Next time, I promise, I will pull over when I get tired.
I crashed coming home from Boise visiting my parents. Sadly I was in Orem and I fell asleep at 3pm in the afternoon. Ironically Katy Perry's song "I'm Wide Awake" was playing when I crashed. I remember the 1600 North exit and hit the crash cushions on the 800 North overpass. Those water filled crash cushions really do save lives. Naturally they cushion quite nicely for the driver, not so for the vehicle for obvious reasons. So grateful I am alive and well AND no one else was hurt.

A little Sunday inspiration from a book I am reading,The Alchemist

My favorite part about reading this book is it's focus on being in the present. I know that I focus so much on what the future holds and where I will be in ten years that I worry and stress myself out. Here is my favorite quote from the book that I want to share with you:

"The future belongs to God, and it is only He who reveals it, under extraordinary circumstances...If you pay close attention to the present, you can improve upon it. And, if you improve on the present, what comes later will also be better. Forget about the future, and live each day according to the teachings, confident that God loves His children."

I believe that when we focus too much on the future, and even our past, we overlook what we can do now.

I flew, like a bird!!!

Nervous happy! At this point you're so excited that all you can do is smile.

Kevin, my instructor. He had large gages, a plethora of tattoos, and hilariously funny. It was perfect!
Half way up, 10 minutes till jump time!
The red standby light came on and everyone put on their helmets. And I freaked out.
Reeeeady, seeeeet....
GOOOOOO!
This is my favorite picture of the free fall. We did 3 flips and he caught my screaming face!
FLYING!!!
WOOOOOO-EEEEEE!!! The greatest feeling in the world!

The parachute ride was my favorite. You're floating slowly down to the ground. We did some fun turns up there and I even got to control the parachute. So awesome.

I'm alive!!!

I did it! Phew!!! So wild!
