It's a....

We are having a BOY!!! We are so excited, especially for Carson. Every boy needs a brother, I am so happy that we can give him that. There were no if, ands, or buts about it...the ultrasound said it all. Clearly a boy!! As I mentioned before our scanner is broke, so I can't scan the ultrasound pic on right now..but it was so cute. You could see his little spine, and all his cute little parts. We are going to name him Lincoln, the minute they told me it was a boy...it just felt right!! I have had a feeling from the very beginning that it would be a boy, I just can't wait. Everything is still going well, my cervix might or might not end up giving us some problems. There is a small area on the inside where it looks like it never healed completely from when I had Carson. I had an episietomy (I know that is not spelled right) and I tore pretty bad and it never healed up completely. My doctor thinks it should be fine, we just need to watch it. The baby may come a little early, which scares me. I just hope it won't come to early. I have felt peace throughout this pregnancy, and really feel as if my little Lincoln is meant to come to us right now. Sometimes I get scared with the different complications I have had, but I am trying to remember to have faith and to rely on my father in heaven. I know he is directing my life, and I am confident that things will be fine. However, if you would like to keep us in your prayers...I would be just fine with that.

Memorial Day!!

Grandpa showing everyone exactly where he wants to be buried

Best Buds

Aunt Shelley, mom, Grandpa, Tam, and aunt Susie

We have always done the same thing for Memorial Day, for as long as I can remember. We go to my Grandpa Woodyatt's (my moms dad) house for lunch, my cute grandma always gets pizza and makes a salad and dessert. We just eat and visit while the kids play in my grandpa's huge basement. They love it down there. Then we head over to the graves where my Great Grandparents are buried. My grandpa is such a goofball, he will be turning 80 this next month, but you would never know it. He is a cherry farmer, and has been a farmer his whole life. He is in better shape than any of us, and still runs around like he is 20 years old. He is so funny, he just makes us laugh and laugh. The kids call him Grandpa Cherry. Every year that we go to the graves he makes a big point of telling us all that this is probably his last year, and we had better come visit his grave when he is gone. This year the little kids were all over sitting on top of the grave with my grandpa, we walk over there and hear him telling Tanner and Hallie that next year he will be dead, so they will be sitting on his grave. You should have seen the kids faces, they were horrified. What a thing to say to kids, especially Tanner. That kind of thing terrifies him. Oh grandpa, he is so funny. After that, we drove over to Logan to visit my cute Granny O (my moms mom), and to go up to her husbands grave. My grandpa died about 6 years ago, he was the first grandparent I have had that has passed away. We still miss him alot, but know he is in a better place where he is no longer suffering. I love memorial day, it is so fun to get together with family, but most importantly to remember our family that has gone on. They are waiting for us on the other side, and I truly believe they watch over us all. My friend Jill, had the most interesting thought....she said that it is reassuring to her to think that her loved ones who have passed on, are up in heaven taking care of and loving her future babies. I think that too, my little one is up there in heaven being held and kissed and hugged by the many wonderful, people I have only heard about. That is such a comforting thought. What a great memorial day!

Zoo Pals!!

We actually went to the Zoo last Monday, I just haven't gotten around to posting about it yet. Thiago has so much vacation time built up at work, so he decided to take the day off and take me and Carson to the zoo. Monday is usually the day I hang out with my mom and Ash, so we decided to let them come along. It was hot, hot, hot that day, but I loved it. And Carson and Brev had so much fun. We packed up a lunch and took it with us, and then just wandered around and saw all the animals. Carson got a bigger kick out of all the waterfalls in the exhibits and the little pond at the front of the zoo, then the actual animals. I don't know why my kid is so obsessed with water, he is fascinated by swimming, hoses, sprinklers, waterfalls, whatever. He also really liked the monkeys. He LOVES Curious George, we have about every episode saved on our DVR (me and Thiago go crazy everytime he watches it, cause we have seen them all a thousand times). Anyways, so every monkey we saw whether it looked like George or not, Carson would say "Oh, its Georgey". We also bought him a ton of treats...popcorn, snowcone, some toys at the gift shop, all of that was a hit with him too. It was a lot of fun, just wished Jen and the boys could have been with us too. But they will be here in 3 days....can't wait!!

Tractor Tippin...

