Good Bye Car, Hello Van

This week has been a very busy week in the automobile department. We have been looking around for a van for the last couple of weeks, but have not felt rushed because we just wanted to have a van by the time the baby comes in October. But, on Monday we had the opportunity to get our van for a great price and we liked it, which made it even better. We have now entered a new class of drivers. We are so excited and thankful for the tender mercies of the Lord.

We were planning on selling our car when we got a van because we don't need a 2nd car for the next 4 years. It was hard to say good bye to our Camry. It has been such a good car for us.
It was amazing how fast we were able to sell it! We posted it on Craigs List on Tuesday night and had sold it by Wednesday at lunch. It was nice because then we could transfer the license plates and registration to our van.

This is our van! It is a 2004 Ford Freestar.

Strawberry Picking at Gro-Moore Farms

Every week our ward has a Friday activity as an interest group in Relief Society. This week we went and picked strawberries and at a Gro-Moore Farms. There were rows and rows of strawberries ready to pick. It was hard not to keep picking because they were so beautiful and it was so much fun! Eric told me that I could get as many as a wanted as long as I was planning to make a strawberry pie. When we got home we made strawberry freezer jam and tomorrow we will make a pie. As for the rest of the strawberries we will just have to eat them and freeze them for smoothies. Yum! Yum!

Camping

On Friday and Saturday we went camping at Westcott Beach State Park. It was about 2 1/2 hours Northeast of Rochester on Lake Ontario. We went with our friends the Rogers (Danny, Mary, and Colby-who is Cameron's age). Danny is in the MD PhD program at the University of Rochester and is in charge of the activities this year. He planned the camping and white water rafting and they invited us to tag along.

Eric took a half day off on Friday and so we got to our campsite about 4pm. It was nice to be able get set up and enjoy the area before it got dark.

There were a lot of seagulls and Cameron spent a lot of time chasing after them and when he wasn't doing that he was trying to get a good look at the dog at the campsite across the street. He really likes animals!

Annie is a great bubble blower and she also likes to chase the bubbles and pop them. She loved camping and especially the tent.

By the end of the car ride Annie and Cameron were starting to be very silly. Here is a picture of them blowing kisses to each other!

Sunset and Fun pictures

The sunset was so beautiful over the lake. We walked down just in time to see it, but we didn't have our camera. By the time we ran and got it the sun was almost gone. The picture doesn't do it justice, but at least we have the memory!:)

We were so glad that Eric was able to grab onto the edge just in time. I thought he was a goner!

I'm a giant! Clever idea Eric.

Lake Ontario Beach and White Water Rafting

Our campsite was right by Lake Ontario. On Saturday morning Mary and I took the kids to the beach to play while the dads went white water rafting on the Black River about 20 minutes away.

Annie loved throwing rocks in the "ocean" and getting her toes a little wet.

Cameron was having a great time covering himself in sand. He also loved standing in the water and reaching down for rocks, he almost fell a couple of times which made it fun.

I thought this picture was so cute! Annie is so sweet to her baby, holding her just like a mother would. Then there is Cameron who looks too big for the stroller that we have him in. I love our kids!:)

Eric had a wonderful time rafting and said that the rapids were really good. His favorite part was when they would paddle backwards and go back in the rapids and surf. You can ask him about it. After they returned we met up with them for a yummy barbeque that the rafting place does.
We had a wonderful weekend and are so thankful that they Rogers invited us! Annie kept saying, "I don't want to go home, I want to go camping!" And Cameron has added the word camping to his list of words he says.

Moving

I just wanted to let all of you know that we are moving this summer. This might come as a surprise to many of you because you know we still have four more years here in Rochester and we love Whipple Park. That is why we are just moving down the street into a three bedroom townhome in the same complex. We are living in a two bedroom right now and we love the location and our neighbors, but with another baby coming and 4 more years we need an extra bedroom and the extra space. Change is always a good thing and it will give us a chance to clean out everything. Everyone will have to come and visit us in our new place!:)

Pony Tail

Today I put Annie's hair in a pony tail and I thought that it made her look so grown up and cute. Annie is just getting so much personality these days. I love it! Everyday I have new things to laugh about.

Annie is such a good little mommy. She always has a baby that she is taking care of. Babies are a lot of work, feeding, changing, napping, etc. It takes up a lot of her time.
