it was time to discover his feet! I had both tykes behind me trying to get him to smile, but no way, I got these awesome things at the end of me to check out!
We love you so!

Sunday Post- I'm Out

Today is full of mixed feelings for me as I have been released from being the Primary President (over all kids 18mos-12yrs) in our ward (congregation). I have served in the Primary for 5 years! I didn't really know what to do with myself. It's such a natural thing for me to go straight to the primary room after sacrament meeting, but that is where I no longer belong. I will now get to go to BIG People classes. Which I am excited about to get a different view in learning- on a different level than the kid level, but oh how I will miss the wonder people I worked with in the primary- all of them. We all worked so well together and I surely enjoyed making friends with you all. I will truly miss the kids as well! They taught me soooo much! They are such sweet spirits and I was glad I got to be a help in teaching them the gospel. I know they are all in good hands. It has been such a great blessing and learning experience for me being in the Primary, I have had such great callings there. Like my husband said, I know it will be an adjustment, but it will be good, you are needed elsewhere now.
What a great feeling to have so many people come up to me at church and tell what a great job I did with the kids. Thanks for putting a smile on my face! I love you all!
It also hit me on the way home from church while I was chatting with my tykes, that I have basically been in Primary the whole time that they have both been in there!!! Now that will be weird!
I will admit, I am not getting much of a break, the Bishop has already extended a new calling to me! But I am happy to help and ready to give something new a chance.

Hope you all had a great Sunday too, although it is getting mighty chilly here!!!

Madagascar 2!

Since the tykes had the day off of school in Honor of Veterans Day- (which I would like to give a shout out to all the men and woman who have and do serve our country so well- we thank, love and pray for you all!), we went to see this and Loved it!!!
This is Miss P and my favorite character! How can you not love a hippo, as I do!!! Gloria just plan rox! We love it when Moto-Moto gives her cutie eyes from the pool!
So of course, run out to see this with your tykes if you have not done so!

What Do You Think?

Lefty or a Righty???
I think he may be a...
LEFTY!!! Baby G has been noticing his hands more and that they are a part of him. When I go to get him from the pack-n-play or the floor, I find him with his LEFT arm in the air and him staring or analyzing it! Too adorable if you ask me! And it will be great to have another "South Paw" in the fam besides me!

Sunday Post

Our theme for our church program with the children this year was "I am a Child of God." I just loved the simplicity of it. And it's true that we are all children of God.
Our primary program was today and it went well, except for my talk, which I printed the night before and our printer was running out of ink, so it didn't print to well and I had a hard time trying to read it! The kids all sang so well and all said their parts with no hesitation. We got lots of compliments afterwards too! Now I can breathe a little easier knowing it is done for the year!
Here's a SHOUT-OUT to the whole primary- my presidency, teachers, musical help, and kids for such a great program! You all ROCK!!!
A special Thanks to Karen for writing such an awesome program too!

Sisterly Love

This was too cute to pass up! Miss P giving her love to her lil'bro and he was loven' it too!
Say Cheese Please!
Miss P you are going to be a great babysitter and mom one day! Glad I could help in the process of it. I know Baby G loves you so much too!

What we did Today...

We VOTED!And I'm proud to be and American,
where at least I know I'm free.
And I wont forget the men who died,
who gave that right to me.

And I gladly stand up,
next to you and defend her still today.
'Cause there ain't no doubt I love this land,
God bless the USA.

Had to get a pic of the G-Man in his cute brown striped outfit! I have been waiting for him to fit into this! I am loving brown lately- on anyone!
And this is what happens when you tell your tykes to play upstairs quietly while you feed the baby downstairs...
They throw their sticky monster face parts on the ceiling!

Hope you got out to vote today!!!

*Do your tykes do things like this while you are busy with something else?*
