1 Month!

Kate is now one month old! See how much she's grown? The first and third pictures were taken the day we went home from the hospital and the second and fourth were taken at 1 month.

*As a side note, this is my 100th blog post. I had told Christian that I wanted to announce I was pregnant on the 100th post. He laughed and said, "At the rate you blog, you'll have had the baby by then." He was right.

Comparison

Tell me honestly, who is the more stylish missionary? *

*Don't worry. I already know the answer isn't me.

My Long Lost Sister

A year ago my sister Carrie went on a mission to Seoul, South Korea, and I haven't seen her since. I mean, really, I hadn't even seen a picture of her! Finally, a couple of days ago I got a package in the mail with Korean birthday presents for me and my other sister Emmy and inside the box was a CD of pictures. It's so good to see her (or at least a picture of her). Only 6 more months and I'll get to see (and hug) the real thing. I can't wait!

This last picture isn't actually from Carrie, but it makes me smile, so I put it in.

Missionary Apartments

I saw these pictures of Carrie's apartments and it made me laugh. I think it doesn't matter where you are....Brazil, England, Korea, or Nebraska, missionary apartments all look about the same. There are always clothes hanging in odd locations, boxes of who-knows-what, stacks of books, interesting decorating strategies (such as taping every picture from last month's Ensign above your desk), and a refrigerator that was one of the first ever made.

Seriously, who really needs a closet when PVC pipe is just as good?
Isn't it nice to be able to shower and go to the bathroom all at the same time?
If you look closely, I'm sure you'll find an Ensign magazine from 1987, a Family Home Evening manual in Spanish, and about 300 restoration pamphlets.
I'm pretty sure that green thing is a make-shift couch....but then again it could be a discreet place to hide suitcases.

I'm guessing they don't use the oven very often.

Look, she did get our Christmas letters!!

What a meal!

OK, I don't think this picture is her apartment, but it would have been really cool if it was!

South Korea's got Seoul

Here is a photo tour of Seoul seen through the eyes (well, really camera lens) of my missionary sister, Carrie. I think my favorite picture is the guy in pink playing the saxophone.
