Lets go racing boys..........

So life has been busy.......I haven't even downloaded pictures from my fun night with Karen and Jeff Mac but they have so go and check out their blogs. It was a fun time hanging out with them. London is lucky to get Jeff for the next little while!!! We went to Truro this past weekend for Emily's baptism. The kids were really happy to see their cousins and got lots of play time together. I'm already thinking about Jessica's baptism and it's still 11 months away. She is excited about it and what a special day it will be!!

So onto the title of my post....... we have become NASCAR fans......some of you know this....maybe some of you don't but it is our weekend addiction. I used to endlessly mock my friend Lori on her love of the sport but I'm just as bad as she is now. Last May, Jeff and his Dad were lucky enough to go to Charlotte, North Carolina for the All -Star Race. It was an awesome trip that Jeff won and since I wasn't able to go ( I was 9 months prego) I insisted that he take his father with him. They had a blast together at the races and Jeff has talked about it ever since. We really wanted to go back this May but the sensible sides of us kicked in and we paid off some debt instead of incurring more. I couldn't justify spending money on a trip when we could be that much closer to no debt. Hopefully next year we might be able to pull it off.......anyhow......I have been bugging Jeff ever since for a trip to New Hampshire as there is a race track there. I haven't been able to get him to go for it UNTIL this past weekend. My Dad was talking about a weekend trip down that way and I suggested that we take the kids and tag along. It just also happens to be the weekend the cars are racing at Loudon......so YAHOO....we are off to the races. Mom and Dad are going to watch the kids for the day so we can have some quality fun time together. I can't wait!!! We have seats in the Main Grand Stand right across from Pit Road. Hopefully it's going to be an awesome race with even a few crashes......it has been a whirlwind week of planning as this had gone from a thought on Sunday night to buying tickets and booking hotels on Monday.

So stay posted for a trip update.......I won't get anything more up before going as tomorrow is jam packed full of packing and cleaning. The kids have to go to school Friday morning for a little bit to get report cards. They are having an assembly that morning too and Jessica is receiving the Citizenship Award so we can't really miss out. What a big day for her!!! We are all excited for the weekend and the adventure we are going to have......I'm even finally going to get to a Bath and Body Works......I have never been.....have tons of their products but have never bought them myself. Can't wait...........till next week.....hope everyone has a FANTASTIC weekend and Happy Canada Day!!!!

This is where we are off to.......

Can't wait........

Kababji, Fathers Day and Stripping........

Life has not been dull.......not too busy but still busy enough. On Friday night Jeff, Darren and I went out to dinner to Kababji. Lesley wasn't to happy to hear that we actually carried through with this dinner date but we had to have Darren eat at one awesome restaurant before her. It's the never ending joke around here but I told her that I would take her there for lunch one day so she could try it out. We had a yummy meal and left with super full bellies. It is Lebanese food and AMAZING.......I recommend for everyone to try......it's in Burnside right next to the Mission Office. If you can get reservations on a Saturday night you can even see some belly dancing!! My mom watched the kids and they got to have some play time with Uncle Brandon and Auntie Karen at the playground. It looked like a fun time!!! Karen took lots of pictures. On Saturday morning the girls finished off Gymnastics at their "Fun Meet". I wasn't thinking and didn't take the camera but managed to get some video footage on my Blackberry. They had a blast and loved getting their ribbons, candy and medal at the end. We aren't too sure if we will be doing gymnastics again in the fall but they have had alot of fun doing it until now. Saturday night Jeff and I got together with some friends for a yummy steak BBQ and a little Rockband. It was so funny!!!! The steak was delicious........Jodie Smith made the BEST homemade ice-cream and the kids had a blast with Chelsea as she came over to babysit......it was long overdue. She's awesome and my kids just adore her. Always nice to know that someone you trust is with your kids and that they love them as much as you do.

My amazing supper......you can get rice if you don't want fries

Starting to dig in....
Darren getting ready to take his first bite

Loving the hummus......it's awesome!!!

Sunday brought Father's Day around and we made some breakfast for Daddy and the kids had a blast giving him the gift they had picked out. Sarah LOVES the color pink so of course while we were at Tommy Hilfiger getting a tie for Daddy she found a pink shirt. Luckily he loved it and proudly wore it last night. We had the Fraser clan over for dinner (we missed you Lesley) which is always a fun time. Aside from an accident with the potatoes all went smoothly and the kids had a blast hanging out together. We don't have the kids together nearly enough........we need to fix that Lesley!!! I took some pictures from dinner so Lesley could see that we pampered her hubby on Father's Day......and the kids got to enjoy their day with Dad!!! We can't wait until she gets back this week from Florida. I'm sure that Susan will miss her company but we miss her lots here too!!!!! Movie night just hasn't been the same........

