Our Favourite Things

Precious and Disc and Making Snow Angels

Off leash adventures, peeps on my timetable

Watching my Lady as she is working

These are a few of my favourite things.

Sleeping by fires and on Lady's legs

Dinner on time when I don't have to beg

Cookies for free that don't come with trick strings

These are a few of my favourite things.

When the treat's done

When the peeps leave

When we're feeling sad.

We simply remember our favourite things

And then we don't feel so bad!

Tunnel Time!

The Man brought out the tunnel recently and some of us had fun playing in it. For others, it was more traumatic!

Lee: Go in and come out and get a cookie

Phod: I can walk around to get the cookies.

Lee: Came out the side Man wants, got a cookie

Phod: I am sitting near my Lady and the tunnel, can I have a cookie?

Phod: The openings are all gone, I think I should still get a cookie.

Phod: Going over the tunnel gets you a cookie, right?

Phod: The Man is trying to make me go in, I don't like cookies that much!

Phod: Hailey's a show off.
Lee: I went through, I get the cookie

ISO-lympics

Thanks to our pals Roxy, Bella and Dui for organizing the Blogville ISO-lympics.  Here we can show off our great skills while staying in isolation.

We have each decided to enter 2 competitions.

Phod is up first.

The first event - yard angels. Whether it be snow or grass, Phod is a gold medalist at making yard angels!

Using the face first, he makes sure his whole body has contact with the ground

The rubbing of the back is the most important part

That smile shows he knows he nailed it!

Phod's second event and favourite competition is fetch! While Precious is his favourite, he thought he would enter using a disc to show off the diversity of his fetching abilities!

Great job Phod! In spite of the obstacles, grass to snow, he was able to successfully capture the disc (not pictured due to camera person failure, not his!)!

Now on to Hailey's events.

Up first, eating. Be it meal time or treat time, Hailey can eat and eat and eat. She is always willing to take extra food off the people's hands or plates!

Look at the concentration as she gently takes the treat

Hailey's second event is supervising. This has been of vital importance the past month as the people have been stuck at home. Without her great supervising, they may not have created such a schedule. We have seen reports that those who don't have a routine will suffer more during this time. Thanks to her gold medal work, her peeps are both happy, healthy and productive.

👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Congratulations to both Hailey and Phod for their excellent performances today.
We wish all the competitors the best at showing off their skills.

Mischief Monday - We Are Not Amused

Our human cousins left balloons they got at the grocery store. Man thought it would be funny to turn these into pup torture machines.

Phod was up first . . . .
Why are you doing this?

Lady save me! (sorry it is blurry but he was moving and it is funny!)

Help!
Lee was up next. She was silent rage.

WTF?

This is ridiculous

What is this thing?

Call me all you want, I am just standing here

Have you had enough fun yet?

The dogs did not enjoy it, but the people sure had a good laugh!

Happy Autumn Equinox!

Creepy!

When I was going through my fall pictures of the pups, this one jumped out at me. I wasn't sure what to do with it, but thought given how creepy Phod looks, it would be perfect for our week of fall and Halloween!

Saturday Outdoor Fun by Zaphod

Friends, as we are sure you all have already heard, Easy's Dad had a horrible accident and his family could use some POTP. You can leave comments/check for updates at Easy's Blog Here.
_______________________________________
Dear pals,

I write this from prison as I am in the doghouse again for taking myself for a walk. Technically, while I ran down the road, I was on our property when the Lady spied me. I was just 2 acres from the house chasing something she couldn't see.  The benefit to this is it has given me time to reflect on the perfect Saturday we had.

The real fun started after a big nap. Lady likes to nap on Saturday, so I was treated to 3 hours of her sleeping. She is much easier to guard when she is sleeping. Then we went and sat on the front porch for an hour. The best part of this hour was that Lady brushed me for about 30 minutes of it. I love, love, love to be brushed!
A little bit of the hair that was brushed out

After dinner (which I will forgive was 25 minutes late as breakfast was 1.5 hours late - as we slept in), the Man and Lady took us for a walk to our favourite street. Remember the Man with the stick from last week? It is a walking stick and we saw him again. The first time we saw him, I was friendly and nice. Later when we passed them again Lady and I were further behind the Man and Hailey. I felt the need to protect the Lady and became a bit fierce with my barking. The Man and Lady explained to stick Man that it was because of the stick. If that wasn't enough excitement our neighbourhood horses were itching themselves on the fence by the road and I really wanted to play with them. I was much better behaved then Hailey was about them and got to walk ahead.

After our walk, the people started to build a fire. Hailey, was a scaredy cat and had to go in, but I stayed outside with my people and kept them safe. When it was time to go in, I came over and told Lady by nudging her. I knew to wait until she was done her marshmallow.

Enjoying the fire from a safe distance

Overall, I think Saturday was the best day. I got to do a lot of my favourite things and spend a lot of time with my people.

Hope you had a special Saturday too!

Blogville Girls Day in the Bush

Welcome to Girlz day. We were so excited when Dory organized this day. We wanted to show the boys we can out camp, out hike, out swim and out hunt them.  Thanks to everyone who is joining me, you host Hailey, and my cousin Emma today.

To get ready, I got my new hat from BowserBox.

Hailey

Welcome to our woods.

There is a lot of wildlife around. Deer are one of my favourites.

My very favourite are squirrels. Let's see if I can get one.

Hailey

I need some help from Molly the Wally's to get this squirrel.

Ruby has come to help too. You are in big trouble squirrel! The girls are after you!

Thanks for the help Molly and Ruby. That  squirrel was delicious!

I am very, very confident that Stanzie will be bringing a deer to dinner tonight, as long as she doesn't meet a rascally rabbit!

Here exploring the woods is Cousin Emma.  She may be little but she is fast!

Joining the hikel is Princess Leah. We will have puppicinos by the fire tonight.

Tuiren is also ready to hike. She looks as excited as I feel!

Another hiker is ready to go. It's Macy Blue!

It sure is nice out. After a long hike Mika and her little person are taking a dip in the pool.

Down on the beach Madi has set herself up for some sunbathing.  Hope you remembered your sunscreen Madi.

I can't believe it! Phoenix caught her own fish. Zoe is thinking about how to cook it.

We will eat like queens tonight. Scylla is about to catch us another fish. Great going!

Dory has joined the crew by the fishing hole. Hope she as as good luck as the others!

Also by the  lake is Millie. Hope someone brought some sushi sauce.

I am ready for hot chocolate and marshmallows by the fire. Squirrel and marshmallows is an excellent combination!

Need a drink opened? Hazel has it covered with her pop-a-top dog tag bottle opener. It is important to be prepared!

Stella Rose, Maggie and Maggie's BFF have got the tent area all set up. There is lots of room for everyone.

What a great day girls! I think we showed those boys who the better hunters and fishers are!

Thanks for coming!
