2nd Month

One Month Old!
(on the 15th of December she was 11 pounds, 4 ounces and 22 inches long)

5 Weeks Old

Six Weeks

Seven Weeks

Eight Weeks!

A few things she learned:
How to hold her head up.
How her little hands can grab hold of mama's hair.
Tummy time is not nearly as fun as she once thought.
Her hand taste REALLY good.
Sleeping through the night is fun!  (Her record is 9 hours 17 minutes.  Boy, she was HUNGRY when she got up....)

Also, about a week ago I felt her clothes were fitting too tight - especially length wise (yeah, no rolling up pant legs for her - that's one thing about being a Stirland she may never experience) so I got out the 3 - 6 month clothes.  It was hard to say goodbye to her little pj's.  I'm such a sappy mama....

Yes, I Took This Picture....

I'm usually the photographer in the family, therefor I don't have too many pictures of me and Rebekah.  So, here's my attempt.  Rebekah turned out to have an adorable smile, but I only got half her face.  Very sad.  The one handed - camera facing you - picture is definitely an art form I must practice....

Cuddle Me Please

Don't you want to crawl into the computer and cuddle this little girl?

If that's not enough, try to resist this:

So photogenic.  She gets that from her daddy....

Indiana Pride

Today was our first Sunday back at church since the last week in October.  The big question was what will little Rebekah wear?  Mom Walker bought her this little Indiana dress.  What better way to make her debut than to show off her daddy's hometown pride?  Saturday afternoon I suggested to Don that we put her in the Indiana outfit.  He informed me that Indiana Hoosiers were playing Notre Dame Fighting Irish that evening, and if they win, she can wear the outfit.

They did.  69 - 58.  Yay!

Here's the really quick - less formal then I would have liked - picture.

(Getting her and me ready for church took more time than I had anticipated.  So, no picture before church.  During the ride home she fell asleep in her car seat, so we let her sleep.  Unfortunately she was a little grumpy gus when she got up, and seeing that I wanted to change her before I fed her, there was little time.  On the count of three, we strategically turned her out to face the camera and Don snapped the picture.)

GO Hoosiers!

Snapshot Moments

(With explanation by Rebekah WillaMay)

Here's me in my first tub.
When I'm older I'll have some words with mama for posting this one...

After a bath wearing nothing but Aunt Diane's towel she got for me...

More Daddy Daughter time.
Love my daddy.  He's a keeper.  We have good times.
Just ask him to sing "Take me out to the Ball Game" for you.  It's FANTASTIC!

Dreaming about fishing
"I once caught a fish THIS BIG...."

Trying to tell mama how to better dress me...

My first Grandma Stirland snuggle

First time I realize Grandma Stirland is a little crazy...

Here's me trying to sleep and mama had the kitchen light on....
It was toooo bright.
Must I take care of EVERYTHING???

Mama thinks I'm napping, but really I am practicing my pacifier balancing technique.

Me and Mama singing together

And finally, the chair.
Mama thought grandma Stirland bought this chair for her, but when grandma came to visit she informed mama that the chair was for me.  Glad we finally got that settled....

Four Weeks Old

After Rebekah was born my sister in law mentioned she knew someone that took a picture of their child every day to mark their growth.  Cool idea, but I didn't think I'd be able to do an every day thing.  So, I thought I'd try an every week thing.  Hopefully, when Rebekah's older, she'll appreciate it.  Or, maybe she'll just appreciate that her mom was trying to do something nice and be more apt to forgive me for all the mistakes i will be making... either way, here it is:
