The Park

Finally liking shoes.
Diva!

He was laughing and after I took the pic he was freaking out asking me to help him down. It was
funny.

Cute boy.

Throwing rocks into the fountain.
Yesterday and the day before we walked to the park. It was so nice outside. I even wore capri's yesterday! Loved it. The kids had fun too. Jude is finally wearing his sandals from the Easter bunny and liking them. The park is just down the road and so nice. They are usually other kids there for my kids to play with. And I was hoping to read New Moon but Jude is so busy now and wants to explore. He is not so sure about the sand though. He is okay walking on the grass but the sand is a little too uneven for him. By the way I finished New Moon and loved it. I wish Edward was in it a little more. But it was so good. Can't wait to read Eclipse! I think the weather is supposed to be yucky today so no park. Bummer. But my mom gets here Friday for a week so that will be so fun!

Happy Easter!

The night before.
Her sunglasses!

Wearing the glasses and checking out the eggs.

Bee movie.
Gabe putting all the eggs he could into his shirt.

We had a great Easter. The kids were so excited for the Easter bunny to come. Gabe and Sibley were up at 4 am until almost 5 and then they fell back asleep. I told them the Easter bunny had not come yet so they needed to go back to sleep. They were excited to come downstairs and find all the eggs hidden and their baskets. I love the picture of Sibley with her hands out when she discovered her pink sunglasses in the basket. Each kid got new summer shoes and Gabe also got Bee movie which we watched today and it was really cute. Sibley got her sunglasses and Jude got a cute pair of swim trunks. I didn't get a lot of good pictures. It seems the kids are just too excited to sit still. Jude hates his shoes but he will get used to them. He would bend over and put his hands on the floor and stick one foot in the air and whine. He really wanted them off. Church was good. Well, the kids were a little out of control. Not sure why. Maybe getting up early and not getting enough sleep combined with an overload of sugar! We had ham for dinner and it was just us but it was a fun and relaxing day.

Easter Egg Hunt!

We went to the Easter egg hunt in town today and the kids had a blast! We were almost late but we made it. Rob went with Sibley and I went with Gabe. If only we had two cameras! I guess Sibley just started running. Then Rob told her to pick up the eggs and she loved it. She kept telling me about it all day. And Gabe filled his Halloween bucket to the top. I let them use their Halloween buckets because their baskets are so shallow. The candy was an improvement from last year. Gabe was so excited about the airheads. They are so excited for the Easter bunny to come tonight! Happy Easter!

Cute Blogs

FYI the background I use if from http://cutestblogontheblock.blogspot.com It is great! They have lots of cute backgrounds and they add new ones depending on the holiday. Both of my sisters in law have them as backgrounds too and Marianne is the one that found it. Also, I know that pyzam I think erases all of your sidebar and this does not. Plus it is easy use so check it out.

Easter Eggs

The Eggs!
Red cheeks. Just woke from his nap.

So angry.

Love the eggs!

These are the pictures from dying Easter eggs. The kids had a blast. Gabe would not smile and declared he is no longer smiling for pictures. I am sure he was kidding. Sibley saw me kiss the egg I made for Rob and had to do the same. So much that her lips turned blue! By the way my eyes weren't closed. I was looking at the egg. But it looks very dramatic, doesn't it?!? Gabe had Star Wars and Sibley had some cute ones. We might do more on Saturday.
Yesterday was amazing out. I took the kids to the park and they had so much fun. Jude was content in his stroller for a while but then he wanted to explore. He was not happy on the sand. Realizing the difference in surface. He mostly walked around the sidewalk that surrounds the play ground. Can't wait for the weather to warm up even more so we can go to the park everyday!

Yesterday

We had a fun day yesterday. We are so desperate for spring around here it is getting hard to figure out fun things to do so the kids won't ask to watch tv. The blocks are a big hit. That is Gabe's masterpiece above. He had a whole city of things. I also brought Sibley's big trunk of dress-ups down and we played with that. She is really into flipping pancakes lately. I think she got it from the Eric Carle book we have Pancakes, Pancakes.
In other news Gabe has yet again lost another hat. This is his third hat this year! It was so cool too. It is a green Shrek hat. He is going to look around his classroom and I will look at the lost and found today when I pick him up. He is so funny. And little Jude slept well last night. I stayed up way to late. I am obsessed with Jon and Kate plus 8 on TLC. So I was up and he ate around 11 and didn't wake up until 6! That is so good for him. Now if I could just wean him! Okay, off to run. I have been avoiding it all morning.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Happy St. Patrick's Day! I made the kids green waffles and they loved them. Well, they love waffles in general so if they are green, even better. And they love to help make them. Sibley dumps in the mix. Gabe pours the water. And each get a turn to stir.
We went to Pocatello on Saturday and came back yesterday. I took my camera but of course didn't take one picture. Ugh! And it snowed there. So glad there was no snow here when we came home.
I think St. Patrick's Day is so fun. I wish we lived by Andra in Chicago and could go and see the green river. I am on the look out every year for a clever shirt for my brother Patrick. I have not found one. I need to just have one made that says, "Happy Me Day." Although he is no saint! No offense Pat!

Happy Hour!

