Sarelle's Cupcake Party

Sarelle had such fun with her friends!  We decorated cupcakes with our cupcake aprons on and then had fun playing some silly games and dancing to "Just Dance" Wii.  We ate one cupcake and took one to go.... too fun!

Spring Break 2011

Having some fun! I love when the kids are home - no school, nothing we HAVE to do...spending time together!

Monday we hung out with the DeHarts...nothing better than cuzzin'in' it :o)

Tuesday we went with Grandma and Aunt Janet to Zoomars petting zoo and Marie Calendars for lunch. Simple but fun outing.

Wednesday we just relaxed and Renna had some friends from church come over.

Then Thursday through Saturday we have been hanging out at a cabin in Arrowhead! Sissy and Buddy gave us this adventure for Christmas. (Sweetest gift ever) We have really had fun - found a hidden "twilight" baseball field and played lacrosse and softball and kick ball and soccer- read some books - touched the freezing lake when we explored - watched Shrek 4 and Hoodwinked - had a marshmellow war - ate treats til our stomachs hurt - played some board games and still need to paint some fancy finger nails and go for a walk again.

I LOVE my family! I am so very blessed to have such an awesome husband and amazing kids!!!

Wow! It's been a whole year. So just goes to show ya :If I had a blog.... I would never make time to post anything on it! Sad, but true. So the girls wanted me to post the latest Extreme sport that their little bro is performing...but the download is taking way too long. So instead I just posted some of the recent pictures...... amazing things like Sissy getting married, and Jackies wedding too, Jared's concerts, Homecoming (&the gang that went to go watch Konrie take pictures- ha), Halloween, soccer skills, , etc etc.... BUT maybe tomorrow I can update 2010. Yet another thing to put on my "to do" list. Ugh!

.

LOVIN' Life & all the craziness!
(Just need to get better about posting all the craziness)

Halloween (a little late)

Happy Halloween!

Oh so if I'm blogging tonight, I had better post the Halloween pictures that Sissy requested. I must say, Halloween was a lot of fun and super tiring. I need to just post things when they happen or it just doesn't happen. (you can quote me on that).
So They all looked so cute! Konrie was adorable as a black cat. Torra very sporty as the ref. Renna as Thing 1 (possibly my alltime favorite costume). Emery as Captain Jaclyn Sparrow. Sarelle the Hip Witch and Zale ... Batman (whatelse?)

We ended up trick or treating with 27 people, I think. A good time was had by all. I still love Halloween after all these years. I think I have pictures of Talon and I somewhere. I looked scary though. (truly the vampire look did not do good things for me)

Good Times!

So if I had a blog I would have to write about today. We had some good laughs. One had to do with one of our family traditions. .. So most everyone who know the Mings, knows that we make tacos EVERY Sunday. Nothing new. Same process every Sunday. We each have our jjobs... mine is the meat. Well, today the conversation was extra good or perhaps the cold meds were messing with my pea brain... but nonetheless... today I added Koolaid instead of the same Taco Seasoning Packet that we add every week. Yep. KOOLAID.... Tropical Punch.
Well... what do ya do? Can't waste perfectly good meat. Better just see what tropical tacos are gonna taste like. Ha ha~ we laughed pretty hard. Torra called them our "Festive Tacos" to kick off the Christmas season.
A few weeks ago I added Enchilada seasoning to the meat, not paying attention. For the following weeks, Sarelle (our 6 year old) would say in a very condescending tone, "Mom, this is the Taco Packet. Use this one. Not the enchilada packet." It got a good laugh. I can only imagine the weeks to come.... "Ah mom, no Tropical Tacos tonight please."
I don't know where my mind was. I added the powder. Went to fill the packet with water and realized it was really small and blue. Much smaller than usual. WOW! It wasn't until then that I looked and saw Koolaid. "hmmm... do I tell the family?... Bright red, no way out!" Ha! Of course, Torra ran for the camera and wanted to post it on Facebook. Guess I beat her to it... at least I think so.
Time for a vacation, ya think?

SuperHero Fairies Saved the Day!

Renna had her 12th birthday party tonight. What a bunch of nutty girls having so much fun!!!! They made tutus and added a superhero mask.... then came up with a skit "to save the day". They giggled and laughed and danced as we videoed.... and then again when they watched it at the end of the party. We had yummy BBQ burgers and dogs (nice warm evening) then went off to RiteAid for ice cream cones... yep with the Tutus and masks. I love 12 year old's giggles. Of course we had to throw in some silly games like human tic tac toe and donuts on a string. (It just wouldn't be a Ming party with out nonsensical games!)
Overall I think it was a success. Definately one to remember!!!
