Summer time...

We are off and running through July it seems. We have had lots of fun so far this month and it is not even half over!! We've done a little bit of everything, enjoy the pictures!

Playing at the park is always fun

Clayton thought he was pretty big going up and down all by himself

An evening horse ride

He loves to ride with mom and mom loves to ride with him

Our day at Seven Peaks. The boys loved it

They are both ready to go back. Duncan thought the big slides were pretty fun.  He wasn't scared at all!

Then on to the 4th of July at the city park

Big brother takes pretty good care of little brother...

And little brother thinks he is just as big as anyone else! Down he comes all by himself!

Duncan loves the slides

BBQ at Grandma's

And this is usually a daily occurrence. They are too funny

After the BBQ the kids enjoyed the slip n slide

And the big kids enjoyed it too..

Dad and Clayton

Giving it a try by himself

Then we had fireworks at dark

ALL the kids...

Then we had sparklers...

Clayton wasn't sure what they were at first but it didn't take him long to decide he liked them:)

This is "Rocky" he goes everywhere with us, well almost:)

Continuing the 4th of July weekend, since it was a long one, we  had a cook out

It doesn't take much to talk my boys into starting a fire :)

And then we slept in the new tent!!

The little boys and the dogs slept a whole lot better than Richard and I did... but it was fun anyway.

Then on to Boondocks! Duncan loved these cars and spent most of the time driving them!

Clayton enjoyed riding in the cars as well. You couldn't see him over the side of the car, but he was having lots of fun!

Of course the boats are always lots of fun. Duncan thinks it is awesome that he is big enough to drive his own things now:)

Dad and Clayton enjoying the boats. Clayton sprayed the water the entire time, he enjoyed it and was a good little helper!

I just had to post this. It has rained plenty this summer and it has been refreshing. I took this picture out the back door  while I was at work last week. I missed the double one but it was still pretty.

And here is my other little cowboy...

This one just loves to play in the dirt...

And Richard and Ace are making all sorts of progress. There are still lots of hours to be spent, but he is doing a great job so far. We even rode together the other night in the field. Me on Buster and Richard on Ace- progress....

And this little spoiled man has a fair amount of the teenagers in this town rapped around his finger. He is a pretty lucky little boy because the kids are pretty darn nice. This is our neighbor and a couple of his cute friends. They brought us some home made ice cream and Duncan asked them if they wanted to come back and sit in the hot tub.  They came back obviously and he was more than excited! Good kids, lucky little boy :)

And a summer day wouldn't be complete if they didn't get to ride with Dad on the 4-wheeler.

So there is our house all caught up for now! Hope you had a great 4th of July at yours! Enjoy your summer!

Well, we made it through June! It is hard to believe that July is already here and the celebrations begin! But for now, here are some pictures from Duncan's birthday and the end of baseball season at our house.  Enjoy the pics!

His buddies at the party

Red rover, red rover....

The kids all had a lot of fun playing this game

Then on to the water balloon game..

And then presents- every birthday boy's favorite part!

Once again all of them hanging out before the pinata

And we began with the birthday boy...

Then youngest to oldest from there. Clayton thought he was as big as life doing what all the other kids were doing

And then the candy!!

Later that night we headed for the ball park...

He likes to be the catcher, and does a good job at it!

The team after the game. Clayton thought he needed to be in it and stood right next to Duncan and even gave him a little brotherly love:)

That night we had cake with both sets of Grandparents. I think he had a good day. He was surely tired at the end of it. Wow, how time flys when you are having fun:) I can't believe he is 7 already.

Then on Sunday we had our family party. This was his cake. We have a local bakery that an older man runs and he does an awesome job. The cake was just what Duncan ordered and was delicious.

He got lots of wonderful presents

And then this was the finale courtesy of Aunt Kecia, Uncle Justin and the boys....

He was soooo excited!!!

He is so cute with "his" puppy and the puppy loves him just as much. Duncan told me later that night that the puppy was the best present he had ever gotten:) Thanks Aunt Kecia and family for his present:)

Clayton was pretty ok with the whole thing too.

Blowin' out candles!

OUR BIG BOY!!

After all the food and presents we rode the horse for a minute. Clayton wasn't too sure about sharing his riding time with his cousins, but once we got them on, they enjoyed the ride. And yes, I do ride bareback in my shorts all the time... :)

I had to post this picture of Lucky and the kittens that I took on Sunday night. This is their cat house!! Lucky was right at home with them and we thought that she was safe but, Monday morning when I went out, Lucky was gone and there was not a sign of her at all.  Needless to say, I hate raccoons and obviously we haven't gotten rid of all of them yet. I really was heartbroken and felt so bad, she was such a cute little duck and helpless. I don't think we will have any more feathered friends for a while. But, we had fun watching her and her little kitten friends interact. Crazy animals :)

Duncan and "Rocky"

And then more ball! Richard did a great job with his boys this year and was an ace on the mound, which in coach pitch means he threw a great ball because all of the kids hit every time.

Some last minute instructions...

And we will end with a little farm picture. We have done plenty of farming thus far!

Hope you are having a great summer at your house and Happy 4th of July!!
