Old school picture tonight.......

Nothing to exciting to catch you up on this week. Jeff was telling me that I needed to update my blog so I thought I would do it tonight while he is gone out and the kids are slowly fading one by one......okay maybe I mean just one kid has faded. The other 2 had naps today so I'm sure that they'll be keeping me company for awhile. We've had a busy week this week. Both Jake and Sarah had speech this week.....it was Sarah's first time and she was told that she won't need to come back. Jake is starting to say more words.....I'm sure one of these days it will be sentances and we'll want him to stop talking.

I have now hit the 27 week mark of pregnancy. It's hard to believe that I'll be 7 months along next week........I hope that the last 13 weeks go by as fast as these last ones. The baby is moving like crazy this week and in turn is sitting in places that make life uncomfortable for me. It's a good thing that the end result is totally worth it. The kids are getting more excited about a baby as am I. Honestly I'm just anxious to see what gender it is and how big this one will be. The doctor was nice and told me that if I have another boy I'll probably get another 11 lb'er.....that's always nice news to hear. Hopefully she's wrong in her size guesses.......but I doubt it.

My picture I'm posting tonight is an old school one that my aunt sent me awhile ago. It's of me and my cousin Suzie at some activity at church when we we younger. It's always fun to see pictures from back in the day to see what we looked liked then. She is living in Texas now and quite frankly in my opinion lives too far away. It's a good thing she has an awesome long distance plan so we can chat often. She will be home this summer for a visit and I am quite excited to see her and her family. Her son Sam is 3 months younger then Sarah and they enjoyed playing the last time they came home for a visit. Audrey is a year younger then Jacob but I'm sure they will have some fun together and from pictures I've seen I'm sure they'll even find some trouble. Summer really can't come fast enough......as you can tell I'm excited for her to come......plus she'll get to meet the new baby which will be a bonus......enjoy the pic!!

Wishing for somewhere warmer......

So we have all been down and out this week with a nice cold. Jessica missed two days of school and I finally sent her back today. I still sound and feel horrible as does Sarah. I haven't figured out if Jake is coming down with it or not. We are off to the doctor's tonight for the baby's checkup. The kids are pretty excited to hear the baby's heartbeat. Jessica was hoping tonight the baby was coming out.....not yet....she was a little disappointed to hear that one. Needless to say it should be a fun outing.......I'm not looking forward to going out in the cold. I'm kinda getting sick of the bitter cold. If spring could arrive a little faster I would be quite content. Until then I will just bask in the thought of how hot it was in Florida this summer......mind you I don't need that heat being pregnant. I would be happy with 10 above. Here's to wishing for some warmer weather to come.......

Under construction......

For anybody who has ever been to our house they know it is constantly under renovation. We have had a bathroom started in our basement for a few years now and occasionally is would get worked on. Lately it has become the "project" to finish in hopes that maybe it will help toliet train Jake before the new baby comes. It is going to be the most beautiful bathroom when it's all said and done. We have black slate on the floor and it will also be the baseboard.....mixed slate is going to be our tub/shower surround and the bathroom sink will be a must in any house we own from here on out. I just love it!!! Jeff has gotten the tile on the top and just now has to decide how to finish the front and side. It is going to be AWESOME!!! Hopefully you can get a glance at what's going on from the pictures and I'll post the finished bathroom when it's all done. I'm pretty lucky to have such a talented guy living at my house!!! No pics of the tub/shower yet but hopefully later this week I'll have something to post......
