One year ago today...

Happy Birthday Dawson!!!
One year ago today my life changed forever. Our Dawson was born at 11:41pm in St. George Ut. This year has been the best year of my life. Watching him grow and learn and experience new things is more fulfilling then anything I have ever felt. I never knew that I could love someone so much. He makes me laugh everyday. When his heart is broken, so is mine, when he is overwhelmed with excitement, so am I. Every time he lays his head on my shoulder or laughs I feel so blessed and happy to be his Mom.
Wow, who knew Dawson turning One would make me so mushy. :)

I am not claiming that motherhood is a never-ending fountain of joyful bliss. Motherhood is challenging, messy and sometimes a little smelly, yet is the most important thing that I can do with my life.

Thank you Dawson, for filling my life so completely this past year, I love you!

Anxiously waiting.......and waiting.....and waiting

Hooray! He is finally here!

Perfect

Still Perfect

one fish....two fish....red fish....blue fish

For Memorial Day we wanted to go fishing, perservence pays off because Plan F worked out great.

Plan A: camping and fishing at Hoop Lake
too much snow in the Uintas :(
Plan B: camping and fishing at Verrnon reservoir
no room in the inn-the lake was packed:(
Plan C: Clover campgrounds
too full :(
Plan D: roasting marshmellows in the backyard
this one sort of worked out
Plan E: get up early and go fish at Deercreek
water heater went out and the boys spent the morning installing a new one :(
Plan F: go to a park in A.F. with a fishing pond..
Success!! .......finally

I reeled in the 1st fish, Dawson was impressed

throwing rocks in the lake was Dawson's favorite part!

apparently mud is more fun in when its in your hair?!?

We took a trip around the pond in the raft, D wasn't sure what to think about that, but he knew he hated the life vest

The whole group, check out that string of fish!

feeding the ducks, D's quack sounded more like he was clearing his throat but it was still adorable.

just chillin' with Mom

He loved watching the fish wriggle around, he made this face after touching it.

Sink or swim?

Dawson hasn't liked the water much, but I thought we would give it another try. It was a little better.....sort of. Cousin Carson sure loved to slash around though, and it was fun to enjoy the sun

Yeehaa!

Dawson is starting to really love the outdoors, especially Grandma Parry's swing

D also got pretty adventurous and went for a mule ride with Grandma and Grandpa.

He got pretty into it making the noises that the mule was making.