Last but not least........ I think I'm in trouble.......I hope this is as far as it goes. I went in to get Georgia up from her nap this morning to find that she was trying to take off her clothes. She was pretty proud of herself and I'm just keeping my fingers crossed she doesn't start taking off the bottoms.......if so I'm going to have to sew all her clothes together:) I'm going to throw in some pictures of the beautiful flowers we have growing out front..........love seeing them come back every year!!! Hope to have something more exciting to tell you next time........maybe some adventures from my upcoming visit from Karen and Jeff.........can't wait to see them!!!!
She thought this was sooooooo funny!!!
What a girl......tonight she got a one-piece pair for bed

Starting them young......

Anyone who knows Jeff will know that he loves to kayak. He made a purchase of one last year and loves to get out every chance he has. He has his eye on another one already but I'm not ready to spend more money just yet. Yesterday was a beautiful day and he got to head out for a long paddle. Usually his buddy Luke goes with him but he was unable to come. He put in at the beach at Shubie Park and then paddled down to a Kayak Store almost in Fall River. It was a lot of fun!!! Before heading out though I think Georgia was pretty excited to have a chance to play in the kayak......nothing like starting them young.

Georgia gearing up to go.....I love having a
camera in my blackberry for moments like this!

Happy Birthday to my buddy Jeff!!!!

This is a birthday shout out to my buddy Jeff. He's out west for his friends wedding today but I wanted him to know that we were thinking of him. If you were at Roots today I would have had the kids singing to you by now.......instead this will have to do. Hope this next year is one of the best years of your life........I'm sure you are going to have some awesome London adventures to tell us all about. Looking forward to you and Karen coming to play......Happy Birthday Buddy!!!

Jeff and I at Roots.....he was working hard that day.....

Another night on the fields......many more to come....

So tonight was round two of soccer and luckily we only have to go once more this week as Sarah doesn't play again till next week. Next week we are lucky too, because the girls play on the same night.....just a parking lot away from eachother. We then approach some weeks where we will be at the fields 4 nights. Jessica has some games on Sunday which we won't be going to so that will make a few weeks not sooooooo busy. I don't know how we will manage in 2 years when we have 3 kids playing in 3 different age groups!!! Sarah's team is called the Crocodiles and they are a fun little bunch. Her friend Kamdyn (#19) from school is on her team and they are excited to see eachother all summer. They had a blast playing last night and I think that Sarah is really going to get into it this summer. She was right in the middle of it all last night and I think even had a goal..........Kamdyn snuck in as it was on the line and gave it a huge kick but I'm pretty sure Sarah had it in. We took some pictures of her first night and I'm sure at some point this summer we'll have more soccer pictures up but we just needed some of the first night!!! If you haven't seen Jessica's they are on the post under this one.......
Getting ready to warm up...
Deep in thought....

Having so much fun.....

One sport ends......another begins......

June is starting to get busy. Do I like busy.....sometimes.....sometimes not.....I guess I'll know how busy the month will be when I get Sarah's soccer schedule tomorrow night. I'm hoping that the girls have some games on the same night.....I don't want to be at a field every night of the week. So last Wednesday was the last day of gymnastics this term. The girls have both done really well and always enjoy class. They have improved alot these past 5 months and I'm quite proud of them. They both received their Red badges.....they have 3 in the Beginner level and both girls have earned the first 2. I'm not sure if they will be returning to gymnastics in the fall as they are thinking about trying out some new things so time will tell. They would love to do everything but things seem to get more and more expensive these days. Here are a few shots of them doing their things.......
Loves gymnastics....
Watching me, watching her....
Taking a break??
Just hanging out for a bit
Flipping over the bar
Sarah jumping around...
Jessica on the trampoline.....

Some of the pictures aren't as great as I wanted them to be but I was playing with the camera and then was told that I couldn't use my flash. It's a hard place not to use a flash. So we are now onto soccer season.......Jessica had her first game tonight. Her friend Alexander Pinsent is on her team this summer and so is her friend Nicholas from school. I think that she had a fun first night. Her team is called "The Explosion" and she seems to have a great coach. They practice for 45 minutes and then play for the last 45 minutes. She had some time running on the field and ended the night in nets. I'm not quite sure if she understands nets but she did a great job and even stopped some shots. Sarah, Jacob and Georgia had a blast watching and playing with Olivia. It is going to be fun hanging out with our friends at the fields this summer. Sarah has her first game tomorrow night and is excited. We know of one friend on her team and who knows.....maybe some more. Till another update from the fields tomorrow night....here are some more pictures....I'm off to cool off.....it was a smoking hot day with a humidex of 32 so I'm ready for the cool evening air.....
Catching her kick???
Dribbling the ball
Doing drills in practice....
Ring around the rosy.....

Why use one bottle when you can have two??
Stopping to watch the game for a minute
My little firecracker
Getting ready to play
Alexander practicing
Heading for the action
Alexander has the classic LONG jersey.....
Not too sure about the gloves
Alexander & Jessica.....

Just an extra two shots at the end......one of Georgia from supper....it's for Naomi....hard to see her full outfit but she is wearing the summer romper you gave her last year.....it fits her perfect and was great for the hot day today. And then the other is for Auntie KiKi and Uncle Mike.....she is modelling the dress you got her for her birthday.....she wore it to church the other week!!!!
