On Thursday Jared, Stacie, Grandma, and I flew to Oregon for my brother Brandt's wedding.
He met a lovely girl, Crystal, from our hometown. They were married in the Portland Oregon Temple on Friday, May 27th. It was a gorgeous morning! I'm so happy for them and Brandt is one lucky guy, we really like Crystal!

On Friday afternoon we drove to home to Washington. It was the most amazing drive home along the Columbia River to Washington. The scenery was plush with green, I've never seen it so bright green in all my life! Probably because I'm used to sage brush, rocks, and such in Utah. We drove pass Multnomah Falls and that was a sight to see. Never seen it that full before!
On Saturday afternoon my brothers, sister, Dad, and I went golfing. I'm a terrible golfer, but I'm an excellent golf cart driver! I did manage to drive a ball straight once though, it went not too far, but it was straight. After golfing we all got ready at the house for the wedding reception. It was a full house here with 15 people. The reception was really pretty. I loved the winter theme, there was an ice sculpture. It was amazing! There was dancing... and we love to dance. I think all my siblings were out on the dance floor, with the exception of Jared. He's shy to dancing. Blake showed us his angry robot, never laughed so hard in my life. Blake and I had a dance off to Jimi Hendrix's "Foxy Lady". It was a really fun reception.
On Sunday I was surprised that all 15 of us were on time to church. Phew! After church we had a BBQ with Crystal's family and the missionaries. It was fun to chat outside in the nice weather. The nephews had a blast having wrestling matches with Brandt. Earlier that day Heidi and I went for a leisurely bike ride around the neighborhood, it was fun to talk to her and just laugh.
Monday morning we all drove to Boulder Cave for a hike. Boulder Cave is a small cave, only about half a mile long. No contorting of the body needed to get through this cave... that is not my thing! You just walk on through! It was fun to hike and be outside! We had a picnic afterwards to celebrate my Mom's birthday. After the hike Heidi and I felt adventurous again and we decided to take her sons' Razor Scooters for a ride. We had so much fun flying down the big hills here. We got a little wild and started sitting on the scooters (those things are like 6 inches wide, ouch). That didn't work out so well so we decided to scoot down the hill towards our house by crouching down. Unfortunately I got the weeble wobbles and totally wiped out (like I was sliding in to home base in baseball). Fortunately it was right in front of my house! Unfortunately it was on the busiest street of the whole town! HAHA! I couldn't breath I was laughing so hard and I looked up and Heidi was doubled over. Glad she could witness that cause it was hilarious. I got a few scrapes on my knees and hands, but all is well. I learned that Razor Scooters, although designed for children, are REALLY, REALLY fun, but their speed is VERY underestimated! Following that adventure we decided to celebrate Mom's birthday with a night out at the movies with just the gals. We went to see "Something Borrowed", a chick flick. It was pretty good and it didn't hurt that the main actor was very, very good looking.
Well, now it's Tuesday and it's time to go back to Utah. We leave today around 3:50. I'm going to miss this place! Till next time. It's always fun to come back home. Lots of good memories and more memories in the making here!
