The End-of-Everything Month

May 2012.  The end of May is always exhilarating.  Soccer ends; dance performances are finished, school class performances - oh, how I love thee; and we are free from school.  This May, I was also freed from... the MexiStache:
Now, I encouraged this.  I liked it at first.  After a month of it, I could hardly wait to take the picture of Jeff with his brother Mark so we could erase this chapter in our lives, I mean off our faces.  And this was not a randomly goofy picture.  Every single one was like this... 27 total.

Since I took Miranda when she was in 5th grade, Jeff took Carlie to perform at the Marriott Center for Hope of America.  All the 5th grade classes in Northern Utah County come together to perform patriotic songs & honor people who fight & live for our freedoms.  It's an amazing night and for me, very moving.  But everything is very moving to me, so I'm not a very reliable litmus test for "moving."

May was filled with things like playing with cousins.  Kira (I like that one of my children is aware where the camera is, and orients herself toward it.  That would be Miss Halle)

And Levie cousins Denny, Paul, Jake (You like the mid-air green football?  I love these shots)

And Esther

The end of Band Season for Miranda and the saxophone

And dance season for this school year

May had Pinewood Derby - With the coolest Superman car that actually won most of its races

May had FHE's that were epic

End of the breakdancing season

The Music/Dance/Theater season for Miss Carlie

And the ballet season (Halle)
Like the sandals?  I didn't even realize she was still wearing them for dress rehearsal...
and neither did a single teacher, so I don't feel too bad.

Little Kierste.  This is the part in the dance when all the butterflies land by the plant and get
handfuls of glitter confetti to throw up in the air.
Since she was buzzing around really early, she realized right away
that the glitter hadn't been put in there for dress rehearsal...
so she's done with that portion of the dance, presenting herself to the audience.  =)

So Halle in sandals for rehearsal, and Kierste IN WINTER BOOTS for performance.  Nice!!

We also bid a fond farewell (you know how much I love it) to SOCCER.  The Orange Crushes

The Silver Knights (Morgan is wearing the goalie shirt, otherwise he'd be "silver" too)

And the Green Dragons.  Derek & Dylan are inseparable.  I just love his whole family, too.

Have to document this end of the year project on Connecticut.  I worked so hard on it because Carlie was busy with so many other things.  =)

And our dancer!!!

And summer started splendidly
