The evenings are mostly cool now so we have taken to playing basketball in the driveway. It is fun and we are able to lower the basket so all the kids can actually make their shots. All three kids really like playing basketball and if you ask me they are all brilliant. Sibley has her image to uphold. As soon as we decided to shoot she changed into her "exercise" clothes, put on a headband and her iPod. I guess Taylor Swift really gets her pumped to play basketball.
Sibley mentioned to me the other day that she wanted to be Aurora for Halloween. So look what I found at Costco? Again, so affordable which I love! I waited until after chores, homework and reading were done and she was so excited.
This is Sibley and her BFF Julia. We were so lucky when we moved into this house to have a great family in our ward living right down the road! Julia and Sibley are like two peas in a pod. They really are! They are so cute together and they are even going to perform a little dance in the variety show at school. Gabe was lucky too that Jacob, Julia's brother, also lives down the road. I think we were being watched out for because Gabe really missed his Indiana friends when we moved here and to meet Jacob right away was a real blessing. Yay for friends right down the road!
In going through my mom's stuff a few weeks ago I found these amazing tinker toys from when I was a kid. Not only were these fun but they were extra special because they were from my grandma Peringer's house. She had a closet in her living room with toys, games and puzzles for all the grandchildren. The tinker toys were always a big hit. I am so happy my kids get to play with them now.
I took Jude to costco yesterday and we happened to check out the Halloween costumes. And look what we found! For only 15.99 we found this amazing captain american costume! Jude fell in love and as soon as I saw him in it so did I. He is so cute! Now I just need to figure out what to do for the other two kids. Hopefully their costumes will be as inexpensive as Jude's!