I tried to find the new sonic commercial with the husband and wife and he wants the last word and she sips her drink and says, "mmm." I laugh every time. In honor of that commercial I went to Sonic and picked up a happy hour strawberry slushy for half price. Yummy.

BFF's and Bubbles

Sibley yelling at a plane.

Gabe showing off his Buzz Spaceship. And his worn out pants!

BUBBLES!

The weather has been so sunny and nice lately. Sunday afternoon I took Gabe and Sibley to the park down the road. They loved to be outside. Yesterday we got out the bubbles and the kids couldn't have been happier. Until Sibley hit Gabe with a toy and he came in and went up to his room because he was upset and she refused to come inside so she was screaming and crying at the top of her lungs outside for the world to hear. And then one of our neighbors came over to see what was up. And the first picture is what Gabe wrote to Rob. I thought it was so cute. Gabe is always saying how he and Rob and buddies. What a boy. Today I am in search of sandals or shoes for Jude. Probably sandals. I was going to get crocs but I don't know if they make them that small plus I am worried they might fall off. So I might just go to Target and get a pair of sandals. Better get on the treadmill and start my day!

Jude Skywalker

Gabe has really been getting into Star Wars lately. He is so funny. In his short 5 1/2 years of life he has gone through many phases. It started with Buzz Lightyear then onto Spiderman followed by Transformers. I can't keep up! Yesterday we got out the light sabers to let Gabe play and Jude loves it. You can tell in the video he feels so big with it. He will go and try to bop you on the head so watch out. In honor of Gabe's current phase we went and rented Stars Wars Episode 1 and we are watching it. I was never a big Star Wars fan but I am finding in my older age I am excited to rent them and watch them all with Gabe. I am still so confused and had to have Rob tell me that Anakin is Darth Vader not Luke Skywalker. Don't laugh, I am starting to get it. By the way I love my new layout. My sister in law Marianne did it for me. Oh and I have to tell this story. Last night we went to kinko's so Rob could have a few books bound and while that was being done we took the kids to a playland for 30 minutes to play and then we picked up the books. On our way home I saw the Krispy Kreme light on saying they were making hot, fresh doughnuts. So we thought it would be fun to stop so the kids could see how they are made and we could get a yummy hot doughnut. Fifteen minutes later Rob was in the car with a fussy Jude and I was still waiting for the doughnut with the other two kids. One worker said to the other, "paying customers first." And how there were only 2 working the front instead of 3. Mind you there were about 5 other people standing around in the back. And no joke it takes 5 seconds to hand someone a doughnut. And I would have paid if I knew it was going to be so complicated. Plus she finally handed me 2 doughnuts and I asked for one more for me of course and she was so snooty about it and asked if my whole party was there. I replied with yes, my two children and myself. Seriously, I would have just paid. But the kids loved seeing the doughnuts and eating them hot. I am sure that is something we will never do again though.

Brain Pizza!

Last night for dinner we made homemade pizza. Gabe and Sibley love helping in the process. The crust is made in my bread machine. But they like to roll out the dough and top their individual pizzas. Sibley was off in her room playing so last night just Gabe helped. After he rolled out his pizza he said it looked like a brain. We had a good laugh. He is so funny. One other funny thing he did was on Sunday. I was helping him get ready for church and he wanted to wear his blue shirt with his zip tie and I told him he looked so handsome. He exclaimed, "yes, I am the most handsomest boy in the universe!" I laughed. And he couldn't wait to show Rob his outfit so Rob could wear his blue shirt and they could match. So funny. He had to have his shoes and socks on, the whole ensemble. And today I am going to try and take the kids to the library. Only if Sibley is cooperating. My kids have been getting up so early lately. Usually if we put them down around 7 they wake up around 7. But they have been waking up at 6! And three times in the past week I will see the light on in Sibley's room and they are in there playing and have her room destroyed and it is only 5am! So who knows how long they were awake. I am hoping the daylight savings this weekend will help. Okay, off to eat breakfast.

Cinderella???

Taking a break from her chores!
Showing off the apron.

Sibley loves to help out around the house. Okay, maybe not all the time but she does show interest. She like to say the floor is dirty and take out the broom and walk around with it. Only in the kitchen of course, I hate when the broom gets on the carpet. And when I am folding laundry she likes to place the laundry in one big pile on my lap so I can fold it. And she also likes to grab a wipe and wipe down the tv, tables, furniture, anything really. And she is wearing an apron that my grandma made for my mom and my mom gave to me. I love it and so does Sibley. Or should I say Cinderella?

Creative Minds

Today the kids got creative. Gabe likes to take his Spiderman puzzle things and make the cube from transformers. Sibley was making me a building. She had a much bigger one but it fell before I got out the camera. She really likes to build. Future architect perhaps. This last picture I love. That is the lips she gives you for a kiss. I am so jealous of those babies. She is so cute!

Typical in Utah

I was laughing today when we received this in the mail today. On the front it reads, "Robert we have a truck with your name on it." And sure enough, Robert is on the license plate. Now listen, I am not meaning to sound like a snob or rude but people in Utah love their big trucks. It is actually a mystery to me how everyone affords a 50,000 dollar vehicle. Plus the price of living and such. So should we claim Robert's vehicle???
