Summer Fun

How about catching up??? ha ha ha- If you can't tell I am going to attempt to get our blog current as you will see if you scroll down through the next couple of posts:) Anyway, we went fishing over the week end at Gooseberry. It was the boys first time fishing and I think they had a pretty fun time. We had a pretty good day catching 4 fish in about 2 1/2 hours. For me, that is good fishing(I am not a patient fisherman/woman). Anyway, after we got done fishing we took the boys and hopped on the fourwheelers for a little ride. I of course forgot the camera in the truck, but everybody had a fun day. We love summer

Birthday Boy

Well, I can't believe that my "Big boy", as he likes to be called,(he is no longer my baby according to him- little does he know:) is another year older!! It is hard to believe that Duncan is 6 years old. He is such a joy and is growing up to be quite the little man. We are thankful every day for him and the blessing that he is in our lives and the lives of many. Happy Birthday Duncan!!

This year he wanted a firefighter birthday party so... all the little guys were dressed and ready for some fire action. They all had a great time. We gave him a firetruck for his birthday and it was a hit.





He also got a special visit from Hannah. Hannah was Aunt Iris' dog and he loves her. Aunt Iris' good friend Dora took Hannah when she passed away and the two of them brought him a present and to say happy birthday. He was so excited to see Hannah. He talked to her and they walked around the yard and Hannah just loved all the attention. Duncan was always in charge of taking care of Hannah when Aunt Iris would go out of town or on longer trips, so they have quite the bond. He noticed a little heart shaped tag on her collar while they were at the house and he asked Dora if that was on there so that Hannah could always remember that Aunt Iris loved her. Funny how his little mind works and I think he misses Aunt Iris just a little bit. What a fun visit from them though.





Next is the water slide!! Duncan got a water slide for his birthday and of course the cousins need to come help try it out!!




On Sunday we had his family party and again he was spoiled rotten. We are so lucky to have such wonderful family to spend time with and that love our kids so much. He got lots of fun gifts and the cousins had all sorts of fun playing and racing around the yard while the adults got to visit.






This would be his mother's poor rendition of a fire truck cake. We aren't going to talk about the color, it is a sore subject, but it sure did taste good and he was happy so I guess it all turned out in the end.

Baseball

Well we finished our baseball season. The boys had lots of fun and Duncan had a great time playing and running and just being him... He is a character.
Clayton also enjoyed the time outside in the evenings at the games. How much fun is summer? Enjoy the pictures!

Happy 1st Birthday

So his mom is a slacker- Clayton's birthday was a couple of weeks ago but since mom is playing catch up, it is just getting posted now:)
Our family is now "whole" with the addition of our little bundle of joy. He has been so fun, so sweet and has brought so much love with him. Richard and I didn't know what it was like to actually have a "normal" baby experience. We have enjoyed him so much and he has grown up right before our eyes it seems and way too fast. It has also been equally as fun to watch Duncan with him and see how precious the relationship between siblings truly is. They sure do enjoy each other and we get lots of laughs watching both of them, laugh at each other :) We can't believe it has been a year already, but what a fun year of "FIRSTS" for him and for the rest of us to be a part of as well. Enjoy some of the pictures from the past year, and... his 1st Birthday party as well. We had a really fun party and he got so many cute gifts from everyone. Thank you family :) I can't believe my baby is ONE!
