Island Princess

Every morning I ask Claire how she wants her hair done. Sometimes she says like Belle, sometimes she says Snow White, and sometimes she just says curly or down. Today when I asked her how she wanted her hair she told me that she wanted to look like an island princess....

Coming right up sweet cakes. Island princess it is.

She even told me where to put the flower. Right above her ear.

She is a pretty adorable island princess.

The Art

Of OREO dunking...

We taught the girls the fabulous art of eating Oreos and I can't believe we haven't done it before now! So tasty.

Macy is a little messier than Miss Janer

Such a dainty eater

DIY Wall Edition

Jeremy always makes fun of me because I never throw away frames. Seriously, I have a huge box full of picture frames. Picture frame hoarder...and a yarn hoarder too, but that is another post for another day. I knew I would use those frames and I finally did! A little black spray paint and voila!! We finally have some decorations in our family room! It has been a long time coming.

First we mapped out what we wanted. We changed it a little in the end but this helped us out a lot.

And the end result!! I love that it is full of personal snap shots to remind us of fun times and that we can continue to add to it and change the shape of the pattern as we go.

Next we are painting the kitchen...you wanna help?

The end is here...

The girls and I visited Jer on the last day of school! His portable was all cleaned out and he will have a fresh, brand spanking new room in the fall.

All the teachers were celebrating by playing Wacky Six (formerly known as Hokey Six) in the library. If you haven't played this game you should. It was pretty wild. A group of teachers yelling and scrambling with their cards...did I mention they were playing in the library? Funny.

Let the summer begin! Rain or shine.

You know...

I wonder when I will stop being surprised at how fast this little lady is growing up. A couple things I love about her today...just so I don't forget.

I love how excited she gets when I ask her to lick my finger so I can wipe something off her face. She loves to lick things...

I love how she says "you know" before telling me something. "This is, you know, Cinderella." or "I like, you know, frozen yogurt."

I love that she tells me that I am her best mommy.

I love that she sometimes pretends Jesus is her imaginary friend and talks to him and invites him to dinner.

I love that when we start playing the I love you more than game she always starts with "I love you more than cupcakes". Always.

I love that when I drop things or spill something she says, "It's okay mom, that sometimes happens, huh?"

I love that she has pokey ears. They are ah-dorable.

I love that every time I get ready for church and she sees me in my dress she gasps and says, "mom you look beee-uu-tiful!"

This girl is one in a million. I am so glad she is mine.

I love her...

Cool as a cucumbers

The girls have their shades on.

Summer, you may come now.

We are prepared for you.

Making sure they each look okay...or they are checking themselves out with the reflection. I guess we'll never know.
Macy wanted to eat Claire's eye wear.
