Lots of random things I found on my camera roll during March.
One night we got together for some pampering while we watched the Bachelor.
Bethany has ALL of the health and wellness things.
Seeing how she has started up her own little company, this makes sense!
Major bonus to all of us who benefited from the good stuff at her house!
Pick your friends wisely, wink.
We had a rotation of red lights, ionic foot baths, sauna, face masks, micro current facials,
chi swing.
We got the works that night!
We had an unplanned play date with the Heywood cousins!
Valerie text one Saturday morning wondering of the girls could come play.
Somehow Rusty also ended up over there.
After a few hours I picked up my kids, plus hers for some more fun!
Plan A didn't work out to go hot tubbing, so plan B ended up just as entertaining.
The weather was superb and they entertained themselves for hours on the driveway
at my parents house!
It was a crack up watching them try to figure out the groove of a baseball game.
Casey and I got to participate in our friend Brianna's baptism!
She has been investigating the church for about a year.
She no doubt had her fair share of struggles
to get her to this point.
Her perseverance and faith is astounding and her big day finally came!
She is truly a light of Christ and I was so happy for her to
become a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
She asked me to speak on baptism, and Casey was the one who baptized her.
I love new member baptisms!
The spirit was strong and the room was FULL of so many people who have
grown to love her so much.
I have never seen so many elders and sisters come in support of Brianna!
They all knew her, or at least had heard of how amazing she is.
Even President Stapleton and his wife, who are the new mission presidents came in support.
Each sister who had the privilege to teach her.
Sis Hawkins, Stratton, Green, Hale and Critchfield.
We get to know the sisters pretty well as they come to our
home each week to meet with bishop:)
There was a little luncheon afterwards
AND, a surprise performance!
This elder is from Nashville.
The older man next to him lives in the area.
He is in the music industry and likes to have missionaries (that like to sing) record in his
studio. This particular elder was SO AMAZING!
You could tell he is taking a break from becoming a musician to serve a mission.
He performed a few songs that he personally wrote while on his mission.
Our kids personal favorite was a song called Throw It Away.
It was so catchy!
He would sing one song, then we would demand him to sing another!
Almost like it came from a modern, pop EFY soundtrack.
I hope he makes it big one day!
Weeds.
So many weeds.
The rain had been lovely, but it sure makes for a lot of yard work!
Our good friends down the street, the Cotters, were leaving on a mission to London!
We are excited for them because they will be AMAZING missionaries, but selfishly
will miss them tons!
If you know Judy, you know she can't sit still longer than a minute.
They are travel guru's and have gone all over the world!
Plus with balancing their big family, and church responsibilities I don't know how they
even have time to sleep!
I was talking to her one day a couple of weeks before their departure and had the
impression to do a goodbye lunch for her.
I quickly was trying to swat the idea away because I am pretty sure she had
ZERO time in her busy than busier schedule.
As she was explaining the demanding list she had of trying to pack up and organize
their house (they are airbnb-ing it while they are gone) I asked if she could squeeze in
one last hoorah and come to a luncheon at my house, ha!
I felt so bad, but what do you know, she figured out a time to make it work!
I told her I would keep it small.
Which was difficult to do!
She has made such an impact on so many people!
I didn't tell her that I had invited some OG ward girls who had long moved out
but were still a big part of her life. And theirs!
It was a sweet reunion!
There were tears and laughter.
I loved watching the expression on her face as they walked in and
surprised her big time!
I know what a huge sacrifice it was for her.
I know a few of those ladies really needed that connection of visiting and time together.
If she knew it or not, she allowed that to happen when she easily could have
said she was too busy.
She is such a blessing and we will miss her!
(Judy is in the yellow jumpsuit)
My treasures after parent teacher conferences.
Her drawings are my favorite!
Rusty played on his schools flag football team!
The seasons are fast, only being 3 weeks long.
He loved every minute of it!
The full moon was crazy!
I stood outside and watch it rise from the top of the tree to
high in the sky in a couple of minutes.
The whole street was lit up more than usual.
Della had her Kindergarten field trip to the ZOO!
Our last one at that.
Since she is my baby, I got to ride ON the school bus for the first time ever!
Her class is the cutest.
As well was this brand new baby flamingo!
The zoo is always a whirlwind, but it was a fun time!
The second I stepped off the bus I walked over to the field to catch Lindi at the
start line getting ready to run the relay race!
It was perfect timing, I was worried I would miss it!
Miche next door is our Young Womens president.
She is having family history classes for all the youth every week
for a couple of months.
Her sign cracked me up!
I love humor, it makes everything better!
Birthday signs for Amber that is on her mission.
When you turn 41 and you hate attention you get
1 bad picture of you on your birthday!
Sheesh, he is worse than the kids when it comes to pictures!
He said it was a good day.
No presents or attention, and ice cream.
Just how he likes it.
I have become a frequent customer at Nekter!
I have been trying to figure out my role in Casey's church calling.
I know there is not anything in the "rule book", or any requirements for that matter.
But I want to be an extension of him somehow, someway.
I had been prayerful and not much was coming, except show love.
I wasn't exactly sure how I should do that.
I tried a few different things until one seemed to work the best!
Once a week I simply go to Nekter and order 2 acai bowls.
One for me, and one for somebody else in the ward.
While I wait for the order to be made, I text the person wondering if they are
home and that I had a treat I would like to drop off to them.
Oddly enough, not one person has said that they were not available.
I am always answered back with yes, that would be wonderful!
Which I respond, I'll see you soon!
I bring mine up with me to the door.
I don't expect them to invite me in, but take their lead.
Sometimes I get an invite inside where we eat and chat.
Sometimes we just chat at the door.
Either way I always leave feeling extra grateful for that person!
I love my "acai" soon days!
Oh Jeanette, my twinnie for stake conference!
