What's Up, June!

It was a happening month!
I feel like we are outside more in the Summer
than any other time of the year.
Gimme all the pool and sun time!

We enjoyed a day at SunSplash!

Scarlett got baptized!

Stephanie and I both spoke together about the covenants we
make at baptism, and receiving the Holy Ghost.

Do you like our baptism by fire and water outfits?!

Grandpa got a boat!
We had fun bouncing back and forth between our boat and his.

Rusty's very first paycheck!
He's been working with Bro Allen in our ward setting up
new desks and tables at different schools.

When you are the bishops wife you get to teach the priests how to make bread!
I wasn't sure if it would grasp their attention, but I was surprised how much
they got into it!

I think they passed!

I cleaned out the girls room.
Pack rats I tell ya!

They could run their own Dollar Store out of  there.
I don't ever remember the boys receiving or
hoarding pure crap like they can accumulate.

The girls had their end of the year dance recital.
Hallelujah.
I definitely have a love/hate relationship with dance.
It's fun until it runs your life and bank account.

Example A
These sweet tutu costumes were adorable until I realized I paid $$ for one performance!!
Oi!
Black leotard with pink tights would have sufficed JUST fine, lol!

They had the best cheering section!

We babysat Daisy the dog.
Rusty always being a trooper to take her on long, hot walks.

They think its the best when dad jumps in the pool with them.
I'm sure they started timing it perfectly for when he would get
home from work.

Lots of lake trips.
She is turning into a pretty good boat girl.
It's been a slow process.
Hopefully next year she will want to get in the water more!

The epitome of a 2023 Summer teenager.
Fast food and Prime!

The time I dropped our life savings on pretzels and cheese at the mall.
When the girl told me our total I shockingly said, SERIOUSLY?

The crazy thing is that there was a long line of people for them.
I almost walked by and asked them, do you know how much these cost?
Get out while you can!
If I would have known or checked the prices before ordering, we
would have been at Cheesecake Factory for the same price!

Brodie, our neighbor, left on his mission to Brazil!
It seems like yesterday they were all playing football in the streets barefoot.

I ended the month with a bang by pretending to be
a professional wedding caterer!

My friends daughter was getting married.
I was sticker shocked to hear how much a very basic wedding runs these days.

I told her I would do the food.
 How hard could it be?
I come from a big family and know a thing or two about cooking for the masses.

It ended up being lots of fun!
I would never want to do it for a living, but I love to help people.
Especially when it saves them $6,000 (no flipping joke).
I also had lots of help from other ward ladies willing to wash, chop, bag, boil noodles,
bag things up and such.
Team work makes the dream work!

I did all of the shopping at Restaurant Depot and Sams Club.
And thankfully my parents were out of town and
have an overabundance of freezers and fridges to help store things.

I had to laugh driving home from clipping eucalyptus branches from
my other friends house for greenery.
It looked like we chopped down her whole tree!

I don't have a ton of pictures.
I was too busy running around with my head chopped off.
Now I get why in the movies wedding coordinators communicate
through fancy headsets (que Franck from Father of the Bride!).
The food table before we set everything out.

We served smoked pork sliders, homemade mac n cheese,
veggie stick cups with ranch, and fruit.
There were 4 different flavors of fresh lemonade.
For dessert there was assorted cookies, brownies and bars
And the cutest station to get Thrifty ice cream or popsicles!

It looks empty, but they shewed everyone out the door to get ready for their exit.
While they handed out sparklers, the bride and groom got
one last dance together alone.

I didn't realize this so I came running out of the kitchen to grab something,
then slowly tiptoed backwards to where a came from.
Nothing like me to ruin the moment!

Branson- Day 5 & 6

Another lake day!

I live my best life on any lake, as you can see:)

Pizza delivery for the win again!

They looked so grumpy and miserable on our way to dinner!
Those poor sunburned and tired eyes.
They sure knew how to squeeze in every bit of fun during the day.

Our last show at the Hughes theater again.
This time it was the original brothers putting on the show.

These 2 were BEGGING for a sparkle hat at intermission.
I was definitely not the softy who bought them.
Not sure how Casey caved into those, but I was shocked to see them on their
heads when I came back from buying fudge!
I am a sucker and will fork out the money for food  though, lol!

Last walk to Andy's for ice cream.

Sunday breakfast!

We had to have a Lindblom staple.
We thank Grandmother for our love for biscuits and gravy.

Loved this ginormous flag on the way to church.

I think the kids were out of their church clothes before we made it back to the cars!
We stopped for some Parlor Donuts then went to the Landing to look around.
I had heard they have a cool water show by the water front.
The makers of the water show at the Bellagio in Vegas built this one as well.

Waiting patiently for it to start.

Casey scoring a massage.

Tanner really wanted to match Della's shoes.
I guess they found some in a shop while walking through the Landing and
now they are twinning!

The extent of the "amazing' water show.
Womp, womp.
I guess they put all of their resources into sin city, not country town.

We had a good chuckle over the mediocre sprays.

We walked through downtown and grabbed some Linner (lunch/dinner).

And paid homage to Trump at his store!
Sending all the good vibes his way this election year!

We went back to the house to pack up and saw that our flight got bumped
from 9pm to midnight.
I booked our house one extra night knowing we would have a late flight out
and didn't want to leave luggage in our cars all day since normal check out is 11am.
Super glad I did that, and was well worth the money with the extra 3 hours we now had!

And gave us a chance to eat up more of the left over food:)

And get our energy out on the courts!

I hope to visit you again, Branson!
You still have places I need to see.
Summer or Winter, you are wonderful place year round.
