Happy Birthday Cameron!

Cameron turned 6 years old yesterday, December 27th. He had a wonderful day. We had waffles for breakfast (Cam's favorite). Then he got to open his presents which included lots of Legos, a BYU jersey, and a new outfit. Cameron then got to have his friends, Brett and Ben over to play and build Legos. Then Cameron got to play the Wii 3 times and he usually only can play for 30 minutes. It's fun to have a birthday. Last of all, we had the missionaries over for homemade pizza and cake and ice cream. What a day! Happy Birthday Cam!

Merry Christmas

Christmas is such a magical day with young children. We had a wonderful day, which started early. Everyone was so excited and loved what they got. We are very blessed to have the things that we do. Thank you to everyone that helped make this a special day.

Nativity

Megan really wanted to be Mary for the Nativity and Annie was actually okay with it which was nice. Annie was a wiseman and the inn keeper. Cameron was a sheep and James was a cow. Mary was the baby Jesus, but wasn't feeling great and so Joseph (Eric) just had to hold her.

Christmas Eve Pajamas

On Christmas Eve, I got up and ran 13.1 miles (1/2 marathon) with my friend, Lisa. Then after we went over to their house (right around the corner) and had a yummy breakfast which included chocolate chip pancakes, eggs, cinnamon rolls, bacon, and fruit smoothie. After that we headed to the bowling alley for a game of bowling with a few other families from the ward. We stopped at Wendy's on the way home for lunch. Then the kids opened up their pj's from Grandma and Grandpa Christensen. They watched "The Mupppet Christmas Carol". At 5pm we headed to our friends, the Rogers house to have a delicious Thai dinner, milkshakes, and perform the Nativity. It was a wonderful day!

Megan turned green

Megan had made a Christmas tree out of an ice cream cone and green frosting at preschool. She asked if she could eat it when she came home and the next thing I knew this is what she looked like.

She couldn't just eat it she had to rub it and lick it and really enjoy it! Cameron told her that she looked like the Grinch, but she looks a little too sweet to be the grinch.

Mary and the Christmas Tree

Mary just learned how to roll over. She loves to move around. She loves the Christmas tree and presents and inches her way over there whenever I leave her on the floor. She is so proud of what she can do. She is the sweetest baby ever!

FHE at the Joseph Smith Farm

It is not every day that you get to have a Christmas Family Home Evening at the Joseph Smith Farm. There was caroling, stories, games, and delicious cinnamon rolls and hot chocolate. We had a great time.

The Garden Factory and Santa

On Saturday we went to the Garden Factory, which we have enjoyed going to the last 2 years. There is an incredible train display and lots of fun activities. We also get to see Santa. I didn't get a lot of pictures of Santa because the guy taking the pictures wanted all of us in the picture (the one that we weren't going to buy) I wish someone had taken it with our camera. Mary did get to sit on Santa's lap. It was a great family morning.

Mary at 3 months

I can't help letting everyone know how much I love this baby! She is so sweet and happy. We just can't get enough of her. It is hard to believe that she is already 3 months old. We love you Mary!!!

Thanksgiving

This year we decided to drive to Kalamazoo, Michigan to spend Thanksgiving with Eric's brother Mike and his family. Also Eric's parents flew into town. It was so much fun! We loved playing, hanging out, eating great food, running, bowling, etc. It was fun to see Mike and Liz's beautiful home. We really were not ready to come home when Sunday came.

On Friday we went on a hike at a Nature Preserve close to Mike and Liz's house. Grandma help the kids find sticks that could be bows and then helped them make them when they got home. They played Indians for the rest of the day and even put on a musical Indian play for us after dinner.

The Indians

Grandma Christensen is so creative and fun. She delivered the Indians their lunch in a sack on a stick and they got to eat outside.