Well, technically they are not "Tractor Tippin" as Carson calls it. (This phrase is off Cars, for all of those who don't know what I am talking about.) More like tractor riding. My mom and Dean are laying sod down this week at their new house and they have landscaped the back of their yard with these huge rocks. Well, a few of the rocks have ended up in the wrong spot, so instead of lifting them, my cute Deano decided to just pull the tractor out. Dean is a general contractor and literally has every tool/toy imaginable. You need it, and that man has got it. He has soooo much stuff. Obviously, this is part of the reason Carson loves him so much. He loves to hang out with his grandpa and work, work, work. The more tools they use the better. Carson was in seventh heaven when Deano took him over to the tractor, he was all business up there. He would barely pause and look at me for a picture, he was to busy going to work with his Grandpa. So cute, thanks Deano for all the wonderful memories you are making with my little boy. He sure does love his Papa!!

Our Anniversary

First off, I am so mad!! I got half of our anniversary pics developed and the other half I didn't. I accidently deleted the first half off the camera before I could transfer them to our computer. This normally would not have been a problem, cause I could have just scanned them. BUT....our stupid scanner is broke, I don't know what is wrong with it, but it looks like we are going to have to get a new one. This kind of stuff really irritates me. Anyways, we had a great anniversary. Carson stayed with his Uncle Gus and Grandpa Regi all day, so me and Thiago actually got the whole day with just the two of us. This never happens...and of course we spent our entire time talking about Carson, but oh well. It was still great to just be together. We went to Park City in the morning and shopped and spent way to much money. Carson got the most stuff (like always), then me, and finally Thiago got a few things. This is always how it goes, he makes the money, and me and Carson spend it. Oh well, he always says he prefers it the way. We got back from Park City a little earlier than we thought we would, so we had time to go to a movie. I can't even tell you the last time the two of us went to a movie on a Saturday afternoon. We rarely go at night, let alone the middle of the day. We wanted to see Ironman or Chronicles of Narnia, but they both started to late, so we saw Baby Mama instead. We actually really liked it. Kind of dumb humor, but we were entertained, and it had a cute ending. That night we went to Ruth's Chris Steak House in Salt Lake. So fancy and sooooo expensive. However it was well worth it, the food is seriously to die for. They gave us free sparkling cider and free dessert, since it was our anniversary and we still spent over $100 for just the two of us. Luckily, we knew this going in...so it wasn't a surprise. We had a great day, and look forward to many more anniversaries.

The two of us

I don't know about the rest of you...but my little belly seems to grow throughout the day when I am pregnant. I start off not showing in the morning, and by the end of the day...oops theres the baby bump.

Thiago was mortified that I kept asking people to take our picture, I don't know why this was so embarrassing for him, but appearantly it was.

May 17, 2003 - 5 Years!!

Goodness...I can't believe I have been married for 5 years. Tomorrow is our anniversary, and since we are obviously going to go out and play all day...I decided to do a quick post tonight about my little husband. It seems like we have been together for as long as I can remember, well I guess since we were 15...so it might as well be forever. I cannot imagine my life without my sweet husband, we have been through everything together. The good, the bad and all the in between. It is so weird to think back to highschool, or even when we were newly married and to think of all the dreams we had, we were so naive. But in a good way. I can't believe all that we have gone through in our 5 years of marriage, I can't even comprehend what 15, 20, or 45 more years will bring. Where will we be in life, what will we have done, what loss will we have suffered, and what dreams will we have accomplished. One thing I know for sure, is I want no other person holding my hand throughout this life and all eternity than my darling husband. I love him so much, I can't even imagine where or who I would be without him. He is my other half, and is what I live for. I don't mean to always get so sentimental, but my Thiago, Carson and little one on the way are my world. I love them so much...I am so grateful to have them for all eternity. I could go on and on, but I will wrap it up. Honey, I love you...thank-you for all that you do, the way you love me, the way you love Carson. Just for being the wonderful person that you are, you are inspiration to me, you build me up like no one else can, you have been there for me through everything. You give me a reason to laugh and smile every second of my life. There is no where else on earth I would rather be, then here with you raising our little family. I love you!!! Heres to many, many more years to come!

The secrets out...

This happy, little boy....

And this excited, little daddy....

