Today is full of mixed feelings for me as I have been released from being the Primary President (over all kids 18mos-12yrs) in our ward (congregation). I have served in the Primary for 5 years! I didn't really know what to do with myself. It's such a natural thing for me to go straight to the primary room after sacrament meeting, but that is where I no longer belong. I will now get to go to BIG People classes. Which I am excited about to get a different view in learning- on a different level than the kid level, but oh how I will miss the wonder people I worked with in the primary- all of them. We all worked so well together and I surely enjoyed making friends with you all. I will truly miss the kids as well! They taught me soooo much! They are such sweet spirits and I was glad I got to be a help in teaching them the gospel. I know they are all in good hands. It has been such a great blessing and learning experience for me being in the Primary, I have had such great callings there. Like my husband said, I know it will be an adjustment, but it will be good, you are needed elsewhere now.
What a great feeling to have so many people come up to me at church and tell what a great job I did with the kids. Thanks for putting a smile on my face! I love you all!
It also hit me on the way home from church while I was chatting with my tykes, that I have basically been in Primary the whole time that they have both been in there!!! Now that will be weird!
I will admit, I am not getting much of a break, the Bishop has already extended a new calling to me! But I am happy to help and ready to give something new a chance.
Hope you all had a great Sunday too, although it is getting mighty chilly here!!!
