Saturday Morning Car Washings

Hi fans.
Preston here.
This is MY hose.
I wash cars with my fans.
These are my fans.
I only help when I want to.
But I must always remind them...
This is MY hose.
Sometimes they forget...
This is MY hose.
I have to remind them.
Loudly.
They have short memories.
Working on that...

A Weeeeeek of Feeeeeet.

Britton and I took to the mountain early today.
One our way down tragedy struck.
His good ankle!
He rolls with skill and precision.
Years of practice.
One hour of ice bucket to frozen berries, ice bucket to frozen berries, etc.
and a nice helping of Ibuprofen to help with swelling.
He hobbled off to work.
Poor guy.

Aubrey.
Cross Country.
Saturday's X-RAY.
No break, just great pain.
She too is on the ice and Ibuprofen rotation.
She still insisted on running with the group this morning.
Tough cookie...

While one walks (see previous post), two go down.

Hazing

The week before school started
we overheard many secret conversations between the brothers.

While preparing backpacks...

Benton:  "Max, did you pack your helmet?"
Max:   "No, why?"
Benton:  "You have to wear a helmet on the bus.  All the Kindergartners do."
Max:  "Oh.... (confused look)...."

Dad:  "Benton!!"

Benton:  Hysterical giggling.

Did you know?

Random useless knowledge...
Did you know that you should use a plastic disposable knife when cutting brownies?
Metal knives rip the brownies apart.
The brownie won't stick to the plastic giving you nice edges.

Knowledge Learned:
While trying to cut two large tray of brownies
at a the Worthen Family Reunion,
Jessica presented the idea.
It worked.
Like a charm.

First Day Update

While getting ready for bed tonight...

Max:  "I have to hurry and get to bed."
Mom:  "Why, are you tired?"
Max:  "No, because the faster I get to sleep the faster I get to go back to Kindergarten."

Well done Mrs. Willis.
The magic begins again.

You could hear a pin drop

My house is so quiet.
The four older ones are off to school.
Preston is asleep.
What to do, what to do...

Our Kindergartner...

Family Reunion

A few highlights from a fun week spent in Washington...
Baby Einstein in action.
Preston's is a huge fan of Baby Bach,
or "Baby Bachee" as Max calls it.

Grami Pami's 60th Birthday morning.
The Original Five...
Britton.Whitney.(Grami).Jessica.Megan.Anna

Britton and I did a Shrimp Boil one night for dinner.
Turned out fun, if I do say so myself.
Food just scattered all down the table.
Messy.
Crab.Shrimp.Corn.Sausage.Carrots.Onions
all boiled together cajun style.
Yum!

Hours burned on this trampoline.
The same trampoline that was loved by Britton and siblings growing up.

The Casellos.
Mario and Britton have been dear friends forever.
Mario was a groomsman in our wedding.
They haven't seen each other in probably ten years.
So fun to get caught up...

Memory Lane.
Britton took us to his old stomping grounds.
All of his schools have either been torn down and rebuilt or nice new additions have been added.

Waterslides at Great Wolf Lodge.

We had, oh I mean we got, to go to Britton's favorite seafood spot.

Talent Show highlights:
"Beyonce and her Single Babies"
"Synchronized Swimming"
"West Side Daddy"
"Harry Potter Puppet Pals"
"Here's the story..."
"Just Like Nephi"

I don't have a single group shot of the 26 of us.
We took professional photos and I am relying on those to document the group.
(Bad idea, I know.)

It was great to see all.
We came home exhausted.

Good times.
