A day with Grandma and Grandpa

February 23-
Not only was today a super fun day with grandma and grandpa, but it was also grandpa's birthday.  And what better way to spend it than with his favorite grandson!
Kingston and I started off our day with a bowl of cereal.  He loves eating with a grown up spoon, but it is a little bit messy.

Then we wash the dishes and do some chores before we play.

We played lots of fun "Kingston games" which included listening to the Thomas the Train theme song at least 20 times, playing with cups in the bath tub, and hiding the remote to the lights (I still haven't found it).
Grandma and Grandpa were in the area and they happen to stop by during nap time.  We had lunch and visited until grandpa heard the first sign of Kingston waking up. Kingston was pretty excited that he had visitors!  Then, we were off to the aquarium.
I think we had more fun than Kingston!  He liked the fish at first, but then he became more interested in the kids around him than the exhibits.  Although, he did enjoy the puffins, especially when they splashed us.

After that, we cruised around town with G & G looking at houses and lots.  We ended up back at their place and after a little goofing around and packing, grandpa and Kingston took a nap.

We had dinner and then finally decided to call it a day and head home.  We took a bath, brushed our teeth, and went to bed.

When dad's away...

February 21-
...we take lots of pictures.  Jonathan is in McCall for a "boys weekend." Even though he has lots of fun with the guys, he still misses Kingston, so we send him lots of pictures.
These are just a few from Thursday and Friday evening.

Friend's Dinner

February 20-
We got together at Chris and Alyssa's house and had some fantastic lasagna. It is fun to get the kiddos together and see how much they are growing.  Kingston is 19 months, Molly is 16 months, and Elliot is 5 1/2 months. They still don't have a lot to do with each other unless someone has something that Kingston wants!  He did make himself right at home playing in the pantry.  And us adults managed to get in some chatting, too.

Big Als Birthday Celebration

February 18-
Another birthday celebration.  This time, Dad and Lindsay had to share the spotlight!  We all met at Big Als for dinner, bowling, and lots of fun.  We did the cosmic bowling and dad won, no surprise!  Kingston just wanted to roll the ball or else watch for the ball to come back on the ball return, but he always stuck his head a little too close to the opening for my comfort.  My mom ended up taking him upstairs to play on the games while we finished.  He absolutely loved all the games and lights and sounds.  We didn't even have to put money in, he just liked to sit in the cars and pretend to drive.  We finished the night with cupcakes, presents, and a few games.  Joel, Lindsay, dad, and mom played pac-man...I'm not sure who won.  Joel beat me at connect four and Dad beat us at skeet ball.  It was such a fun night with the family!  And Kingston had another sleep over with grandma and grandpa since grandma was watching him the next day.

Greta's 6th Birthday

February 13-
Greta celebrated her birthday at Chuck E Cheese.  It was our first time there and Kingston had a blast.  He was still a little sick, but he put on his party face.  I was surprised but he went right up to Chuck E Cheese and gave him a high five...I thought for sure he would be scared.  He had fun sitting in all the cars, but as soon as I put a token in and the car started moving, he would jump out.  He did have fun throwing the balls on one of the games, but ultimately he had the most fun putting the coins in the game!  And Greta was so generous with all her tokens and tickets.  She even gave Kingston a sucker at the end!

Valentine's Day

February 14-
I had envisioned decorating Kingston's room so that when he woke up in the morning he would be surprised with lights, balloons, and presents.  However, since he was sick and not feeling well, we were in and out of his room all night and I never got the decorations up. He still enjoyed opening his presents and he loves his new Thomas the Train book!
Jonathan surprised me at noon and brought me a slice of cheesecake.  It was red velvet and so delicious.  I was going to share it, but somehow I ended up eating it all!
After work, I got my hair cut while Jonathan picked up Kingston and made us dinner. It was so nice to walk in the door and not have to worry about what to make.  Although Kingston wasn't in the greatest mood, it was still a great evening to spend with my guys!

Breakfast out

February 10-
We generally don't go out for breakfast, but I had to go to St Lukes in Eagle in the morning so we thought we would make an activity out of it.
We ended up at the Wildwest Bakery and we had such a fun time.  Jonathan and I had breakfast while Kingston picked himself out a red heart sugar cookie.  I let him try my hot chocolate, but he wasn't a fan.  And before we left, we had to have another cookie because Jonathan and I needed one, too!