And this ecstatic, little mommy.....have a very important announcement to make

Thats right friends, this little family of three is about to become a happy, little family of four. Well, in 6 more months that is. We are pregnant, and we are so beyond excited. I am a little over 12 weeks along, and I am feeling great. For all of those who don't know, this has been a long road for us, trying to get another little baby here. I am sure not as long as some people have to go through, but we have had our fair share of heartache and struggles. We don't have a necessarily easy time getting pregnant, it takes us quite awhile to get there. And then once we were, we miscarried twice. The first one was hard enough, but then to have it happen again was almost more than I could bare. There were times when I wondered if I would ever know the feeling of holding a baby in my arms again. It has been the longest 12 weeks of my life waiting to see if my body could hold on to this one, I have an amazing Doctor who has helped me every step of the way, and has been watching this little one so very close. We have had a few minor scares, but things have cleared up and are progressing perfectly so far. We pray that it continues that way. I want this baby so bad, my heart physically aches for it. I have faith in my Father in Heaven and know that his hand is directing my life and the life of our baby, I know he has a plan for us. We just continue to take it day by day, and hope that come November I will be holding my little angel baby.

Here are my little ones most recent ultrasounds, I have had about 6 or 7 so far, I have been going weekly to check on my little baby... and I have loved it. With Carson I got 3 ultrasounds, thats it 3. So I have absolutely loved getting to see my sweetheart in there kicking and to listen to its little heartbeat every week. It has been so reassuring for me. This first picture is my favorite, you have to look close but you can see its little profile, little nose and eyes. I just love it. The second one, you can see its little leg up in the air kicking, so cute!!

Now for the craziest part of all....my cute little sister Ashley is also pregnant. CRAZY!! And to make it even crazier we found out on the exact same day. She is the most fertile person alive and gets pregnant after like a day, well not really but fast. So not a shocker that she is, but I couldn't believe we both were. To make things even weirder.... Jenny and I had are first babies within 12 days of each other. Then Jenny's second and Ashley's first were one month apart. And now these 2 babies are 2 days apart, are family must like to do things in twos. So funny.

Here are our 2 little positive sticks, what a great day that was.

Two cute, little, happy mommies-to-be!!

Well, thats that. I will definitely keep posting on how things are going, I have another appointment in 2 weeks and there is a possibility we might be able to tell what the baby is. Fun, fun!!

Happy Mothers Day to Me!!

I just love Mothers Day, probably because I love being a mom so much and having a whole day to celebrate that is absolutely wonderful. This year did not disappoint me. We started off by going to church, which was great. The sacrament talks were all on motherhood and the divine calling we have as mothers, which is my favorite topic, then of course they give you a little treat at the end of sacrament. Carson must have sensed what a special day it was, cause he was a perfect angel to me all day. He kept putting his little arm around me and kissing my cheek, and then he would say "Mommy, me love you." It was so sweet, he has the softest heart and is the most tenderhearted little thing. How did I get so blessed! After that we headed home, and that is when things got kinda crazy. Ash and I decided to go ahead and cook dinner at my house for my wonderful, mommy-dear, grandma and aunt Tammy and Uncle Steve. We invited Jill, Kyle and the kids but they were in St. George for the weekend. Ash came over right after church to help me get dinner going, I am not the finest cook ever. I do pretty well for my own little family, but a larger group of people is a littler harder. Although I must say we did a great job. Everything turned out perfect and everyone seemed to enjoy it. After dinner we opened presents, I didn't get much cause my camera was my mothers day present...but I did get a beautiful bouquet of tulips, which I love!! I also got a book on mothers from my mom put together by President Hinckley. I loved that too. Jill and the kids ended up getting home from their trip pretty early, so they came over and all the kiddos played outside, while the boys watched the Jazz game and the girls did what we do best, sit around and talk. It was a great day, the only thing missing was I didn't get to see Thiago's mom since she is in Brazil. We missed her! How grateful I am for my own mom, as I mentioned in my previous post. However I am also so grateful for the oppurtunity I have to be a MOM...nothing has have brought more joy or satisfaction to my life then my little boy. I love him, children are such a miracle. I am so grateful that I get to witness that miracle every day of my life. I love being a mom, what a great day!!

Look at my boys...oh, how I love them!
