Cameron's Birthday

Our little (not so little) Cameron turned 1 year old yesterday. It was fun to be able to celebrate with cousins, aunts, uncles, grandma, and grandpa. We had a party after lunch consisting of Ring around the Rosie, Duck duck goose, and pin the ball on the hoop. Then Cameron opened up his presents. Then we had mac n' cheese, hot dogs, peas, and jello for dinner which Cameron loved. After that we had cake and ice cream. I think Cameron had a wonderful birthday. I am still having a hard time believe that it has already been a year. The time flies when your busy!

Jazz game

Eric and I got to go to the Jazz game on Tuesday night. It was a fun game to watch and great to be on a date! GO JAZZ!

Riding the Tractor with Grandpa

Annie has been talking about riding the tractor with Grandpa Andersen for a couple of months. She was very excited to get a turn driving it. Annie is going to have some very jealous friends when we get back to New York.

Cameron thought he was a big boy to get to go on the tractor too!

More pictures

Hanging out with Aunt Joelle! Annie just couldn't believe that she was really seeing Joelle when we first saw her. She kept saying, "Hi Joelle!" Over and over and over. She wants to do whatever Joelle is doing and so she had a hard time when Joelle was gone all day at school. She wanted to know where Joelle was. Fun times!

Baby Luke! Isn't he the cutest thing ever. This is Ben and Robbie's newest addition. He was born in October. That is the hard thing about living so far away, we miss seeing all of these new babies.

FHE Gingerbread house

Tonight for Family Home Evening we made a gingerbread house with Annie and Cameron's cousins Trey and Tyler and of course their Aunt Joelle. Everyone had so much fun putting the candy on.

Annie with her cousin Trey!

Don't you wish that was your house!

BYU Basketball

On Saturday Annie, Cameron, and I said good bye to Ralph and Teresa and went down to Provo with my parents and Joelle to do some shopping, eat at Cafe Rio, see Heather and her dorm room, and watch the BYU vs. Utah State game. It was fun to be back in Provo and especially the Marriot Center. Brings back a lot of memories. We loved getting to see the Cougars pull off a great win over the Aggies.

Lights on Temple Square

On Friday my parents and Joelle came down to Salt Lake to see the lights on temple square. I always love seeing the lights and the nativities. We ate at the Lion House and then had a wonderful time walking around temple square. Seeing all of the lights definately helped us get in the Christmas spirit. It is fun to be back in Utah and Idaho, but we miss Eric. He has one more final tomorrow morning and then he flies out at 5pm. Good luck!

Playing with Grandma Christensen

We are having such a good time in Utah with Grandma and Grandpa Christensen! Annie loves the playroom and the kitchen area under the stairs.
Dinner Party with Grandma, Yummy!

Cameron thought he was such a big boy to get to sit up at the table with Annie and Grandma.

Making a mess and loving it!

Annie and Calvin

Annie loves baby Calvin! Calvin is getting so big and has the cutest little smile. We are so glad that we got to Utah in time to see Liz and Calvin before they took off to Oregon

Cameron's new trick

Cameron is loving the stairs at Grandma's house! He goes up and then he thinks he can turn around and go down the same way. No fear! It is so different than Annie. It makes me a little nervous because he is so proud of himself that he starts bouncing up and down and claps for himself. What a cutie!!!

JOELLE

Joelle is definately the favorite aunt. I hate to break it to everyone else, but Annie loves Joelle. Who doesn't love Joelle! She is the sweetest girl in the whole world. Ever since Joelle (and Heather, Grandma, and Grandpa) came to visit this summer Annie has never stopped talking about her. She started out just calling her Jo, but now she even says the whole thing. It is cute!

There are a few things that have happened over the last couple of days that made me want to do this post. First, Annie loves to talk on the phone and she will now get the phone and say, "I want to call Joelle!" Second, we help Annie say the prayer, but she has just decided that she can say it by herself. The 1st thing she says in every prayer is "Thank you Joelle!" meaning thank you for Joelle. Then she thinks of other things to say, but that is always the first. Last of all, she has a baby that she calls Joelle. It is so cute to see her hold Joelle, kiss Joelle, and take Joelle for walks. It makes me laugh because the whole time she is using Joelle's name. "It's all right Joelle. Shhh Joelle. Wrap Joelle up mommy!"

I just wanted Joelle to know how much we love her! She is such a good example of love and kindness to everyone, but especially to all of her nieces and nephews. Thanks Joelle!

Slick Deals

Looking for a good deal? Check out www.slickdeals.net. It is a website where anyone can post the great deals they have come across and they also tell you the steps to getting the deal. Some are as easy as going to the stores website and others are a little bit harder with rebates and special check outs, but they are usually worth it. There are new postings every day and sometimes the deals only last a few hours or until the item is gone. Right now Lenox (if you are familar with that store) is having a great deal on the nice Alloy Serving Trays and Bowls. I think they would be a great wedding gift to stock up on or just for your own personnal use. They are usually between $80-$100 and they are selling for $10. Go to slick deals and then look at the postings from yesterday 12/6 if you are interested. A special thanks to my friend Dakin who is the deal queen!:)

Life is good!

Annie is the best mommy! She loves playing with her babies and takes very good care of them.

Cameron eating his first sucker. Yummy!

The cutest kids ever!

The weather finally feels like winter. This morning it was only 24 degrees when we went on our walk. Annie and Cameron are good sports to still go. It takes us almost as long to get bundled up for the walk as it does to go on our walk. Annie really likes wearing her snow pants and her shoe boots (snow boots)! Posted by Picasa

Rochester winter

I just wanted to let everyone know how bad Rochester winters are. When we decided to move here everyone would always tell us how long and cold the winters in Rochester are. "You never see the sun between the months of October and April." Today it is sunny and 68 degrees. We just came in from playing on the playground. I have to admit I am enjoying winter here. I like the snow, but there is no need to rush it. I hope everyone is enjoying their weather as much as we are.:)

More pictures from Thanksgiving

Alisa and Eric in front of O'Brien's a favorite place to get penny candy when they were kids. Now it is 2 pennies candy! It doesn't seem right. They loved picking out their $1's worth of candy though.

The Christensen clan in front of their home in Northborough. They have so many fun memories of when they lived there. It was fun to get a quick peek into a place they loved so much.

This is the pond that is behind their old house in Northborough. They would ice skate on this pond in the winter time. I have heard all about it and now I have seen it. It is such a beautiful place!

We loved meeting BABY CALVIN! He is adorable. Annie loved holding his hand and watching him get his bath. We love our cousins!

Thanksgiving in Boston

We had a wonderful time in Boston for Thanksgiving. We were there with Eric's sister Liz, her husband Travis, their new baby Calvin, Eric's parents, Ralph and Teresa, and Alisa another one of Eric's sisters. It was so nice to be with family for the holiday. We had a great time eating pie (6 pies for 7 adults, we all got our share), playing games (Carcassonne about 50 times), laughing, watching the BYU game (which was so exciting that we made Cameron cry), seeing Plymouth Rock and the Mayflower, Northborough, walking to the ocean (which was only a 20 minute walk from where they live) and of course we can't forget missed naps, crying kids, 7 hour car ride, the never ending cough and runny nose. It really was a great weekend! Thanks Liz!

We went to Plymouth and saw "the rock". It was fun to be there just after Thanksgiving.

Annie traveling in style. Isn't she cute!
