Funny things kids say

We went to visit daddy at work, just driving through the drive through, to not bother him too much, but so the kids could see him and say hi real quick. It was fun to have the kids see him at work, and in turn Joe gave them all a lollipop. They all said hi, and we were on our way, not long after we left Ryan Exclaimed....."MOM!! We have to go back!!! I forgot to tell daddy that he needs to help me unlock guys when he gets home, PLEASE mom you need to go back so I can Tell him!!" ("Unlocking guys" is playing his XBOX game Lego Star wars)

Ryan told me when we were at the park.... Mom we need to go home so I can poo, then we will come right back!"

I was holding one twin after Putting on PJ's after a bath and we were watching a DVD while the girls drank their milk, and the other twin was standing in front of the TV and I called out....

"Kaylee! Come here" and the girl in my lap looks up and says" What?"

and again I said "Kaylee come here!" calling for the twin by the TV and the girl in my lap again looks up and says "What?" I started a 3rd time to call out, but before I got any words out I finally realized that I had Kaylee in my lap and it was Renee by the TV! That's why she kept on looking at me all confused and saying" What?" and the other twin was totally ignoring me!!

Ya I've lost it!

Friday

So I really don't love it when the kids are sick. It really makes having twins really hard. The crying, coughing, and puking has reached an all time high. This story has made my youngest brother david not want to have kids....so there's your warning!

The girls have been coughing, and when they get going, sometimes it makes them throw up. And it's not just a little, it starts the whole water fall flow going! It's given me a chance to use my new carpet cleaner that I got for Christmas and to my pleasant surprise, it works great!! So i've now cleaned our Lazy boy, and several spots on the carpet and washed several sheets and pukey clothes. Well yesterday we put the girls down for a nap and I road on my bike with Ryan to the park to meet Katie and her kids. We weren't there long, before I got a distress call from Joe saying....."Um, Kaylee just threw up.......on Renee.......in her hair......ya it's pretty gross!"

"Ok I'm on my way home!" So that was a fun one! And my brother david really got a kick out of it, but now I"m afraid he won't have kids. he said that kids aren't sanitary and that is just super gross. and that he would of just shaved off her hair! Well Glad he wasn't here helping that day! haha

Airplane Ride to the Air Force!

My youngest brother David was graduating from Air force boot camp and I REALLY wanted to go. And with that desire to go, I had the crazy idea and same desire to take Ryan with me. Much to my surprise Joe didn't think it was stupid (like I thought he would- he did think it was crazy to take Ry but he left that up to me) and he got the tickets for me for Christmas!
So Ryan and I had quite the ADVENTURE! We were going
"On an airplane ride to the
Air force!"

He was so excited about the trip. I waited til the morning of the trip to tell him, because I still had a little doubt in my mind and then I could back out and just leave him home, if I thought it wasn't going to be a good idea....hehehe

But it turned out to be a great idea, he was so good the whole time (well except for bed time, he didn't like sleeping in a hotel!) He told everyone we ran into that we were going to the
"air force!"
He really liked the idea of having a cinnamon roll for a treat before we boarded the plane!
BUCKLE UP!
Ryan was very into everything about the plane, he even read along about all the safety features of the plane! :)
He loved having his OWN DVD player and with cool headphones!
He said to me "Mom what are these called again?"
"headphones"
"oh ya, I really like these!"

It made it quiet for all of us, except for when he sang along to the star wars theme song! :)

Finally Graduation day! We arrived and the first thing we saw was the frame below, with David's name on it saying that he graduated as an honor grad. We were instantly so happy and proud of him for such an awesome accomplishment! They then loaded us on to a bus and bussed us over to the parade grounds and we found a seat on these bleachers and waited for the ceremony to begin. The weather was great thank heavens! But the wait was pretty long, especially for Mr Ry!

Then the graduation began! They are all lined up here,

and then came marching by us...Becca was soo happy to finally be that close to him she started crying! :)

Then the finally ended and dismissed the Airman, they had to stay in formation until their family came to greet them, so we walked as fast as we could, I had to keep up with Becca!

The happy reunion! Together at last!

Ryan too was happy to "FINALLY SEE DAVID IN THE AIR FORCE!!!"

Then we walked over to see his barracks. He's not allowed to hold hands in public while in uniform, except for children. So Ryan was the lucky one to be able to hold his hand. Yes Becca was jealous! :)

"So this is where I lived for the past 2 months Ryan"

Proudly standing next to his ever so neat wall locker

Aww....so cute! Trying on the Jacket and the name for size!

These were his coins that he received for graduating honors. job well done David! That is quite an honor!

Ryan found his flash light, he thought it was cool. He had never seen a Light Saber like that before! But he instantly turned into Obe Wan! :)

I don't know why......wink wink.....but there were all kinds of airplanes flying over head. And Really BIG ones that were really loud. Bet you couldn't tell that this one was loud?!

After the tour of the dorms, and a meeting that David had to attend, we got into our car and they were finally able to hold hands again and make out...just kidding :) I'm sure having a 4yr old sitting next to you and your mom and your sister in the car deterred that! But at last they were together!

Then the next day(because I insisted) of course we went and took pictures in front some of the cool planes that they have on display out in the field. But it was Super windy and really cold, so we kept our pictures to a minimum that day. Yes I was bummed! :) But we got some good shots so I can't complain too much!

Hanging out at the River Walk. Man this brought back memories for me! I was here almost 10yrs ago in the Army 91B/C school (Medic and part of Nursing school)

Ryan really enjoyed the over sized people friendly pigeons!

On a boat ride on the river at the River Walk

You have to see the video below to understand the smile and expression on his face!

This is classic good old entertainment, for him and me and a few other onlookers!

Just hanging out at the hotel. After all the nights of him crying saying he wanted to go home and not want there, he told David " this is where we live" when we got to the hotel.

Airman Becca!

Saying goodbye at the airport. It was a great weekend, went way too fast, but so glad to of been there to see you Graduate. It made me re-live my military experience, and I felt so so proud of you!

Another treat before we board the plane. We had a front row seat to watch all the other planes out the window. The lady at the ice cream counter thought Ryan was so sweet she gave him a free cone to eat with his ice cream. Which I ended up eating for him so thanks RY! I knew it was a good idea to bring you along! hehe

We got to board early because I was traveling with a child under the age of 5. We were one of the firsts to get on board and the pilot and co-pilot were just getting situated and their door was open, so I asked if he could say hello and they were glad to talk to him for a minute. I caught some of their conversation on the video below.

The final "Blast off" to take us home. He was more excited this time than the first! I had to get this one video. He made the people behind us laugh by his excitement!

This was QUITE the ADVENTURE for me and Ryan. He got to ride in an airplane, on a bus and in a boat. He got to see "Uncle David in the Air force" and we survived mom's crazy driving in a crazy town full of one way roads!

So Proud of you David!!
