Final Kidd Family Camp

The last ever Kidd Family Camp as we know it.

Matt was working but Josh was able to join us for one night!

We had dinner and weathered the wind and rain which were a welcome change from the hot, dry summer we've been having!

There was an amazing double rainbow after the storm!

It was fun to chat and catch up with some cousins!

Then Norma led us down memory lane!

We all gathered in the little storage/out building because of the wind and shared memories of camps past.

I was super proud of Josh being willing to share as well!

The next night I went up alone for minute to win it!
T and I competed by bouncing ping pong balls into peanut butter :)

Mom did the sandal slinging again...

And the boys competed against Holly trying to get pennies out of nylons...

Mom and Norma did an M&M sorting game...

And then of course, most participated in the Oreo forehead to mouth game.
Mom distributed GF cookies :)

Visiting with family...

There was a striking moon that night!

Grateful for the many years that camp has brought us together and for all the wonderful memories that we have made!  I think the next generation (meaning mine) is trying to get something going for the future but the baton has been passed and this specific tradition has come to a close.

Bryan Family Reunion 2026

The Bryans gathered in the Uintah Basin for our reunion this year.

It was at a beautiful lodge at Six Lakes Resort just short ways away from Skin Walker Ranch haha :)

As always, Ben attracted the younger kids with his iPad...

He was pretty patient for the most part.

We eventually moved downstairs because I was worried he would stop being patient and get aggressive...however, the girls followed us down :)

Merill had chosen Six Lakes because of the fly fishing possibilities.
He turned all of the grandkids into flyfishermen/women!
Our kids seriously loved it and went out multiple times!

Strangely enough, I think Matt was the one that took to it the most and yet I seem to have the least amount of pictures of him fishing.

Jenny did a bottled water tasting...

There was also a pickleball tournament of which I got no pictures but in which Andy and I held our own pretty well against Tom and Jase for the first round ;)

Grandpa helping some of the grandkids reel up!

Josh was also popular with the little kids!

As was Andy...

We somehow were able to all gather for a few pics!

Off to the lake again...

Abby found a spot by herself...

And it looks like Matt hung out with Jenny and Mike

Jenny sent these great pics to me...

And these are from Andy from a different evening...

But back to the other night...I was getting pics of Abby and Matt from afar when I saw a rowboat in the middle of the lake and lo and behold it turned out to be Josh!

Night fishing...

Merill loved that the kids were enjoying the main activity so much!
This is him headed out with his phone blasting "You and Me Goin' Fishin' in the Dark"

We got a few games in of course!
We taught Trio, Jungo and Poetry for Neanderthals :)

It was a fun few days!
Ben did have a moment of aggression with the younger kids and it threw me for a few hours.  It always makes me so sad when he lashes out at these little innocents.  I tried to seclude ourselves in the basement from then on.  I just don't know what to do about the situation.
If I'm always secluding the two of us to avoid those moments then I start to wonder why I'm even there since it would be easier to just stay home with him.
