A day in the life......

It's February......almost March.....thank heavens!! I feel like I have a good case of the winter blahs lately. My motivation is gone......I've been looking for it.....just having a hard time finding it. Can you relate?? I'm trying to clean out the house......declutter where and what I can.....I don't feel like I'm getting anywhere yet. I got rid of all my baby girl clothes yesterday from 0-12 months.....kinda was sad......but awesome because my twin nieces will be sporting all of them so I'll get to see them being loved. I warned Keah that I might have to play dress up with them. In the process it emptied 2 rubbermaid totes for me to fill up with stuff for Georgia and Cooper to grow into. The totes will go back under the stairs......the bedroom closets a little more empty. I'm putting my boy stuff on Kijiji, hoping to clear it out too......then I might feel like I'm getting somewhere with the battle.

So back to yesterday.....I was doing laundry and folding alot of it (like I'm doing right now...at 6:58 am) I thought I'd fold it on my bed and when I walked in the room Georgia was having a snack......not something healthy but a HUGE stack of peppermint patties that Jeff's mom had sent home for the kids......she found them, unwrapped them all and carried them to my room. She was pretty proud of this......

I then look over to see this turkey playing in his crib. Goofing around, taking off his clothes. It's his new thing.....if you don't pay attention he starts stripping.....yesterday it was his pants.....the other day it was his shirt......after he was done eating. What a guy!!

After this fun it's on to bath time. Anyone who knows Georgia knows that she LOVES the tub. It's her own personal playground inside. If Jeff comes home from the gym or work and mentions the word shower she will be naked with 2 towels in her hand waiting......and then you might be lucky to get a drop of water.....she's a huge shower hog. I thought I'd never have to share a shower with her as I like it really HOT.......doesn't matter.....the hotter the better. What a girl!!!

Bath time had ended.....we had survived lunch hour with all the kids at home. I had been taking care of some dishes in the kitchen.....she of course wants to help and in the process finds a paint brush. It looks like more fun then dishes......

It was a fun day......minus the fact the Georgia tried to cut her hair.....with scrapbooking scissors.....so happy they didn't work for her. Glad she never located another pair. We baked some cookies.....I took some pictures.....a post with recipe to come.....they barely survived the night. Off to get kids up for school.....hopefully I'll get a nap at some point today.....I woke up at 5 am and haven't been able to sleep since.....and looking forward to going to the twins ultrasound today. Time is passing......can't wait till they are here. Hope you have a TERRIFIC Thursday.....

Snow Day=Fun Day

Happy Valentines Day......

For Valentines this year the budget was slim......which is fine....we don't usually spend money on each other for the event. I did think though that my sweetie would enjoy the kick off to NASCAR season with a few less kids which equals a little less noise. So my sweet parents took the oldest 4 last night for a sleepover and we haven't had them returned yet......they must be behaving :) We have had a relaxing day with our chunky monkey who has been napping for most of the afternoon. He's loving his first valentines. I'm off to eat some yummy pork pulled sandwiches....I'll have to post a picture.....Jeff made homemade hamburger buns for them. The breakfast we had this morning was super delish. Love having a husband who loves to cook. Hope that everyone has had a special Valentines Day......it's all about the LOVE.....L-O-V-E...

Sledding fun.....

The kids have been dying to get out sledding. Jessica was out a couple of weeks ago with some friends from school and that got the itch moving........and they haven't stopped asking since. We went out yesterday and got some crazy carpets and today went out looking for snow. We didn't think it would be so hard to find as lots is still on the ground.....just not lots on the hills. We went to 2 places before heading to Jeff's parents house. Jeff had to move the snow around a little so the kids could catch some speed but they had a blast. Georgia was having a rough day as she was a little over tired but she did have a few sleds before she was ready to call it quits. Cooper watched most of the excitement from the van as he doesn't have a snow suit that fits him and it was chilly. The winter coat just doesn't keep his lower half warm!!! By the time we headed home it was dark but hopefully all the fresh air will make for a good nights sleep........I'm sure they will want to go out again tomorrow......as much as I hate the snow the kids sure have fun in it!!!!

Dear Jann Arden......

You ROCK!!!! Tonight I went to my first concert EVER and it was AWESOME!!!! If you want to be guaranteed an awesome show filled with great music, laughs and even a slide show.....Jann Arden was the place to be. She was on stage for 2.5 hours and was FANTASTIC from start to finish. Not only can the woman sing but she was telling stories and jokes and carrying on all night. In the end she even cracked open some AC/DC and Van Halen for all the men that might have been "dragged" to the show.......mine was more then willing to come with me. He has some taste for good music. Sorry to say that I have no fantastic pictures. My camera is too "professional" and they weren't allowed in ( I didn't even take it). Jeff took his kayaking camera but it's better outside then in......I'll see if anything is presentable tomorrow when we download them. If I don't have a new point and shoot next concert I'll borrow Karen's cause we had an awesome view!!!! I just need another concert to come to town that I feel like spending my money on......I'm tight with my money.....you have to be with 5 kids......but trust me......she's worth every penny!!!!

So I'm off to bed........THANK YOU Jann for making my first concert experience AMAZING.....I won't miss you EVER when you come to town.....K

Getting excited.....

Tomorrow night Jeff and I are headed out on the town.....well maybe just to the Metro Centre but that's enough for me.....especially in this cold. We bought tickets a few months ago to go and see Jann Arden. She's hilarious so it should be a fun night!!

Not much else going on around here....Cooper and Georgia have had colds so that had made for some fun nights with Cooper. On top of it I think that 8th tooth is coming and it's taking it's good old time. On Sunday we had Jeff's parents over for supper to celebrate his Mom's birthday. We had roast pork and it was a new recipe that Jeff made and it was delicious!!!! Last night he made some coconut ice cream that is amazing!! I love it when he cooks!!!

It's hard to believe that February is here already.....the next few months are going to be super busy but lots of fun. We just about have everything taken care of for our trip in May.....it's going to be a blast. I'm busy routing out the couple of stores I don't want to miss as well. Hoping that everything is having a great February so far......it is the month of LOVE......hopefully the groundhog was right today and we only have 6 more weeks of this yucky cold weather left.......makes me want to stay in bed all day!!!
