One last visit before their mission to England.

I got a call from Tressa's teacher one Friday afternoon. She told me that Tressa had been complaining that things were "blurry." I had already been at the school earlier that morning to pick up Whitney, who was sick, so I thought T was just getting sick and not feeling well. So over the next few weeks we'd jokingly ask Tressa "how many fingers am I holding up?" and tease her about faking it. Finally, I decided to take advantage of our vision benefit and get all our eyes checked out. Well, 4 out of the 5 of us needed glasses!!! Kalvin, Tressa, Whitney and I are the proud owners of some new specs. Cassidy escaped with perfect vision. Hmmmm.

Cassidy begged to go to our favorite restaurant, Souplantation (or Sweet Tomatoes, as it is known here in the midwest) for her birthday dinner. That meant hauling the family across the state line almost 2 hours away. But boy was it worth it!

I got to join Cassidy's class on their field trip to learn about Wisconsin history and lumberjacks.  Good times.

Tressa was a Daisy Scout this year. Honestly, she was a bad Daisy Scout - we missed most of the meetings because I forgot about them, I wouldn't let her sell any cookies door to door, and I never got her patches sewed on. Ok, I realize it was all my fault! But, I did let her stand outside of the grocery store and hawk a few boxes of cookies to the customers.

Tressa had to make a "mailbox" to collect her class valentines in, and Kalvin helped her. Her mailbox was super popular at school - everyone wanted to see Rapunzel inside. I got pretty flowers, and Kalvin got a decorative pillow made by yours truly.

A couple of date nights ago, Kalvin took me to see one of his favorite bands - the English Beat.

We had more fun taking pictures of ourselves and the theatre. It was a lot of fun. :)

First came Kalvin's bday, then Brynn's, then our beautiful NEW teenager Whitney (13).

This cute girl celebrated her 7th bday on January 29th. Mom picked her up from school and took her to lunch at Costco (I know - I can't believe it either!) and she picked out her bday cake too.
