Yet another picture of my cutie

Taking her baby to the store

So happy!

Has to ride Penny the Pony

At park with our friends. Rebekah loves Hannah!

I love Miss Sarah. Who has more fun than moms?

Reading time started again. We planted these flowers with Miss Brenda at the end of the reading time year. Rebekah was excited one bloomed just in time for the first meeting!

A small group but it was great. Rebekah actually sat with the group! She's growing up!

We live by a lake. Sometimes the fish get hungry and come up really close to shore.

Rebekah loves throwing rocks in the lake. I love watching her.

We've been working on writing. This is her favorite word to write. She loves her cousins!

Loves playing dress up

Really loves it. That's a swim suit on her head.

More fun with friends
She really doesn't fit into those swings any more....

Rebekah built herself this throne. Nice.

Mooreland Fair

In the attempt to do things as a family and discover more of this great state in which we live, a few Saturdays ago we found ourselves at the Mooreland County Fair. Don's coworker invited Don and he was more than happy to bring the whole family on this adventure.

I forgot sunscreen but Don's coworker's wife and a great umbrella for us to use.

We arrived in time to see the parade. The one thing Rebekah knew about a parade was that they threw candy. She got her first piece.

We sat on the side of the street. I didn't feel like we could use the umbrella because it might block the view of others behind us, so Don happily gave up his hat.

Happy girl.

There were some fun things too see - and some weird things too. This was a horse drawn hearse.

Don found his favorite car.

They kept throwing candy just a little out of Rebekah's reach and I was not willing to let her run out in the street and get it. Good news is she didn't want to either. But she still had her fill of candy. It was so hot! One float gave away popsicles. Another gave a water gun. I'm not too keen on guns but it was so hot, so....

Pretty soon the big trucks came by. One sat right in front of Rebekah and blew his horn. I've never seen that girl move so fast. After that and the fire trucks and so forth she was done. At one point she started tearing up, "when is it going to be done...?" We quickly left and headed over to the fair.

We walked around a bit, stopping to notice all the prize vegetables. Don swears that their biggest zucchini had nothing on one I had last year. Don talked me into buying some wild honey (I'm a honey fan). Then we realized it was really hot and the car had air conditioning so we headed there. On the way back the plan was to get a Pizza King Royal Feast Pizza and head to Frank's for dinner with mom and Frank. Oh, and the bunny (pictures courtesy of Rebekah). You pull a string and the bunny drives the bike forward.

Rebekah loves this bunny toy. Frank has had it for as long as we've been in Indiana. Frank's wouldn't be the same without it.

Then we headed home. About 10 minutes to our destination I look back and Rebekah was falling asleep. BAD! It was around 6 and way too late for a nap. So I put my seat back as far as I could, turned up Mama's and Papa's really loud and Don sang at the top of his lungs. We even broke into her parade candy to find a sucker. A few minutes later Rebekah caught her 2nd wind and we were back in business. But now I know the secret for a nap. Loud parades, county fairgrounds, hot sun, family pizza dinner and play time with bunny toy.

The Move

The day of the big move came. Mom had hired a truck to move "the big stuff" but was told all her big stuff was more than one truck could hold but they would put what they could in the truck. Rebekah introduced herself to all the movers (there were actually 3 guys, not 2) and found out their favorite colors. Someday soon I'll have to work on stranger danger more fully.

Rebekah and I left mom with the movers and went to the store for food. They we dropped off our groceries and went to swim. Don texted on our way home and said to come and meet them for lunch.

And what a lunch it was.
The picture was taken after Don cut off the what meat didn't fit in the bun.

Seriously - no way was I getting my mouth around this.

But, I came out triumphant. It was pretty good too. Apparently they serve a lot of them. Because of Walker, party of 5, they will change the number to 15,309. You're welcome, Anita's.

We made it back to mom's new house. This was what her garage looked like. Now remember - this was just "the big stuff."

Rebekah didn't want to go through the crazy garage so she aimed for the front door. Safe bet.

Inside much had changed. Mom had the entire house painted white - eggshell that is - and had a professional clean the carpets. Much better.

Grandma's room

"Wait... where's my bed going to be, grandma...?"

Don played handyman. He did very well.

Very well indeed.

Rebekah and I played peek-a-boo

Then she photographed her feet. So cute I could just eat them!

Soon mom and Don were done so Rebekah decided it was her turn to help. First she insisted on making grandma's bed. Then she insisted on trying it out.

She sure loves her grandma!

A few days later we came by just to make sure grandma's stuff was still there. And it was. Complete with a loving grandma to read to her.

Who Has More Fun...

...then a mama with a snuggly little girl?

She wanted to start with just a normal picture,

but we quickly moved on the special effects. There was love struck...

thermal,

dizzy,

I think this one was bug out,

She had to revisit the thermal with angry face,

And thinking face.

Then we struck a pose for pop art.

The mirror is always fun to end with.

Sure love to play camera with my happy little girl!
