Meet The Motley Crew

Now this is a rat pack if I have ever seen one! The babes got to spend a lot of quality time together this weekend due to the construction of their future play set at Honey's house. Why don't we go ahead and meet the members of this motley crew....
First we have Parker. He is the smiley, blue eyed charmer that talks them into all sorts of shinanigans.
Now Macy, you'd think she'd be the pretty distraction of the operation while Parker and Cooper steal a kids lunch money or something, but no, not with this face. She has the mean stare down look going on. Even I'm kind of scared and intimidated by her and her faux Elvis lip. Grrrrr.....
Last we have Cooper weighing in at whopping 20 lbs. This big man never skips a meal and he is definitely the muscle of the trio. There is no getting past Bouncer Cooper that is fo sho. Isn't that little smile so lovable!

Now don't let those big eyes and cute binkied faces fool you. They are trouble!
BIG TROUBLE!

I love this little video of them all together....mostly because little Macy tries to take a little nibble out of her cousin Parkee's hand. Poor Parkee.

How I Love Thee....

Let me count the bajillion ways! Who wouldn't just fall in love with those beautiful blues at first sight? They had me at hello...not that you actually said hello right out of the womb, because that would be weird. This little lady is three months old and is still eating and sleeping her way into our hearts. We love you Macer.

Sushi School

What? You don't like sushi because you don't like raw fish? Well good because sushi actually means vinegar rice so you are in the clear! Jer and I love sushi so we decided to go to a class to learn how to make our favorite rolls. Takara sushi (Mmmmm...Takara sushi) offers a sweet sushi class on Monday afternoons and it was fantastic! They have the nicest chefs and it was so much fun! They teach you how to make the classic California roll and then you get to choose any of the rolls off of the menu to learn. AWESOME! We can't wait to make our own at home. So if you are feeling a little adventurous come on over for a night of sushi at the Young residence. You won't regret it!

My roll is the French Kiss and Jer's is the Crunch roll
French kiss: Tempura shrimp, cucumber, krab topped with lemon, salmon, avacado, eel sauce and spicy mayo
Crunch roll: Tempura shrimp, crab, cucumber, rolled in tempura cruchies and topped with eel sauce
Aren't they lovely?
Chef Kenny and Chef Bong were seriously nice! Thumbs up for sushi, that's right.
Shan, me and Jer. We're not too cool for sushi school! My rolls...they made us name them and all of my names were pretty lame. Apparently I am not very witty when put on the spot. One was something like "butterfly trail". Like I said, lame.
I think they were a little nevous about us wielding their super sharp blades.
Who is that handsome sushi maker? My hot hus-BAND! He was a pro at cutting the rolls. Turns out that cutting them is way harder than it looks. Chef Kenny told Jer that one of his roll placings looked like a serpent and he thought that was cool name. Much cooler than my butterfly something or other.
Shan made the Hungry roll and it was so super tasty.

Herb Time

Here are our sweet herbs. Claire has been very diligent at watering them with her daddy. We can't wait to make some delectable sauces and entree's with our new little friends. Shhhhhh...don't tell them we are going to eat them.

Grandpa's Ride

My dad has a sweet motorcycle that Claire can't get enough of! He took her on a little ride and she was in heaven! Thanks grandpa, for making her day.
This is where I grew up. Isn't it amazing? I always picture raising my kids in a place like this and being able to let them run free...ahhh the life.
