Happy Halloween

I have been a baking fool that last few weeks! We were supposed to go out of town a few weeks ago and it wasn't able to happen so I drown my sorrows into chocolate and it was so yummy!! I love experimenting and baking new things but I don't want it sittingaround here so I always take it to work! muuwwhahaha
Apples

Pretzels

This is what I like to call "Heaven". It is chocolate dipped potato chips! yum yum!! They went pretty fast around here!

Then this week I made these incredile little bites. I call them Pumpkin balls and they are the easiest thing in the world to make. You just mix 1 box of spice cake mix and a can of pumpkin. That's it!! Then just get your favorite cream cheese frosting and slather it on top. Warning: very very addicting! Get them out of the house as fast as you can!!

Then last night, after we attanded winter wonderland at Bella Fine (you should defiitely check it out), we went to my mom's house to carve pumpkins. I haven't done this in years and years so it was fun. I forgot how yucky and gooey the insides are.
We ate chili and ice cream and then away we went!

My pumpkin. One side of the pumpkin was rotten (apparently I'm not very goo d at picking out pumpkins) bu7t it made him like an old man with wrinkley skin. So really, my stupidity paid off!

Tj's pumpkin doesn't feel very well.

Ignore the litle paper doll you see in the backgroud. It's a school project for my niece.

Happy Halloween to all! I will be working but TJ will be at home if anyone wants to stop by for some candy, if he doesn't eat it all. Be safe and scary!!

So Proud

I am sooo soo proud of my hunny! He is so talented at what he does and he's such a hard worker. He is such a perfectionist and I am continually impressed at the work he does. It's not easy labor but he continues to research and improve his skills everyday. I don't know anyone else who has to know about every single detail of everything he does. He has been doing granite for about 5 1/2 years and his granite shop is becoming so well known. He was chosen to speak at the Stone Expo in Las Vegas 2 years ago and he was just featured in Stone World magazine (it's possibly the Cosmo of the granite world.... well I dunno about that....... but it's big) and I couldn't be more proud. We just received the magazine and it turned out so good!
Here is the link to his article:
Way to go hunny!

Heat #1.
Well for those of you that never heard this upcoming story, it has alot to do with the previous post of what color to do my hair. I have serious issues when it comes to my hair. I am scared to try new things and I don't think I even put color in my hair until I was 21 (thanks to the persuasion of my wonderful sister in law Valerie). I let it grow way too long without re-highlighting and I look like I belong in Apache Junction. I pick at the ends and seperate the split ends as far up as I can(I know... but don't think less of me) but to top it off, I lit it on fire the other day at work. I was working a wedding and showing one of our brides how to cut the cake when I leaned down and my dry split ends caught the flame of a votive and... wooooooosh..... the right side of my head was on fire! not even kidding! I didn't realize it at first and everyone was around trying to get my attention. Luckily it didn't burn too long before I started attacking myself to pat it out. I was lucky but as I walked around the rest of the night, people would get a terible look on their face from the smell that following me. Burnt hair is no joke!!! (a girl from work has the pictures from that night, I will try and get them. It was sad)

That being said... I knew I had to go in and get it fixed. Luckily Val worked her magic and was able to save my long locks without hacking away at them. And majority ruled on the dark hair so that's the way I went.

This is pulling it out of a pony tail so don't judge. I will style it tomorrow.

What do you think??

Heat #2.
I am obsessed with baking new things right now but never do it because I don't want it sitting around this place. And if it doesn't turn out the way I like, I just trash it all and there goes 2 hours of work. Well yesterday I saw this adorable recipe on Bakerella.com and just had to try it out. I'm not a huge pumpkin pie fan but it was so cute that I couldn't pass it up. Hopefully TJ will eat them so I don't have to. I don't have time to run that many miles to work it off.

They are litle pie crusts shaped into pumkins and them chocolate faces give them the illusion of jack-o-lanterns. Loves it!

Not all of them received faces because I wanted more chocolate on it so it would taste better for me.

That's the end of story time! Have a good day!

Molly's Wedding

This weekend one of my very good friend from high school got married. It was up in Flagstaff so we had a bit of a girls road trip. We left Saturday morning headed North. 2 hours of girl chat and snacks later, we made it.
Here we are getting ready in the ladies room before the ceremony. We didn't want to drive 2 1/2 hours in dresses and heels so we figured this was our best option.

Then it was off to the ceremony site. The ceremony was actually in a meadow about 10 minutes away from the reception site. It was a little windy and chilly for us city girls but exactly what Molly wanted. She looked so beautiful!

Just a sexy picture. The 4 of us had our cameras going all night so I'm sure they'll be more to come for you all!! or maybe just for me and my 2nd edition blog book (previous post)

Off to the reception!

Me and the beautiful bride and No- I am not pregnant, the dress was just very "billowy"

The centerpieces

And just for fun.....

Sorry Natalie and Aleisha, I had to do it!We had such a fun time and we are so happy for you Molly! We love you dearly and are so excited for you! What a beautiful bride!
