Shopping with Mama

One Saturday mama decided she would try and go to the grocery store with me.  She was nervous about what to do with me - you know, does she put me in the shopping cart?  does she carry me in the Bjorn? If she carries me how does she reach things on the top or bottom shelf?  Silly mama.

(I once heard daddy tell mama that he use to think HE worried a lot, but that was before he met mama.)

But back to the store.  I wonder what it will be like?

It was gonna be so much fun!

Daddy drove us.

Here's the store

Daddy wanted a picture

He met up with us right before we checked out.
He wanted another picture.

And another picture...

and another.... (silly daddy)

It was exhausting....
Let's do it again soon!

Playtime

What should I do today...

I think I'll start with my floor toys...

Then mama will take me on a walk and I'll fall asleep.

Then my jumper....

Followed by more floor toys...

Then mama will feed me and I'll fall asleep.

Then my exersaucer...

Followed by my floor mat and tummy time with Mr. Lion...

Then maybe daddy will feed me and I'll fall asleep.

Sounds like a plan to me.

4th Month

3 Months Old!

We have had some issues with feeding Rebekah.  We were told she was allergic to milk protein and were given some new formula that we tried.  Rebekah was a trouper but in the end her stomach couldn't handle it.  We decided to try soy.  However, soy makes her diapers very difficult.  The doctor suggested giving her sugar water, which I hate doing and I think it upsets her tummy, but it does help.  On the bright side, she is sleeping better.  I can actually lay her down for naps.

A few of her triumphs:

She is beginning to grab things: toys with both hands, pant legs, mama's hair, etc.
She is beginning to roll side to side and has rolled over a few times.
She loves to look at the baby in the mirror - she will lay on our bed and stare into the mirror on the dresser for minutes at a time.
She has learned how the horsey rattle works, so now days I keep hearing stretch, rattle rattle rattle... stretch, rattle, rattle, rattle....
She loves to stand while being supported.  She likes to sit and is learning to sit up on her own.

All in all, she is a wonderful little girl.  We are blessed to have her.  I love it when she reaches up and touches my face.  Every day she is interacting more and more.  Even with the crying episodes and the 3 am feedings, I can't wait for each moment.
