Koch baby BOY!

That's right we are expecting baby number four in July 2013! It has been a crazy ride. We finally got to the place in October where we were ready to try again for another baby. I took a test in October and it was negative. So I didn't think anything of it and actually I still had my woman time so I figured I was in no way pregnant. I had some spotting so I went to the doctor just to check in and make sure things were ok. Rob was in the process of traveling from London to Germany this particular day. I went to the doctor and they informed me that I was indeed pregnant. It was such a shock to me! I have never found that information out at the doctor's office before. So I could not wait to FaceTime with Rob that night to let him know. We were both elated but decided because of what happened last time to hold off on telling anyone. So it was our little secret for a bit which was fun. Then we started letting people know after a few doctors appointments where things looked good. Then yesterday we had the "scary" doctors appointment where last pregnancy we found out that our baby was sick. All was well and we have a healthy baby! The ultrasound tech asked Rob and I if we wanted to know the gender and of course we do and she guessed a boy. The doctor came in and confirmed the same. I was shocked that at 12 weeks I could know the gender but it seems pretty positive that we are indeed having a boy! Sibley was not happy at first but after a few minutes warmed up to the idea and is excited for another baby in the family. Yay for another healthy koch baby!

The boys assembling!

It was a great Christmas. John came out which was fun. It was super low key and over in 30 minutes. There seems to be less presents as the kids get older because it's more expensive things rather than lots of little cheap toys. This year I tried to do something different and my friends sister paints and we had her do paintings for the kids and they turned out awesome. The kids were just as excited as I was so that was great!

Gabe's concert

It's really hard to tell but that is gabe dead center in the picture on the back row the second person in. In December he had his band concert and did an excellent job!

Stars game

Rob and I got great tickets from his work to a stars vs. blackhawks game. We are not huge hockey fans but we had to cheer for the blackhawks since we did like them in Chicago. The blackhawks killed the stars and it was a fun game!

Carving Pumpkins

Back in October we carved pumpkins! The kids had fun! I couldn't get a great picture of them outside. The best part was that Gabe said when his was all lit up outside that in the dark his pumpkin looked awesome but in the light it looks like a four year old did it. He is so funny!

Random

The kids playing in the ICE during the ice storm where we were stuck at home for four days straight!

Sibley wearing one of my hats and saying it looked like she changed her hair!

New Christmas ornaments 2013- Gabe got a huge star, Sibley got a little doll and Jude got the grinch.

This was funny because Sibley made this list and it was empty! Lol, later she did fill it out!

Sibley's MCO performance

In December Sibley had her MCO performance. She did amazing! There was a lot of practice involved and she did great! We were very proud of her and brought her some pink roses which she loved!

My nerd

One day Sibley came out and said "look mom I'm a nerd." That silly girl!

Dad's presents from London and Germany!

In November Rob traveled to London and Germany for work. He brought back a porcelain doll for sibley, these cool knights for the boy and chocolate for me! We miss him when he is gone and he works hard for our little family!

Walk

Back in November we went for a walk around the neighborhood to enjoy the leaves changing. I'm glad we did. Our beloved Franks was hit by a car soon after these pictures were taken. The fence got blown open and he was gone. It was the saddest thing but we have grieved for our sweet pup.

Halloween 2013

This past halloween the kids had a great time! Gabe dressed up as Doctor Who. Which involved us buying him a tie and suit coat for 3 dollars from salvation army and he wore his church clothes and used his sonic screwdriver. Sibley wanted to be an 80's girl so we just worked with what she had for clothes and I totally teased the crud out of her hair! Jude wore his taekwondo outfit and was that. Franks was the big hit as a weenie dog! Everyone commented on him when we went trick or treating!

Mavs Game

In October Rob got really good tickets to a Mavs game from his work. It was so much fun! We love watching basketball and the Mavs are the only Dallas team I can really tolerate!

Arrow of light

In October gabe received his arrow of light award. He actually earned it in July but this was the first pack meeting we could make it to. He works so hard in scouts and really tries to do a good turn daily!

Pumpkin Patch

In October I went on a field trip with Jude and his class to a pumpkin patch. It was a lot of fun! There was a hay ride, a maze, lots of games, feeding farm animals and picking out a pumpkin! I learned Jude seems to be pretty popular. I talked to other mom's and whether they had a son or a daughter they said they had heard a lot about Jude. I'm glad he is such a good boy. He actually stuck up in class for his friend George when other kids were making fun of his name. Jude is such a good example!
