Thanksgiving Holiday in the Sand

Another Thanksgiving in one of our favorite places.
It was a special one with camping with Casey's brothers for the very first time!
Not sure how this hasn't ever happened before.

We were also at Glamis for the first time.
A whole different experience than Gordons Well.

I personally don't love the camping area at Glamis.
Its way more crowded and dusty.

But the riding is better??
I don't see a difference, lol!
But then again, I am always the passenger.
And my opinion doesn't matter.

The moms sent the dads on a long ride with the kids
while we cooked Thanksgiving dinner in our trailers.

I love that they came back with pictures, not even asked by us!

A picture with the 3 brotheres?!
Pretty sure we have Jesse's girls to thank for this!

Nothing like a Thanksgiving feast in a cargo trailer!
I love that these will be our children's core memories when they get older.
They all look forward to this trip so much!

HAPPY SANDSGIVING!

Every year we seem to get fixated on a game we
play over and over every night.

This year was someone in the middle, blindfolded.
They point at a person, and state an animal or noise you have to
make while they guess who it its.

I HATE IT SO MUCH, lol!
Talk about STRESS when you get pointed at!

Our dining hall and activity center trailer...

Sand sledding!
Nothing like clearing through a massive bush or
body surfing the last portion!
These hooligans.

Got sand?

Then Rusty and Lane were having an air catching contest.

Sup, November

The girls are still easing into sports.
They definitely cant use the name Sporty Spice quite yet.
Scary and Posh, sure.
LOL.

Della giving volleyball a whirl.
She has a long ways if she wants this to be her thing,
but it was fun for a try!

LBH, it was more to hang with her bestie, Scarlet.

Rusty got recruited to play on a Fall team by his school baseball coach.
We were warned it was a team that hadn't played together.

It showed, but was good practice before the normal season started.

Getting used to chilly nights again!
Pizza delivery to the parks between the games.

We switched danced studios!
Long story short:
After tryouts, Lindi's group dwindled to about 2 dancers.
We didn't love the options they gave us, so we bounced.

Hoping the change is a good one!
So far, so good.

Our first performance was at the Gilbert Days parade.
Not going to lie, I wasn't super excited about it.

Parades mean early wake up calls and crowds.
Plus it was cold.

I ran and grabbed breakfast burritos to eat on the fly.
You can see Della holding hers, ha!
Also helped keep her warm:)

My niece, Peyton, got married!
The girls were so cute, watching intently as they had their first dance.

Lindi has not had the best luck with her earrings.
She got them re pierced with Della.

Then that night one of the fell out and half closed up!
We let it close all the way and up and took her back just for the one side.
Third times the charm!

Tithing declaration with our favorite bishop!
He always comes up with the best themes.

This year he felt prompted in sharing how tithing can open the
windows of heaven to you.

He made cookie dough (win-"dough")
with a scripture and message about this to each family that
signed up to see him.

J

Jane had her baby blessing.
The 2 bookends of cousins, Lane and Jane.

Primary presentation, and it was Lindi's LAST!
She doesn't seem excited at all about that.

I officially have an ADULT CHILD!!
Woah, is that trippy.

Happy 18th birthday to Lane.
He wanted snowboarding gear, so that was easy enough.

He tolerated pictures and dinner with the family when we
knew he was excited to meet up with friends afterwards.

I got a kick out of his friends shout out posts from instagram.
We all love him so much!

Then Rusty had a birthday the following week.
15 years of our sweet Rusty boy.

And somehow this is the only picture I have to show of it?!!
I am sorry, Rusty.
Your birthday always falls right when we are loading up the trailer for
our big Thanksgiving trip.
