Valentine Fun!

We've been celebrating this love holiday for a couple of days now. We love to show our love for our kids!

On the back of our kitchen table chairs, the kids have envelopes where we give them valentines.
'You make my heart POP valentine'

'You are such a 'Smartie' Pants!'

Some sixlets with some cute Star Wars valentines.

You are such a sweet'tart'!

'You blow me away'

On Valentines they got a new shirt, rolos and drawing pads (since we go through a ton of paper in this house).

We went to Stake Conference. Jeff prepped and cooked ribs for a family dinner!

We combined my Mom's birthday dinner with Adri and Trent's Valentines tradition of a 'Fancy' dinner, where they 'dress' up.

My valentines, my heart and my world!

I adore my family and am so grateful for them!

HAHA! We have a good time :)

I love this man!

My momma and me!

These women are amazing!

Grammy and Papa (yes he has a man bun, haha!)

Birthday fun!

This lady is such an amazing person, who has taught me so much.

Adri planned some fun games for the kids.....

"Shot through the heart"

The heart walk! Some of the hearts had some fun and funny actions. You had to do whatever the heart you stopped on said.

Grammy and Papa gave the kids glow sticks! They know we all love a good glow in the dark dance party!

Lily in a heart :)

Dancing with Aunt Adri!

There is never a dull moment when we are together.
So glad we could spend time with those we love!!

Valentines Party!

Today we had our Valentines Party with our homeschool group. We sure love our friends and spending time with them!

Once all the RSVP's came in for the party, there were 80 kids signed up. It was fun to watch my kids sign 'the Nicks Family' to the bottom of each card. They took their stack and had fun filling them out.

All 80 Valentines!
We were split between the two sayings on the cards. So we printed some of each.

We made a family Valentines box.
Good ol' R2D2

The kids help decorate the sides and top.
Haden's

Delaney did the top.

Coleman's

Grant's

They could hardly wait for the party!
We had it at Calico Basin. The weather was perfect! The company was fantastic and it turned out to be a blast.

Passing out Valentines.

Delaney and Haden took care of ours while the other 3 were off playing.

I hardly saw my kids for the 3+ hours we were there. They would go off exploring with friends and come back every so often to check in. I LOVED how much fun they had!

My cute people!

As soon as we got home they sorted their Valentines.

So much fun! We love our homeschool friends!

Super Bowl 50!

Yesterday was the 50th Super Bowl, and just like in years past, we celebrated the Super Bowl with a fun party!

The kids helped on Saturday night, by decorating their teams endzone.

The both turned out fantastic and it was fun to watch them be creative!

On Saturday we also prepped as much as the food that we could, including chocolate covered strawberries....

And sugar cookie footballs.

Sunday we were at church until 4:00. We came home, finished prepping and cooking food. And started watching the game.

Our menu included chicken strips, mozzarella sticks, BBQ meatballs, nachos, bean dip, cheeseball, lil' smokies and bacon as well as the strawberries and cookies. The kids were so excited that we were having a party.

Their excitement, and gratefulness of these parties make it all worth it! And the reason why I continue to do them for each holiday, year after year :)

Haden watching the game!

Such a good game. And good sportsmanship in our house between the two teams.
We aren't really Panthers fans, but when the other teams your kids are rooting for don't make it, you have to make it fun by going against the team Haden was going for :)
Jeff always roots for the team opposite of Haden, just to make it fun.

Broncos won!!

This boy was very excited!!

Too bad boys! Maybe next year!

Our team won! Woohoo!!!

A few friendly bets were made and there were some happy winners!

Kahle bet Jeff a giant cookie.
If Jeff had won, Kahle would have had to snuggle Jeff any time he wanted for a week.

Kahle bet Grant to make his sandwich for lunch.
If Grant had won, Kahle would have had to make Grant a sandwich.

I bet Grant to have to fold laundry.
If Grant had won, I would have had to put his laundry away.

Delaney bet Coleman to do her chores for a week.
If Coleman had won, Delaney would have had to do Coleman's chores.

Haden wouldn't bet, he didn't want to jinx anything :)

It was such a fun day, spent as a family!! We had a blast!
