Turkey Day

Our Thanksgiving was wonderful! I didn't take as many photos as I wanted but that's OK. I will try better for all of the Christmas festivities. We had most of our Thanksgiving day at the Sherwoods and we had such yummy food. Of course Rocky had to come with us.... he goes everywhere now, and to thank me for not leaving him at home by himself he was naughty and got into the garbage later that night and ate a piece of pumpkin pie!! I prayed he wouldn't get sick again and we were lucky this time!

TJ even attempted the Turkey this year, for the first time, and it was soooo yummy!! He did a very good job! Everyone brought so much food and I wanted to eat it all!! It was sooo good. I hate the guilt that comes along with food because i wanted to go back for 2nds and 3rds but then everyone looks at you like..." Are you sure you want to eat that??" No one really said that but I feel like they are thinking that so I was good and loaded my plate once and then didn't go back for 2nds. Yay for me!

later we went to my dad's and played games and ate leftovers which were also very yummy but we didn't stay too late because we had to get up early the next morning for some serious shopping!! Tj hit up Walmart at 4:15am and stood in line for a video camera and I was so happy that he got it. He also got a digital camera and got such great deals on them both!!

I woke up at 4:30 and went with all the Sherwood girls to Walmart, then Target, then to eat breakfast and Paradise bakery and then to San Tan Mall and shopped around for awhile. I picked up a few things for super cheap but we were mostly out for the video camera so I am happy!! I think we were both in bed by 9:00 that night. I was so tired!!
This is our niece Kara and I before shopping

Tomorrow we are putting up our Christmas lights and I am excited for that. Tj's friend offered to come over and help since TJ refuses to put up lights. He will do just about anything for me but not Christmas lights. I will ware him down by next year!!

*** This goes until the 30th so take advantage***

So what do you think???

I finally decided it was time for a change. Because my hair is naturally dark, I figured I should stop frying the ends and accept my brown locks. My very talented sister-in-law Valerie helped me accomplish this. It took me 22 years to even try a little color in my hair so to do an all over color is a bit shocking but I love it more each time I look in the mirror. When Tj saw it he was a bit shocked and did the "double take" (we all know what that means) but as it fades a little I know I will love it and so will he.
Now you be honest- do you like the brown or should I make my way back to blond??

In other news: I have added to my christmas decorations. I just got this new wreath. Isn't it gorgeous?? I just love it, it hangs on my front door and I just love staring at it.

Christmas Came Early

Christmas has come early this year. yipee!!! I'm always very anxious to get my decorations up and the christmas movies out of hiding. I really have to put them away or else I'll watch them all throughout the year. As I am sitting here, I have Home Alone 1 in the DVD player, sipping hot chocolate (it's a little nippy out this morning), the smell of pumpkin spice in my kitchen and the smell of Christmas trees in my living room. I love this time of year!!

Last year my mom worked at Potterybarn for Christmas in order to get the 40% discount so my entire tree is potterybarn. I love it and I need to go get a few more ornaments but I don't want to pay full price for them. oh well!

My beautiful garland I got last year. We weren't in our house yet so I have been excited to get it out of the box.

Red and White to set the mood!

Like I said, Christmas came early this year for me!!! Whitehall Jewelers is going out of business and so everything is 40-60% off. Tj got me these matching earings and ring. I just fell in love with it when I saw it.

I "needed" a watch for work so I justified this as well. It's a Citizen watch and it feels a little wierd to wear one again, it's been so long, but it's very cute!

Merry Early Christmas to all!! Now if it would just get cold, I would really appreciate it!!

The State Fair- aka- WT land.

Yesterday TJ and I went to the fair with some friends of ours, the Duffins. They had free passes so we were totally on board and it was really fun! I have only been once before so I was really excited to go again. The rides were fun and the food was fried and yummy but I think the best part is definitely "people watching". I wish I would have taken pictures of certain people but they probably would have thought I was wierd or something. I have never seen so many crazy, WT people all in one place together and I loved every minute of it.

Kevin and Tara on the way there

Tara and I were way braver then the boys. What a bunch of wusses. hahah just kidding but we were definitely the dare-devils. I love rides like this and just live in a little naive world where nothing will ever happen to me! This is us before the scariest ride ever. I was pretty sure we were going to die!! If the harness came undone... I would be dead. TJ assured me it would be OK because he would sue for millions and the $$$ would help him grieve. nice huh??

The death trap!!

We got the boys to go on the Zipper and I loved it. I kept spinning it and then TJ "had enough". If you blow up the picture you can see how happy he was to go on that!!

We took a break to go eat and we all headed straight for the Indian fry bread stand! yum yum!! I also wanted a funnel cake but I figured that was too much fried food in 1 hour. I held out for the chocolate covered banana. it was scrumptious!! Tara and I eating.

I had to sneak this in. hahahahh! He was so intense and concentrated. I couldn't help it!!

oh, so cute!!

Off to the rides again. We headed to the one that shoots you straight up and down. Again, just Tara and I. We got to the top and Tara had flip flops so we tried to get them off as fast as we can and we weren't paying attention to the countdown and woooosh!! off we went. It was fun!

We are at the top of that thing!!

TJ refused to ride the ferris wheel (hahhaah if anyone wants to hear that story, please ask!! Long story short- he hates heights) so our last ride was the water log ride. We got the boys to go on that one and it was actually really fun. The boys got soaked!! Tara and I hid between them so we didn't get it too bad.

We ended the night with movie night at the Duffins. Thanks for a fun day guys! We had a blast!!
