To cap off our week, we ended it with our trip to Temple Square and my birthday. You stop counting after 30 right? ha ha. 31 isn't so bad, at least I can't tell a difference. You don't have to act your age anyway right again? I had a great day with all my boys. We saw the movie Secretariat, which is Excellent, had a wonderful dinner that Richard cooked for me with our parents and then we went to the Senior Ball at the High School to watch the b-ball girls and of course Duncan's girlfriends. I had a great birthday and I always have a great time spending special days with my adorable boys and of course my hubby.

Here are a couple of pictures of Clayton. He is so funny and thinks he is so big! He loves to do what ever Duncan does and he LOVES the cats. This is our new little kitten, "Bullseye". She doesn't mind the attention too much.

Blowing out the candles

All my boys
Virginia Tech played for the ACC Championship while we were eating dinner. The boys were all in their VT attire and Tech won! Duncan saw the Hokie bird and so life is great :)

Temple Square

We took a trip up to Temple Square this last weekend to see the lights. The weather was nice and of course the lights are beautiful. The boys had a good time and Richard and I always have a good time when we are doing something with the boys. We love this time of year at our house and it has been a few years since we'd been to Temple Square. If you get a chance, I suggest you go!

Christmas Tree Hunting

Well it is that time of year again!!! Merry Christmas!
We headed off to get our Christmas trees Saturday after Thanksgiving and as usual had a great time!

My children think that Grandpa and Grandma are lots better than mom and dad and so they both headed to ride with them on the four wheelers, instead of with their mom or dad!  Duncan ended up riding with his Dad, but Clayton hung out with Grandma and Grandpa the whole way!
I'm glad they like Grandpa and Grandma though:)

Some day I'm sure they will hate me for their cute little hats, but they are so warm!!!
They are cute, even cuter in real life:)

Our little driver...

Home we go with ALL the trees!

November

Here is a little peek at our house lately...

Someone is getting pretty big-

We've been swimming, courtesy of Mr. McKay

We had all sorts of fun and Duncan is getting pretty good at floating on his back as well as swimming!

I have a similar picture of Duncan doing this at just about the same age- yes, they are ALOT alike :)

This is my old horse Jake. Long story short, he is in "greener pastures".  It has been an adjustment looking out my back door and not seeing him standing in the field or walking out to check on him and make sure he was warm enough and so on. He is a fixture on the farm. He was the horse that everyone got to ride for the first time or if they had never riden a horse because he was our gentle giant. You trusted him with anyone and all of the grandkids have taken a ride or two on him for the first time all by their self.  He was 35 years old, pretty old for a horse, and has been my best friend since I was a kid. I spent countless hours riding and spending time on him growing up. I hope my boys are able to have a pal like him to spend their childhood/adolescence on riding and enjoying horses. He gave us all lots of fun memories and good laughs. We will all miss him.

Grandpa and Clayton after Thanksgiving dinner- Poor Grandpa:)

There is always something fun to do at Aunt Kecia's house. Air hockey, ping pong, you name and they have it to keep us all entertained.

Hope you had a great Thanksgiving too!
